Prompt: The time is ripe to soften up a potential target for crusade! That is what the chaos in Imperial Hutta represents. If the province collapses and becomes independent, then there will be nothing to stop us from sweeping in! It's time to set this region truly on fire! Incite a riot on one of the worlds within Imperial Hutta and do the most property damage you can!

The Imperial Hutta base on before Koil was not that large nore that formidable in terms of galactic standards. The initial imperial presence on the planet had been enough to subdue the populace of the planet though not without cost. After a few decades of policing and the fact the planet was remote compared to other mandalorian planets Vatol had been forced to submit to the Imperial control and experienced its own kind of oppression that was still constant whereas Mandalore, Concord Dawn and other planets had been liberated from the grip of the Imperial Republica.

The people of Vatol were not unlike their distant mandalorian cousins. They had fire in their hearts even to the point that they rebelled against the great mandalorian dominion ages ago. However they were kindred spirits and shared a history. Today Koil would incite them to rebel once again.

With his troupe of Personal Entertainment Attendants playing music he exited his ship atop his Basilisk War Droid. He sat atop his mount high over others with deck sweeper mounted on the cradle in front of his saddle ready to be fired one handed as the front rested on the top of his droids head. Behind him a dozen of his warriors, garbed in black and red beskar'gam representing the clan and house Solus stood with weapons ready.

There were not many people out, likely due to curfew. But that did not mean they could not be brought out. He was here to do something he was somewhat at odds with, riling people up but he was a Rally Master and Al'Verde to clan Solus.

Wyatt stood tall with his personal team of Mandalorians, the same men who'd accompanied him on Corellia with Dio and the strange alien rebel leader Mig. The men sported the same armor as Wyatt with shades of grey and red markings, they bore a distorted mythosaur on the left shoulder and moved in unison with Wyatt who was only distinguishable from the men by the markings he bore on his helmet; the angry jaig eyes usually were enough to command a certain degree of given respect and with his stance among the people he hoped it would extend to rally the people of Vatol on this evening.

Wyatt looked up at the sound of the basilisk, clearly one of his partners for this task had arrived as Wyatt exited the cargo hold of the ship he and his men had arrived in. Carrying his normal load out and walking with staff in hand Wyatt activated his commlink to speak to those who remained in the ship as the only means of communicating was short range for the time being due to the rebel activity. "Stay close while you can, we may need additional troops.." With a wave off from the ground Wyatt looked back to his men who were holding loose security and scanning for any hostile presence "Kill anyone who displays loyalty to the Imperials, burn their property and bring glory to our name." Wyatt finished placing his free hand over his heart and then igniting the staff as he marched forward down the street with his men breaking into teams of four to begin a close search for imperials or insignias on buildings.

Leandros sat atop his mount, breathing in and out, steeling himself for what was to come. The Basilisk below him stirred restlessly and he responded by patting it on the side of its “head.” The machine responded with a low buzz and settled, just as eager for the coming battle as its rider. His ship, the Te’r La’aka’a, soared across the skies of Vatol, having slipped past the Imperial security via IFF spoofer and forged Imperial documents from their stolen corvette. The Imperials had no clue what was coming. The HoloNet for Imperial Hutta was knocked completely out, and they were left isolated and cut off from the rest of the galaxy. Such isolation did not bode well for the planets in the Imperial Rupublica-controlled space, but it was a boon for the Mandalorian clans. Ripe for the taking, the planets within Hutta space were completely on their own with only the marginal Imperial garrisons and criminal underworld to maintain order.

Vatol was one such planet. They were here to incite rebellion and sow as much chaos as possible in order to weaken the Imperial presence and establish a foothold on the planets in the event of a future crusade to claim the territory. He was doing this assault with Wyatt and Koil, both members of his clan and both seasoned veterans. He held no fear, for he knew his gods were watching him this day. There would be no quarter given, no hesitation in the slaying of Imperials. They were Mandalorians, and they were here to ruin someone’s day.

