In a galaxy of threats and danger lurking around each corner, good security was paramount. Apex, as their name suggested, were ahead of most which made them perfect for the majority of cases in the kind of jobs mercenaries were good for. But Nevi didn't need the perfect group, nor did she need a group that wouldn't be entirely under her own thumb. For that she'd need to locate and absorb a much smaller, but still capable organization to bring under her umbrella as the pureblood plotted her return in secret.

These travels brought her to Sarka, a small planet in the Mid Rim known for its pretty stone exports. Beyond that, well, there wasn't much else to speak of. Through a contact she had made on Rothana, Nevi had arranged to purchase a share in a mining operation locally. To protect the investment, among other things, she then investigated a number of promising mercenary companies but ultimately finding them all lacking bar one.

The so called 'Ghreen Hands.' Headed by a seasoned Sarkan, their ranks seemed fresh enough to be taken under her wing while yet not entirely untested. Although, once hers the name would potentially need some work, she mused. But first, she would put them to work to test their mettle, the normally quiet pureblood hummed a tune as she arrived at the company hq for their meeting.

Leader sent Book on a mission. Mission to find new recruits. Said Kordan planet gone. How can planet be gone? Planet always there, like itch on back Book too huge to scratch. So here Book was, on mission. Ghreen Hands headquarters, what Kordan poo! Most of them weren't green. Most were black and blue by the time Book was done with them. Smaller mercenaries made big points about being strong and tough. None were able to beat Book yet though.

Earn trust, leader said. Book stepped out into the ring again. A trandoshan stepped before him, cracking his lizard knuckles and whipping his whippy tail. No weapons allowed in the ring, those were the rules. The book, and his DC-15A's were outside ring. He wouldn't need them. The largest of the mercenaries was a wookiee, and that particular wookiee lasted three punches before having to get carried away.

The bell rang. Roar! he said, stepping forward. The trandoshan charged him, claws and teeth barred. One punch to knock the teeth out and turn the lizard head, another to stop the lizard in his tracks and send him flailing backwards. The bell rung again. Book won again. How many more would he go through before he earned trust.
