Vaen sucked her teeth at the stranger's response. "Not speaking ill of them, but it's the truth; everyone has faults. If you can't accept that you'll never advance." Vaen would stop short of the lecture, knowing the padawan lost his master. However, she didn't pity him, and her emotions and expressions would remain neutral. Losing your master was somewhat common, and Vaen lost hers as well. There was a good probability that the same would happen if she ever became a master. Although it seems that the Padawan wasn't getting what Vaen meant by bad habits. In fact, his general attitude was worse than other padawans she met, including Rishe.

When Vaen stepped out she looked down the street and spectated the riot. "Guess I won't be heading back to my room, what a waste." She waited for Var, but it seems the padawan followed her as well. Vaen was a bit confused on why the Padawan was acting like the Jedi Knight had no clue about any of this. She wiped some of the dust off of her robes while he talked, but didn't really listen until he mentioned his name.

"Oh so you're the one who threw the party, that explains a lot of it." she said turning towards him with a grin. Vaen looked at the cloak in his hand and simply shrugged "Sorry it's rude to give people gifts in my culture." She would let out a chuckle before turning to listen to Var.

"Well not sure about him but I'm going over to my ship" She would point down the street, the opposite direction of the riots. "My ship is parked down there in a lot." Vaen then looked back at the Padawan "Thanks for coming, but you really need to work on your persuasion skills. I suggest talking to a padawan named Rishe Vakren, she has the same problem as you." She stepped out from the awning and made her way down the road "Go get a lightsaber too." she said walking away with a wave.

Drastus would look to Var. "Go where the Force guides you. It's why I came here. I'm sure our paths will cross again." his visor would scan the crowds until Vaen spoke, before he looked over at her.

"Wasn't a party, it was just a potluck." he would say with a laugh before slinging the cloak over his shoulder. "Padawans like me? That could be bad." he joked, but he was already looking forward to making a new friend. "Got one, just need to purify it. Stay low and move quick. I got this. "

He would step away down the street. "I saw the Jedi heading to the Red Light District!" he'd shout over the yelling of the rioters, causing them to start to move quickly in the opposite direction of Vaen's ship. He would run in stride with the people for several blocks before darting down a side alley. "They'll be fine, Drast." he mused to himself. "Now.. maybe it's time to get to the Space Port."

As Vaen began to walk away and wave, he stood beside Drastus for a moment longer before giving him a small shrug and a smirk. "Apologies. My path leads elsewhere." He then quickly jogged to catch up to Vaen, not giving a second look back as he heard Drastus's shouts to aid in their escape.

"So." He began. "I think we have a great deal to discuss, Jedi."

"I do not have a great deal to discuss. You do." Vaen made her way down the road, somewhat in a hurry, but mostly to get out of the rain. It was letting up slightly, but still annoying. She was also somewhat annoyed with handling force users all day. First the two thieves, and now a random person wanting to ask questions. "I should have gone back on my expedition."

Approaching her ship, Vaen would stop short and turn around towards Var. "Ask your questions now, because you're not coming with me until I know what you came for." Her turn was harsh and demanding. She couldn't just bring some stranger to Yavin just because he is a force user and needs help.

As Vaen suddenly stopped, turned and abruptly asked what Varosut had came for, he was at a loss for words. Staring at her blankly, he seemed to be trying to decide on what to say. His usual blank and expressionless face now forming a deep frown. He knew that what he said to her next, might very well decide and seal his fate, whatever that fate may be.

" My mother I think, saw something in me. My father believed my destiny was set in stone.. " He looked up at the sky as it poured rain down onto him, closing his eyes. He allowed himself to relax. Despite the shouting in the distance, despite the arduous journey he had undertaken unto this point. Despite everything. He simply allowed himself to exist, without the worries that usually plagued his mind, without the anxiety he constantly felt about his place in the universe. They were pressed for time and all he could do was attempt to formulate the proper words to accurately explain how he feels, and why he came.