The ramp lowered as they approached their drop zone. Once ready, Leandros spurred his Basilisk onward and thrust himself out into the open air. Wind buffeted him at high speeds and he instinctively gripped the mount even tighter, even though he knew he would not fall off. The Basilisk below him began to slow its descent as its master steered towards the Imperial base they were attacking.

The Field Marshal wore his standard armor and carried his usual armament with the inclusion of a PIPE-VII stashed on the back of the Basilisk, ready for chaos to ensue. He had two reloads for all of his weapons, but three rockets for his PIPE in storage containers on the droid.

In moments, the droid slammed into the earth not too far from Wyatt’s position, sending out an earth-shuddering tremor in the immediate area. That would certainly get people outside. Leandros raised his rifle, looking around for any opposition.

Both Leandros and Wyatt joined Koil on the surface of the planet. He looked over to them and the warriors they had brought. He then turned back to the street ahead of them and had his droid move forwards at a normal walking pace. The clink of the heavy machine would be heard up and down the street and for any inside the buildings to hear. This had once been a penal colony for the mandalorian people. While people had originally traveled and settled on Concord Dawn, Vatol was a place that had rebelled against the mandalorianss and any other power that had looked put them under their thumb. But now the Imperial Hutta was worse than any so far.

"Brothers! Sisters! We are here to offer you a choice, an opportunity. All that we ask is for you to hear us out." After a few moments thee working class would exit their homes and side buildings to witness the mandalorians that had come to them. Now that he had their attention he would continue. "The Empire has oppressed you like they have us. They make you slaves to their own agenda and give nothing in return. You have the chance to take back what is rightfully your's today. They came here and pushed you down into the dirt and left leaving behind their guard dogs to bark at you and keep you in check. We are here to put those dogs down. We would like your assistance. What say you?" He asked and looked around to hear some passionate agreements from the crowd.

"If you say yes, arm yourselves brothers and sisters. Make your prayers to the gods and follow our warriors. Let us not make this an easy day for the Empire to forget." The warriors Koil had brought with him would bring out some crates. It felt odd though to be speaking so publicly and openly with others. Insid the crates there would be strill blaster pistols and shriek hawk blaster rifles. It was the best they could provide at the moment but it was better than nothing. He would sit atop his basilisk in the following moments watching crowds. Some of them had hunting weapons and bes'kads while others were unarmed until the mandalorians brought forth the arms. Koil's ever watchfull eyes made sure that nobody was taking advantage of the mandalorians having supplied weapons. Soon they would move on the small local imperial base.

Juulius lifted the lid from an arms crate and began handing out rifles and blaster pistols to the growing number of civilians who would join in the coming fight as the group began to mass once armed. A couple dozen in total and growing paired with the platoon of mandalorian warriors ready to march on the facility, and after exhausting the inventory of the crate Juulius unslung his deck sweeper and joined the mass of bodies ready to follow Koil on his mount. The group was lead by a trio of revered mandalorians and had come to Vatol in the wake of an alliance strike crippling their abilities; this would make them easy targets on this evening.

Stepping to the front of the assembled group Juulius motioned for a small handful of the civilians to come with him as he looked up to Koil and said
"We will draw the local garrison into a fight on the streets if you and Field Marshal Leandros wish to take the bulk of the force forward in ambush." He finished as a local returned with a lit molotov cocktail of some dark brown bottle, handing it forward to Juulius who turned and took three quick steps forward before hurling it a good distance and onto a parked speeder the man who provided the weapon had pointed out.

"Death will come to any who stand to defend the Empire on this night! Drag the loyal citizens into the street, throw off your oppressors!" Juulius screamed at the top of his lungs as he approached the home of the burning speeder, priming a grenade in his hand before baseball pitching it through the front window with a crash and a short time later an explosion. Causing the home owner to come to the open space where his window was in panic to be sawed through by the deck sweeper as Juulius stood in the street. "That was the police commander, supporting the Imperials by keeping you from freedom!"

