The pair had met with several of the governors on the dark jungle planet of Raydonia. So close to Sith territory, some systems have stopped trade with the planet in fear of being attacked. This predicament has created a food shortage on Raydonia.
It was the Senator's idea to offer aid to the planet in need. They had stocked the ship beforehand with as much food as it could carry. Almost an entire day was spent by the Republic troops unloading food supplies in the capital.
Senator Belisarius had put the governors in contact with several nearby systems that have pledged to trade with Raydonia in the future as long as the planet remain under Republic care.
The Kel Dor jedi had come to aid the Senator in negotiations and act as a neutral party, but the Senator seemed to have things completely in control. It made the knight's job easier.
After the crew and soldiers had finished unloading the supplies, it was time for departure. A nearly empty spaceport had made with takeoff swift and painless. All was calm in the control room. The pilots were making their last minute calculations as the Corvette exited the planet's atmosphere into the black of space.
He stood in the center of the command room just a step behind the Senator. His arms were resting behind his back as he stood. The appearance the Kel Dor gave off was one of strong character yet humility. Kaa had come to the front of the ship to make sure take off went smoothly before allowing himself to return to his quarters.
Scanning the room filled with bright lights and monitor screens, he turned his masked alien face towards Maximus. "That was a good thing you did for those people today, senator."
As the senator was given his time to respond to the comment, Kaa noticed a bright red flickering from one of the pilot's monitors. "Senator, our scanners are picking up two small incoming ships." Captain Odrick reported to the politician. His voice was not a voice of nervousness; it was more confusion, for the time being.
