As a Youngling and Padawan, Akiva learned and became an expert at the Shii-Cho form. His first master had started teaching Akiva the Niman form but was killed before he could really teach him anything more than the basics.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
He has solid resolve and dedication to the ways of the Jedi. He's loyal to a fault will stop at nothing to help out a friend. The current state of the Jedi has conflicted Akiva's resolve but is determined to continue be an example of the ideals of the Jedi.
GEAR:
Akiva wears the traditional brown robes of the Jedi. He has a lightsaber that he constructed as a youngling. It contains a blue crystal and the hilt design was something that Akiva made using his subconscious and the force in order to create something that would naturally be an extension of himself. He carries a communicator for sending and and receiving messages.

PERSONALITY:
Akra is a personable, honest and caring person. All he know and all he remembers is of his life at the Jedi Temple. There are times where he wonders what his life would have been like with his family but only in dreams and very rarely. Being raised among the Jedi, Akira had developed a sense of right and wrong and the persistence to see that justice prevails. He has a sense of humor and can take a joke. He's loyal to his friends would do just about anything to keep them safe. He believes in the Jedi code and strives to live his life by it.
BIOGRAPHY:
Akira doesn't have many memories of his parents. What he does remember is mostly what they look like and what he's been told. While he knows is that his father was an untrained force wielder who got by as a smuggler and was killed protecting his son, not much was known about his mother other than what she looked like. What was unknown to Akiva was that his mother was a Sith and in fact, it was she who killed Akiva's father in an attempt to kill their son. She would have succeeded in it as well if it hadn't been for the interference of the Jedi. When the Jedi discovered that the baby had midichlorians within him, they brought him back to the Jedi Temple to start his training in the ways of the force.
Life at the Jedi Temple was good. Akira found it serene and comforting. It was for all intent purposes, home to him. The only home he had ever known and for whatever reason, Akira seemed to thrive in the atmosphere. He took to his studies and learned the ways of the force along with the other younglings in his group and was considered a good student of the living force.. When it was time and Akira was ready, he went out with a small group to participate in the Gathering where a youngling learns to construct his or her own lightsaber. Using his abilities and centering himself in the force, Akiva did well and found a crystal that spoke to him and at once Akiva realized that this was the crystal that would be part of his lightsaber. Once Akiva found the parts, he created a hilt . When Akiva ignited it for the first time, he realized that he had a blue lightsaber blade. Akiva continued on with his training as a youngling until the age of 9 when he was selected by Master Yuriko Hattori to become her Padawan.
Akira learned much from Master Hattori. Over the next three years Akiva accompanied his master on various missions. Some were diplomatic but more were missions of action. Everything from hostage situations, kidnappings and other situations that require the need of a Jedi Guardian. With each mission and the passing of years, Akira and his master became intertwined as master and apprentice. Akira learned from his master and the ways of a Jedi Guardian. The lessons came slowly in order to grasp the concept of each lesson so it would never be forgotten. Master Hattori even began to teach Akira the Niman form but then came the Battle of Coruscant.
The battle caught everyone off guard and even though Master Hattori and Akiva fought bravely, Akiva's master knew before long that the battle was lost. Although she did not realize the extent of realization to it was too late. Faced with a tough decision, Yuirko Hattori instructed Akiva to get a group of younglins to safety knowing that it would be the last time master and student would see each other again. Before they departed to their fates, Yurkio made Akiva promise that he would complete his training in order to become a Jedi Knight. Then Master Yurkio Hattori led a group of Padawans into battle for the last time.
After the Battle of Coruscant, between the survivor's guilt he was feeling and the in-fighting between the Jedi made Akiva's resolve falter a bit. However, Akiva's faith in the force never faltered and once the Jedi Order seemed stable again, Akiva began training though he mostly took to old holocrons for his training. While these lessons did Akiva well, he soon realized that he needed connection with real people and not just ghosts from the past. His determination to complete his training and become a Jedi Knight had begun anew.