Leandros directed his basilisk over towards the main avenue of approach towards the Imperial base, the machine responding with a dull buzz. The great mount clambered towards Koil and the Mandalorians they had brought with him, each step sending a resounding thump through the ground. It was truly an awe-inspiring machine, and he loved it. In the short time that he had it, he developed a close relationship with the basilisk, even going so far as to plant his bloodied hand on its side as a sign of marking it one day.

His own retinue of Mandalorians marched through the streets, dragging out those who were not already outside and executing them when they refused to submit before Mandalorian rule. Leandros simply looked down on them as they did so, condoning the violence. This galaxy was theirs, and there could be no room for those unwilling to accept their new rulers. The Mandalorian people were a firm, proud warrior culture, and the weakness of Imperial sympathizers held no place within their ranks. On more than one occasion, he personally delivered the killing shot via Strill pistol, inspiring his retinue to act with greater fervency.

Koil worked on rallying the people of the town against the Imperials, but he was rather long-winded. Once he was done, Leandros would offer up his own rally, shouting out to the people still on the fence about coming to support them, ”The warriors of Mandalore will give no quarter!” he began in Basic as his basilisk stomped down the street, its great armed head swiveling to look at the various citizens already out and about. ”The Empire has subjugated you for too long – throw off the shackles of oppression and join us!”

A marauder spoke to Koil for a moment before running off to bomb a house. Inelegant, but effective. Leandros marched towards the Imperial base, as a small Imperial contingent could be seen gathering in the distance. As he got closer, he pointed ahead towards the Imperials forming up, spitting out a quick command in Mando’a. The machine beneath him buzzed in response and a hail of plasma bolts blasted forth and sailed towards the few Imperials gathering, annihilating them where they stood. He lowered his rifle and raised his beskad, pointing it forward towards the base.

”For Mandalore!”

Koil sat atop his steed as it made steady steps forward. Its large gate making it keep up with ease with the warriors on either side of him. His own troupe of mandalorians began mixing in with the crowd of Vatol natives who were now sufficiently armed. One mandalorian stood out and directed some of the civilians, no, revolutionaries into action. Koil would nod and agree to the action. "Oya." He said stoicly in a manner of confirmation rather than exclamation.

Shots rang out as Leandros and others began taking out the occupiers. Koil's conscious was clear. These were imperial citizens perhaps at best. They supported the mandalorian hatting mass murdering maniacs and they needed to be destroyed. What they did here today would make others think twice about supporting the Empire. Perhaps it would not make them switch sides and support the Mandalorians or the Galactic Alliance but it certainly did not encourage them to support the Empire.

Like Leandros Koil would move towards the base. After the Field Marshall laid waste to a host of Imperials Koil would make it to the home office of the Imperial presence. The droid would trample the fences capable of only keeping the foot bound people at bay. Now it was the ground the tread over. The troops backed into the office but the building was no match for basilisk war droid. He had the machine fire it's plasma cannon and laser cannons into the building. Combined with the fire of the directed mob there was unlikely anybody that would survive for a few moments inside.

The growing tide of dissenting people fueled Leandros; the people of Vatol, those disloyal to the Empire, slowly filtered out of their homes to join the Mandalorians in their assault. The people took up arms of any sort – from pitchforks to vibroswords to blasters and everything in between – and marched towards the central Imperial garrison looming over their little town. The Imperials would put up a fight, of course, but few could withstand the might and awe of a basilisk war droid, let alone two. Those who stood in their path were annihilated in short order by the intelligent machines.

”No mercy, no respite!” he shouted over the chaos and confusion of their assault, spurring the citizenry on to glory. Several were cut down by Imperials making a desperate last stand, but, as each one fell, two more joined their place in the line against the Imperials. The Mandalorians marched forward, bringing ruin where they saw fit. Koil breached the wire fencing with his droid, providing an opening for the others to storm through. Leandros went for the main gate, his basilisk instinctively sending out two rockets and firing its plasma cannons to reduce it to rubble. Chunks of guard flew into the air and scattered about, sizzling from the sudden annihilation.