"My mother died trying to protect me from a life she felt was not my destiny. My father killed her simply for that."

His eyes opened and this time as he gazed into her own, he seemed focused. As if a moment of clarity had washed over him.

"I always believed that she had died in vain, for naught. At the behest of a man who was only concerned with the life my tribe had lived for a very long time. He was short sighted, and cruel. I always believed that there was no meaning to her death."

He walked to stand beside Vaen, they faced opposite directions, he now faced her ship as if he knew he was supposed to leave with her.

"A few years ago, I began feeling things... Seeing things differently. I started developing strange.... Abilities. That I was only able to successfully replicate with the upmost concentration, as if I was solving a puzzle, except deep within myself. At the time, I thought myself strange, different. Helpless. As if I had zero control over my life, and now all of these things were happening to me at once. Things I could not and still cannot explain. My tribes shaman told me that to his knowledge he had only heard of such abilities being used by Jedi. That is why I've been searching, for answers."

He turned his head towards her, taking his eyes off of her ship and returning them back to her own eyes. "Vaen, I now see that my mother was correct, my purpose wasn't to lead my tribe into battle for glory, to kill in the name of simple territorial gain... I now see she did not die in vain because she knew all along I was meant for something greater."

He hoped he didn't sound arrogant, or brash. But what he was trying to convey wasn't something he could just say with words. Raising his hand, he stretched his arm out, extending it until his elbow locked. He unclenched his fist, opening his palm as he closed his eyes and tried to concentrate, he had to show her. If not to convince her of his words, but himself as well.

Turning away from her, his outstretched hand was now pointed at a nearby parked speeder. He reached deep within himself, into the recesses of his very being. Not entirely understanding how any of this was possible. But regardless, he knew that it was, even if he couldn't explain it.

His eyes shot open at the same moment he raised the elevation of his hand higher, and as he did so the speeder lifted off of the street. Hovering at least 10 feet from the ground. This was the first time he had attempted to lift anything in the same manner other than objects much much smaller than this speeder. He was only able to sustain this action for an approximate amount of three whole seconds before his arm dropped and he fell to one knee. As he did so the speeder fell back to the ground, luckily landing in the same position it had been parked in. He seemed exhausted, panting and sweating as if he had spent hours undergoing rigorous physical training.

As his strength somewhat returned, he slowly stood and faced her. "I don't know what this means, or what I am. Or where I belong, or where I need to go to find the answers to those questions.. But I know that I need guidance, or those very same questions will tear me apart for the rest of my days."

He paused, his expression now hopeful that she would help him. That she could take him to a place where he knew he had a purpose. A real one, not the miserable blueprint his father had wanted to force upon him. " Please. " he asked. His deep voice carrying an immense amount of emotional weight along with his words. "I have no one else to turn to. No where else to go."

Vaen was a little bit surprised hearing an entire backstory. There were other Jedi that had similar stories, so it didn't really matter to her. His connection to the force was also weak, considering his age. Vaen recalled lifting up things at the age of 7. However, Var could use the force enough to actually cause harm, which meant he needed proper training.

Vaen turned around and pressed a button on the side of her ship, lowering the ramp. "Ya know you could have just said "I can use the force and want to become a Jedi" but your explanation works too." She made her way up the ramp and entered a ship, gesturing Var to come along. "Don't expect to become one of us quickly though. It took me about five years to become a padawan, and kids learn faster than adults do."

The trip from Coruscant to Yavin would take around two days but Vaen didn't really have anything else planned anyways. She would lift the ramp of the ship off and began taking off from Coruscant. In her mind, she couldn't get the image of the Zeltron's face out of her head. Vaen would also make a stop at Naboo in the future to investigate the Cytra family.

He heard her words, but was encouraged despite them. "I can use the force and want to become a jediii" He muttered in a mocking tone. "Excuse me for my serious demeanor, I am not used to this sort of stuff..."he followed her up the ramp into her ship.

"Thank you.." He softly stated. "I didn't know what else to do."
