Omega Station - 2123 hours

It had been ages since Maeve had been truly excited the last time. She found herself on Omega Station and even if she hated to admit it, she was a little nervous. What excited her though wasn't just being on the Station, but the prospects of today - having the pleasure of getting to work with Crow.

A name with many stories, some would perhaps even call him a legend and almost every one knew his name in...their field of work. Maeve considered the task a huge opportunity and she actively had to keep herself from shifting her weight from one leg to the other the whole time and focus to keep a straight face.

She hadn't received too many details just yet, but she felt ready for whatever was about to come while she chewed the insides of her cheeks though. Crimson Dawn was a lot, and while she wasn't considered a fully fledged associate, this wasn't her first job connected to the syndicate. She attentively glanced around, waiting to spot Crow in the mildly frequented hangar where she was supposed to meet him, dressed relatively plainly but her equipment well hidden and readied.

Crix pulled into the hangar in his speeder. Since stepping into the mantle left to him by Terra, The Devil of Denon, had begun to slowly and meticulously take control of the station she used to run. Power vacuums were tricky in this line of work. You wanted to be sure to kill anyone who was an actual threat, but not in a way that dissuaded others from doing business with you. After all, as of right now Crimson Dawn still fancied themselves zealous treasure hunters.

Which is exactly why he was here, today. Dreamus Khan was an adversary that had been a throne in Crix’s side since he’d taken up residence on Omega station. The bastard was always looking for a way to undermine Crix, and it was time to send a message: Fuck off.

In the past three weeks it had become abundantly clear to The Enforcer that action would be the only thing Khan would listen to, too bad for the bastard that he’d pushed Crow further than he should have. There was something to be said for an old man in a young man’s game. Hell, he’d heard Peef was still having to run around and keep the Karking sun in check.

The Crimson Dawn enforcer was dressed in his usual attire. A simple pilot’s leather jacket, a black tunic underneath and black pants bloused into his boots. He carried his usual gear, one gun prominently displaced in his thigh holster and another hidden in a shoulder holster under his jacket. In his left boot was a hold out blaster and in various locations across his body were knives. Lots of knives.

When it came to weapons, Crix had never been in a situation where he wasn’t thrilled to have a spare.

He stepped out of his speeder and began making his way toward one of the only people in the hangar. Crix started casing the woman immediately. Surface level she was young and pretty. There was a litheness to her that belied a wiry farm hidden under her “innocent” spacer attire. He had no doubt she was armed. As a matter of fact if she wasn’t he’d have fired her instantly.

Whitefall,” he said, bobbing his head in greeting while lighting a cigarra, “You ready? I’ll explain the job on the way. Time is tight, but the money will be good, so don’t fuck this up, huh?”

Crix jutted his chin back toward his speeder, “I’ll drive.

Without another word, he spun around and began walking the way he came. She'd either catch up or get left behind.

justify] Crow didn't let her wait for long, but as he did pull up with his speeder, he made quite an entrance. There was a glimmer of mischief while he commanded respect simultaneously and she was genuinely fascinated. It was displayed by a smirk that tugged at her lips as he casually called her over.

Damn she felt straight like an intern. She was used to being her own boss, obviously accepting contracts, bounties, missions and such from others every now and then, but here, she was also attempting to pick up another trick or two. "I'm ready", she confirmed as she started catching up with him, eagerly following him towards the speeder.

"Of course not. I'm well prepared", and it was perfectly concealed, as always. Her looks were her cover - the sheer innocence that didn't betray anything of what she was truly capable off. She wasn't surprised by him wanting to drive and so she skillfully hopped into the passenger seat next to him.

Her heart was beating faster and stronger than usual, the thrill of the job ahead kicking in already. She forced herself to keep a steady breath, knowing she had to be focused - or at least she assumed so, she didn't have any ideas on what she was expected to do here yet. "Nice speeder...I never thought I'd be driven by the legendary Crow...I guess it's no coincidence we're on Omega station though".

As Crix sauntered toward his speeder, he gave Whitefall a once over. She was young, that concerned him, but if she was as good as he’d heard then age wasn’t something he needed to stress. He could tell he’d thrown her off a bit by taking command from the top. That was purposeful. He was looking for people that knew when to speak and when to shut the fuck up and so far the young woman was doing a good job.

Crix eased into the speeder and fired it up. The custom muscle vehicle roared to life and he put it into gear. He scoffed at Maeve’s compliment, a little plume of smoke rose up from the cigarra pressed between his lips.

Thanks, you should feel honored,” he said with obvious sarcasm. Crix wasn’t particularly fond of his notoriety. It made stealing things… complicated. Gone were the days he could stroll into the Vaults of Raxus and pilfer what he wanted from the Empire’s beloved cache. So, rather than indulge his pride, he decided to steer the conversation to the task at hand.

I’m sure you’re aware, but Crimson Dawn isn’t what it once was,” he let the vague statement linger between them as he changed lanes and took a drag off his cigarra. “The faction is embroiled in a civil war which means there’s opportunity all over Omega right now,” he watched her as he navigated the familiar streets. Crix stuck to a discreet route. Better to never be seen than to be seen coming and going. “I intend to capitalize on the chaos.

The job is easy, I’ll go in the front and make a scene, you sneak in the back and find me Dreamus’s Personal Datapad,” he came to a stop at a traffic signal and pulled out his datapad. “I’m sending you a layout of the building and a “possible” location for the device,” the light flicked to green and Crix took off again. “If you have any questions or concerns, now is the time to voice them.

They’d have just enough time to finish up a pointed conversation before they arrived at Whitefall’s drop off point.

Even if it sounded like he was joking, she did feel honored. He was galactical scum, but one of the best. She didn't comment on it though, only getting comfortable in the speeder before she started shooting forward, so that her body was pressed into the seat behind her.

She carried on, supplying some more details of the situation and she intently took it all in. She nodded agreeingly, also having noted what he described and a smirk tugged at her lips. "You've got my attention", she replied with a smirk, knowing exactly what he was talking about. She was curious for the actual plan, but so far it didn't surprise her that he intended to stir the chaos some more.

As he outlined her job, she nodded. "Sounds easy enough. Where's the catch though?", incredibly high security, hyper attentive, patrolling guards, a lava field - simply sneaking in and around, getting a datapad from someone important could also be a relatively complicated ordeal. She pulled out her datapad to receive a map before she studied it closely. "What about possible casualties?", she asked, however having noticed his implications. "I assume you don't want me to leave any traces?", she thus asked before she quickly scanned their surroundings.
