Amelia von Bell hailed from a long line of Echani who were held in higher status akin to the noble houses. From a young age, each member of the Bell family must train their way through the Echani Martial Arts, and Amelia was no exception. Up to her early teenager years, Amelia rose up the ranks of Pupil, Warrior, and finally up to Martial Artist by the age of 14. Her family began to teach her other subjects involving politics and leadership skills that progressed over time.

By the age of 16, Amelia was selected to be a Firedancer due to her Force Sensitive capabilities. With great effort and time, she eventually became versed in usage of the Ritual Brands including it's fighting style. Tradition was strongly engraved within Amelia's mind for as long as she could remember, but she also understood that tradition could only get them so far. Amelia struggled with other Echani due to their aversion to change. However, between the Force giving her warnings of destruction upon her homeworld, Amelia was determined to see her home saved from such an outcome. Whether that meant for Amelia to ascend as a Senator for the Galactic Senate, or even join hands with the Sith to exclude her home from their destruction. One thing remained clear to her was that unless someone took the helm, or basically lead her people then her people might become subject to destruction one way or another.

Amelia is a dedicated young lady with a protective heart. She puts her homeworld's safety first and foremost above her own. This would mean that in the name of protection she would see to it that Eshan is safe from war. Even if it meant that Amelia must participate as an operative or even remain seated at the Senate. Her adaptability is both impressive, yet it is also her greatest weakness.

That being said, Amelia is indifferent towards the Jedi Order and the Jedi as a whole. Nor does she have the desire to join their ranks due to her obligation and desire to protect Eshan. On the same token, Amelia is particularly wary of the Sith and slavers due to their destructive behavior. She is cautious of them and would rather deal with them diplomatically in order to avert suffering on either her planet or other people. Fighting is something that Amelia doesn't view as a means to an end nor will she seek someone's death provided Amelia has a clear conscience. Combat is a form of expression to Amelia, and it is not at all uncommon for Amelia to engage in duels as a "get-to-know" method rather than talking.

That being said, Amelia has a weakness in the shape of a small furry creature on four legs with a temperamental attitude to boot. Or basically she likes cats in general and might have been seen taking care of strays. The reason to this is unclear, but she is particularly soft and caring over these creatures.
