Nara reached over to take the card, checking the stencilled lettering. Very minimalist. Their hands brushed together, making Nara shiver a little. She slipped the card back and nodded, looking up into his eyes. "Understood, lieutenant," she replied quietly as she slid the card in with her things. She closed her book shut and packed it away in her bag, along with her headphones.

Looking around to check what the others were doing, she took advantage of the lull in attention to slip away from where she'd been. Revealing her name and former rank had been bad enough, but to be recognised by a former colleague? Especially one that'd known her since she was a teenager? Very sloppy. She'd have to do better.

Nara was a few blocks away before she risked stopping, fishing out the card from her bag. She twirled it between her fingers as she thought about if it was worth it. Trusting cops was a surefire way towards disappointment and a prison cell... but if he could actually help her get a lead to Kori, then she was willing to try anything. Nara knew she'd have to send out some messages to old friends... then she'd contact the hunky cop again.

Vacation over, I guess.

Before the blond ranger even turned around, Nara Allam was long out of sight. Stealth likely long learned for being adrift in the galaxy. From her sunglasses and aloof attitude to her veiled replies, there was a distinct cunning there that many lacked. Probably why she was alive being all on her own. Corran wasn't entirely sure he could trust her - he trusted Force-users with a healthy dose of skepticism - but she was the best lead he had. As uncomfortable as it made him, Lieutenant Velt had to put faith in the kindness of strangers. Hopefully turning out better than last time.

The others were distracted in their own conversations or had exchanged contact information one way or another. At the least, everyone here could message the Sector Rangers and ask to speak with Corran Velt. He had announced himself for that purpose. With this small, eclectic crowd now going for drinks or mingling in their own matters, the lieutenant felt it best to depart. He never drank on duty and had more ground to cover today. While this particular watering hole had provided an immense amount of leads to follow up on, others might prove more direct paths.

He doubted it, but one never knew.

Corran tucked away his datapad and secured up his jacket to the collar. His boots stood on the pavement, overhanging the street. He checked both ways to make sure no traffic was on-coming. Coast clear. For a moment longer, his gaze lingered on where he'd last see Nara before she departed out of sight. Why, he did not know. Yet another mystery revolving around that woman.

Without another word, the blond man crossed the street and disappeared around a building's corner. Some trails led nowhere. Though there was a gut feeling that the ones found today would lead down a path he couldn't predict.
