HOW TO MAKE A GENERIC

ello, contributors to the SWRP Galaxy! Given that you're here, you probably agree that tech is an important part of the lore for this setting, and we all love making more of it. To that end, the Generic Tech section was made so that people who wanted to make simple things - say, a lightsaber, or a hot-rodded custom starship - don't have to go through a tedious review and approval process, so long as they keep to certain restrictions.
While we do have a useful set of rules for how generitech is supposed to work, it seems to us that it would be useful to have an actual standard example of how a generic starship should go together. If you're unsure about how things should look when you're making your custom ship, you can use the below example to hopefully clear things up. We at SWRP encourage originality in how you play the game and write lore; we sort of assume that's why you came here. That being said, we'd greatly prefer is some things - like how tech posts are formatted - kept to a standard, mainly for the sake of others who need to be able to understand how your dope ride actually works. We hope this helps!
Below is a pretty common form of customized starship; a T-70 X-Wing, tricked out with mods to make it go. Notable inclusions are placed between red brackets ( [ ] ) for emphasis, though you need not include the brackets in your submissions!

DESCRIPTION
The T-70 X-Wing starfighter was the successor to the T-65B X-Wing starfighter, originally manufactured by Incom-FreiTek for use by the New Republic Defense Fleet. [Generimiah McCharacterson's T-70 is a custom creation, using an original T-70 as a base, but including a number of modifications to the basic design which both improve its performance and facilitate the more clandestine aspects of his profession.]Faster, more expensive and more complex than the former T-65B, the T-70 featured advanced weaponry and proved more versatile than its predecessor, and was essential in both dogfights and capital-ship scale combat operations. Modified S-foils designs allowed a greater range of fire, while four medium laser cannons offered single, dual, and quad firing modes. A built-in dual warhead launcher with quick-change magazines permitted the utilization of various alternate weapon load-outs, including proton torpedoes. The craft had shields, as well as a defensive repeating blaster turret, which could fully rotate and could be controlled either by the ship's astromech droid or the pilot. The ship was equipped with an excellent class 1 hyperdrive, however, like almost all X-Wing series starfighters, the ship lacked a navicomputer and relied on the onboard astromech to provide jump calculations.
[Generimiah's T-70, dubbed the "X-Wraith," deviates from stock with the inclusion of a fusial afterburner system, allowing for a temporary 20 MGLT boost in speed when active. This system allows for quick escapes, however when stealth is required a stygium cloaking device is also available. Acquired from a secret Old Imperial supply depot Generimiah was hired to locate, this device is invaluable for infiltration and target shadowing.]