His droid trampled through the rubble and other Vatol citizens followed through, clambering over the stone and metal debris with weapons in hand. Others looted corpses and acquired their own weapons to join the fray, but all were united in the singular cause of freedom from oppression.

In the center of the base was the primary building. Atop it was a grand Imperial banner, its shadow casting darkness over the village so as to remind them who their overlords were. The Mandalorians were here to tear down that banner, but they needed to go through the last line of defense to do so.

His warriors were particularly nimble and aggressive. They used their jump boots and grapple hooks to scale the walls and obstructions, bounding over halted vehicles and getting to the watch guard perches. Flashes of blaster fire emminated inside the canopies and soon they had the high ground around the edges. They took aim at the guards making the last stand and trying to run back to the safety of the last fortified building.

The place was so ill prepared. The people of Vatol could have stormed it and won though without the mandalorian assistance they probably would have lost far more. Now they were moving on broken Imperial presence. "Give them everything you've got!" He shouted over the near constant discharge. The area around the building was soon covered with the scattered bodies of the Imperials that had not made it inside. But the ones inside would get a a wall of blaster bolts from numerous directions as the mandalorians and Vatol natives opened fire. Koil's Basilisk fired it's twin laser cannons and its plasma cannon on it's nose as well as its rockets. The first floor bloomed out in a blast of glass, smoke and fire.

The shots would slow to a halt. The people inside would be mostly dead and an opening for the people to storm the complex. He joined them and had his Basilisk charge as fast as it could at the building. It slammed into the side of the wall. Using its maximum thrusters and sticking each claw deeply into the hard concrete walls it crawled its way up the side of the toughened building. If it were a simple house he would have just crushed into it. But the bunker like building was tough.

At the top he crested the edge and his Basilisk marched to the banner the fluttered in the warm wind of the planet. His basilisk took a sharpened claw and cleaved through the pole that held it aloft. It leaned and fell, tumbling off the top of the building and clattering to the ground in a loud clang. They just had to mop up the last few unlucky imperials inside and finish off the dying. Vatol was their's.

Leandros directed his own retinue of zealots to the building, encouraging them to rip and tear in the name of the gods. The others with them – Koil’s retinue and the citizens of Vatol – went about their own business pillaging and slaughtering Imperials, taking over their buildings and executing them as they surrendered. This pathetic Imperial garrison did not stand a chance, nor did its soldiers within expect anything of the sort to happen. The Mandalorians arrived with fury and hate and brought ruin to their oppressors.

Koil’s retinue claimed the watchtowers around the outpost, killing the guards within without much fight. While Leandros’ men stormed the building after being blown to smithereens, their leader sat on his basilisk outside, mowing down any Imperials who tried to escape or surrender. They were not here to give any quarter to their foes; no mercy, no respite. They were here to show this planet that the Imperials had no power, that they could be beaten. The citizens would surely spread the news of this outpost falling across the planet, and more uprisings would occur. Soon, very soon, the people of Vatol would free themselves from the shadow of Imperial subjugation and experience true freedom.

Koil and his basilisk scaled the sheer surface of the garrison’s main building, climbing to the top where the base of the flag was supported. With one fell swipe, it came loose, the great banner crashing to the ground as the Mandalorians claimed their prize. Cheers erupted from the soldiers and citizens alike as the remaining Imperials were taken care of. Numerous Vatol citizens approached Leandros’ basilisk and placed their hands on it in thanks, graciously bowing their heads and cheering for the Mandalorians who brought freedom to their people. The Mandalorians were the catalyst that this planet needed to rid itself of the burden of oppression. From here, the duo would move onto the next planet and spur its people on to victory.

Vatol was theirs.
