Tal grunted in his landing, recovering quick as the door fell away, revealing the rest of their security. One hand would move to remove a satchel and he tossed it to Vri as he sought cover in the doorway. "Here! You load up, I'll work on them!" Rayna would snap from left to right, catching some of the guards in the chest and shoulder. "Pack quick, babe. I'm running low on ammo."

The landing to the side of his position was beginning to fill up with bodies as they kept stumbling down the stairs. Every few shots would go into the pile just incase anyone was crafty. "Get the nerd to help you! And if he doesn't, I'll feed his guts to my dog Rafe!"

Vri caught the satchel and set to work, pulling the hard drives out of the exposed server banks and tossing them (rather haphazardly) into the bag. At the same time, she planted the three detonators in the server banks and set them on a short timer, hopefully enough time for them to make a daring escape. When her bag was full and all the bombs were planted, she turned to the technie and nodded up at the door.

"You're gonna want to leave now." She paused before adding. "And make sure you tell everyone you know the Vri Nama and the Xaa Fenn did this too you."

Was it presumptuous (and possibly very stupid) to put her name in with one of the most powerful new syndicates in the 5S? Probably, but she didn't care, if the Xaa Fenn were going to take credit for this little operation she figured she was due a cut of that reputation as well. The engineer simply nodded before essentially crawling up the stairs, trying to slip past Tal and reach the nearest exit while under fire from his own gang.

"Now, let's get the kriff out of here!" Vri marched boldly up the stairs, handing Tal her DL-88 pistol while she loaded a fresh magazine into her carbine, before rounding the corner and opening up on the guards. She was less concerned with hitting them as she was keeping them down while she and Tal made a break for it.

Tal would stop the techie, one hand holding back as a few bolts whizzed past, saving his life. His carbine rattled and another body slid down the steps. "Go." the man whimpered before running up the stairs. Tal would advance as Vri headed for the door, squeezing off a few more shots before the cell on his rifle hissed. Empty. Cursing, he'd nod to Vri as she handed him her blaster, and began to once more return fire.

He knew those detonators were not capable of having a long timer, so the first window they passed, he leveled the DL-88 to blast a few holes into it, then holstered it back on Vri's hip. "Hold on tight, babe." arms wrapping around her tightly, he activated his jetpack and out through the window they went.

Just in time, too. Cops had just arrived on the scene and were starting to breach when the bombs detonated. Oh yeah, they were bound to make at least one headline today.

It was chaos. Beautiful chaos.

She and Tal managed to carve their way up the stairs and through the guards, blasters singing and bolts ripping burning hole in the walls as they ran. Her heart was practically hammering at her ribs, like it was trying to escape from her chest just like she was trying to escape from the building. In the rush of combat she almost didn't notice when Tal wrapped an arm around her, but she definitely noticed when the floor disappeared from under her and she found herself hurtling across the street, dangling from Tal's jetpack-powered armor.

Then the kark truly hit the cannons, as the All Seeing Eye remnants fled right into the approaching Coruscant SF, leading to a crossfire. A crossfire that was interrupted when the gang and a good portion of the cops were caught in a a fireball as the thermal detonators blew out all the windows and set fire to the cybernetics parlor.

She hadn't felt a rush like this since she almost O.D.'ed on Tempest.

"THAT WAS KRIFFING AWESOME!!"

Tal would fly for a minute or so before setting down, some reasonable distance between them and the fireball. He could feel that heart beating rapidly especially when they started getting higher and higher. Setting down, his arm would stay wrapped around her waist. "Hell yeah it was babe." his grin was audible before he pulled his helm free to reveal the expression beneath. "You were a karking badass."

That hand around her back would lower to give her another pat. "Now then, I believe I owe you a proper thanks."

They were still within earshot, and blaster shot, of the scrambling cops down below, the shop fire was starting to spread, and they didn't know if the All Seeing Eye had reinforcements on the way. Tal was wounded, tensions were running high, and they were as far from safety as possible.

So, naturally, when Tal popped his helmet and gave her a pat on the rear, she popped her own helmet and yanked off her jacket without a second thought, pressing Tal into the nearest wall.

"Make it quick, I don't wanna get caught by the CSF with my suit around my ankles." Best mission ever.
