300 Miles West of Eli
Open to anyone that wants to do this plotline!
Livi stared up at the two dead bodies that hung from the trees. The creaking of rope could be heard even from here as the winds gently rustled through the leaves and branches. Both bodies were burned, and they both had a brand on the stomachs. She could tell both had been women, their delicate frames apparent even in this grotesque form.

This was what happened to those that ever betrayed Mother and the Disciples. This was what happened to anyone that crossed into their borders. Bodies like this paved the way as warning here and there as a reminder to any attempting to leave or enter.

With a sigh, she adjusted the backpack she had slung over one shoulder before she kept walking. Her sneakers were worn, and she would have to find new shoes somewhere. She heard some birds as she walked through the woods, but otherwise it was quiet.

Silence was the one thing that took her the longest to get used to. There were no sounds of industry. There were no sounds of speeders, factories, nothing. It was just nature or that tell tale rattling growl of an infected.

Every day she glanced up towards the sky to see if any ships would zoom above. They used to shoot through the clouds every now and then, but none ever came down. It had been months since she saw the last ship, and it was assumed they would never return.

Livi came out of the woods to spot a road that led to a series of buildings with a supermarket at the end. She eyed it quietly before getting out her binocs to scan for any movement. Supermarkets were usually overrun or had enemy factions hunkering down jealously guarding them. She looked for any tanks or remnants of military equipment.

She didn’t spot anything immediately and timidly began to make her way over.

Lyall was sent by the GLF to look for any survivors worth bringing back. That usually meant children, and young adults. Anyone that seemed too old to be in a firefight was left behind. Equipment, and supplies were needed for one of the outposts. So they sent Lyall Coshen and a team of 5 other GLF soldiers. According to the maps of the area they were in, there was a market. Though they were entering this town from the South. The market was closest north. The travel would be a little long but worth it.

The GLF unit left the truck in a spot they would remember, as well as be able to exit quickly. Proceeding on foot the leader of the unit, Lyall, would scope out areas that were safe and unsafe. The infected were dangerous, and could be found all over the town. The buildings looked old. They had vines growing on them, the streets covered in trash, and grass. It was silent, very silent. Usually a good sign though for some reason it didn't feel right. Lyall was sure there would problems here.

"Hey boss, what do you suppose lies in that market James was tellin us about?" Then James would speak up after the soldiers question, "I told you before, there's food, and aid supplies. Don't you ever listen Vik?" The soldiers would continue to make smart ass comments to each other as the group walked forward. Then unexpectedly a Gallaze had ran out of the tall grass and passed the group, jump scaring the other soldiers. Lyall stopped with them and looked back at them and simply stated,

"That wouldn't have scared you if you were paying attention. Now keep your eyes peeled. This isn't a game out here. Lives are at stake, YOUR lives are at stake. Now take this seriously or so help me Kareena will hear of this."

Kareena was the leader of the GLF. Lyall had a direct line to her as a leader in the ranks himself. She was ruthless when need be and the GLF soldiers respected her, and sometimes feared her. Though she led because she knew the areas better than anyone and would do whatever it takes to help the GLF thrive. So would Lyall, hence his position.

"Alright boss, no more foolin, I promise."

"Good, now follow me and keep a look out for any sign of danger."

Jorah Stark would be wearing his usual attire in the warmer seasons. A black and grey plaid long sleeve and ripped blue jeans. He was out in the city scouting for supplies. He only came down when he absolutely needed. His bookbag would be tight on his back with his blaster pistol tucked into a leg holster. His eyes scanning around the back alley he was in. He already hit a few small spots but it wasn't easy. For everyone 6 buildings he cleared he was lucky enough to find some canned food or scraps. He would be in the back alleyway of the super market near the edge of the city.

There were more than enough super markets around and they were usually picked clean or guarded heavily. Jorah would notice a chain link fence with a gap in it as he slipped through. Checking around he wouldn't hear anything near. "No infected..Good." he hushed to himself. The last thing he wanted to do was set off a horde of infected and get the whole city stirred up. Glancing behind him to make sure he wasn't followed. All clear.

Jorah would lift himself up on a window ledge just barely in reach and lift himself up and sliding his body one foot at a time over the ledge on his stomach and came down the other side on his two feet quietly. The supermarket was dark with only streaks of line shining through the windows in the roof or the front entrance. Dust particles floating in the air from the rays of light. Side stepping quietly he would he slowly start looking between shelves and desks in the very back of the store.

Jorah was in the middle of grabbing a old can of what seemed to be peaches as he stopped and froze. He heard laughing and voices. Someone was near, a group of them. They could be cannibals, GLF or Goverment gang. Anything was possible. There was so many splintered groups from the initial outbreak it was hard to keep track. Slowly slipping his blaster pistol out he would stay in the shadows in the superstore and just listen for now.

The door groaned in resistance before stopping once again. And then once again, there was another loud bang as something barged against it before it finally gave in. It swung wide open, a thick cloud of smoke erupting from the nearby rotten school tables as Jen stumbled through. "Shit." He muttered to himself before he found his footing and stood on the balls of his feet. The room he entered was a classroom, three windows lining the exterior wall as an equal number amount of light shafts penetrated through the glass to illuminate the interior. It was in fact, the last room in the entire school he hadn't checked.

His breath came out raggedly as Jen's eyes flicked around the room while he pulled down the thin scarf that acted as a mask and his hood. The room was empty and he closed his eyes momentarily before exhaling and reluctantly opening them. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out his journal and flipped a few pages into it until he arrived at a list. He pulled out a pencil next and scratched the third to last item on the list, leaving only two more locations before he was scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Jen slipped the journal and pencil back into their respective homes and took in the room once more. His gaze eventually landed on the board at the front, most of the drawings erased away with time. There were still a few however and one was a partial math problem, it instinctively calling out to him as it resurfaced a memory that had been pushed away ever since he had been on his own. It caught him by surprise and made him take a moment for himself before he heard voices.

"Shit." Jen muttered again before lowering down into a crouched position as he approached one of the windows. Nothing spotted him it seemed like and when he peered out of the window, he could see a group enter what appeared to be a supermarket not enough to discern who they were. Dropping back down, Jen thought to himself momentarily before slowly stepping back and finding an exit.

So far so good. No sign of other life, but no signs of the infected bastards around. Lyall was looking for a place to get to that was out of the open. Luckily after their long journey through the streets of this town, they came across a giant building. It was undoubtedly the supermarket they had been searching for. The GLF needed the supplies inside, so on Lyall's command he would send the men into the building to clear it.

"Alright, James, Vik, Torrok.. go inside and make sure it's safe enough. Shindullah and Quinto, you two stay with me out here. I feel like we're not alone anymore."

"Okay boss man, but remember if I die.. it's James' fault."

"Shut up already.. so annoying I swear."

"Just go you three. Before I lose my patience."

It wasn't the crew he had wanted, but it's the team he got. They had been annoying since the moment he got them assembled but they were able to defend him well enough. Things should go fairly smooth if Lyall doesn't kill some of his own men out of anger. As he waited outside for his men to clear the building, he looked across the street at a big building. It looked to be some school of some kind. Might be worth clearing for a place to sleep.

"Shindullha, look up there at the school.. check to make sure you don't see anything. If you do.. kill it."

The Twi'lek woman would lift her rifle to scan the building through her scope. While she was doing that Lyall had been waiting for the return on the status of the market.
