COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE:
Arali is a Rutian Twi'lek from, which means her skin is a bright turquoise. Her facial features would be considered possibly attractive amongst other Twi'lek and possible Humans. Her lekku are long and unmarred, and her figure is nothing special. Not yet old enough to have weathered much beyond Ryloths's own troubles, her face is not wrinkled nor disfigured. She is yet unscarred apart from a few thin scars on her arms which are often covered with the long, brown robes she wears. Her clothing is generally loose fitting, simple and made of linen. There is a simple black belt with a lightsaber clipped to it. The lightsaber blade itself is a green colour. She wears simple sandals on her feet.

PERSONALITY:
A caring individual, the young girl Alari was known around her home settlement on Ryloth as constantly being concerned for the welfare of those around her. She was shunned as a child for a particular incident owing to her force sensitivity and therefore tries her hardest to prove herself to new people she meets and her superiors. However, she can appear over-bearing and fussy to those she knows well enough to see on a regular basis.

LIKES AND DISLIKES:
Alari strongly dislikes slave traders and the concept of slavery itself, due to her background on Ryloth and subsequent life on Coruscant. She has a strong caring nature and so feels the need to be loving and caring to all she may meet unless given a reason otherwise. With a strong sense of justice she has always dreamt of finally becoming a Padawan in the Jedi Order since she was discovered to be force sensitive. Alari has a strong need for knowledge, constantly searching out new texts and lore to school herself on. She has a particular penchant for the history of the Jedi Order and its key figures, as well as learning new techniques with the Force. With a strong sense of duty, she is loyal to those that have proven themselves to be a worthy cause.

BIOGRAPHY:
Alari'Duras was born to the small family of Duras in a small village on Ryloth. She had a sister who was taken into slavery at a young age in service of some spice traders. Her mother and father co-existed with the local populace peacefully, their lives punctuated by fear occasionally as various wars and conflicts including the Second Imperial War. She lived on Ryloth for her childhood and into her juvenility, however the loss of her family's Rycrit farm due to financial hardship sent her away to Coruscant so as to make sure she could provide a living for herself and so her mother and father could sustain themselves also.

Her life on Coruscant was not a happy one. She was confined to the lower levels of the City because of her lack of wealth and was often the victim of harassment by local thugs and vagabonds, even the victim of attempted kidnap a few times because of the Rutian complexion. This further developed her hatred of slavers and slavery as a whole and fuelled her determination to see it vanquished.

Her force sensitivity was discovered by a Jedi Master visiting the lower levels in order to investigate spice trading. She was tied up in the ship of a particular nasty trader after finally being captured. Alone and scared, the Jedi sensed her presence and found her, untying her. He was just consoling her as the trader happened upon the pair. The Jedi, his back turned to the vile criminal, did not notice him as he pulled his blaster from his trousers. Alari, panicked, reacted quickly. A metal door slammed shut right on the trader's face just as he squeezed the blaster's trigger. The Jedi, astounded, took the young Twi'lek back to his ship and then back to the Temple on Tython where she was given new, fresh and simple robes and access to the Great Jedi Library where she studied for days on end waiting for the assignment of a master.
