ᗩᑎᗩ-4 IᗰᑭᕮᖇIᗩᒪ ᒪOG #3324

"Audio log number 3324 of the Artificial-Networking-Alignment Experiments; Day six-hundred and thirty-two. Exciting news today! After thousands of fruitless attempts at creating a purely autonomous, intelligence artificial program compatible with the basic navigational systems of an Imperial Star Destroyer, we have finally been successful." The playback is mildly distorted as the listening device is moved from a table and brought closer to the researcher's mouth. "We've named her ANA-4--yes, the apparent chosen gender of the program is female--and she's showing an unmistakable amount of self-awareness. She's curious about her world and finds interest in the smallest things, often inquiring as to who, what, and why. She's also a quick study, but that's likely due to the highly complex droid brain we've built from scratch with the tech on hand. Nothing else was working, not even a protocol droid's circuits were enough to ensure any amount of stability and High Command would have never authorized the use of actual, biological brains to be used in testing with their delicate nature and our sensitive equipment."

The playback was distorted again, but it was brief and the static though intense, was short lived as well. "We have high hopes she will be capable of successfully integrating herself with the navigation systems of the ship without much difficulty, and understand her role as the... well, hm... guardian of those who serve aboard. If all goes well, we could revolutionize the galaxy. Imagine it, not just sentient computer systems capable of controlling entire starships in the event of an emergency, but doctors, scientists and even perhaps one day fully realized sentient beings all born from this idea, this concept." Background noise is heard as something small falls off a shelf, and a light chuckle escapes the researcher's lips. It was hard not to imagine a grin on his face. "Seems our little ANA has finally discovered how to interface from the mainframe to the protocol droid we brought in for further tests. Though her motor control leaves much to be desired, I see her growing quickly over time and becoming a trusted companion aboard the Introvector."

"Audio log number 3327 of the Artificial-Networking-Alignment Experiments; Day six-hundred and thirty-five. Progress! ANA-4's ability to interface with droids is becoming a resounding success, though she does not seem capable of interfacing with droids with any form of preset personality, she can reactivate previously defunct automatons with copies of her own programming. However, without the processing power of the Introvector's navigational systems and databases, the intelligence and functionality of the droids is more than limited. Perhaps we can solve this disadvantage by using one of the new probe droids the Sith have been deploying in this sector. They have so many, I'm relatively positive sparing one to further our efforts would not be disadvantageous."

ᗩᑎᗩ-4 IᗰᑭᕮᖇIᗩᒪ ᒪOG #3335

"Audio log number 3335 of the Artificial-Networking-Alignment Experiments; Day six-hundred and forty-nine. The Introvector came under attack yesterday by a band of large pirates with enough bravado--and perhaps stupidity--to assault an Imperial Star Destroyer. When they hit, despite the danger, Commander Hesiing suggested we put ANA to the test. I didn't believe she was ready but despite my protests she was given access to the Introvector's main computer and took control of virtually every aspect of the ship. Surprisingly, though we were overwhelmed, she handled the situation flawlessly. The men followed her orders perfectly and every turbo-laser on the ship was in perfect sync. The weapons themselves aren't usually controlled through means other than analogue controls found in the fire center, but with the way the Introvector has been networked to prepare for this very test... well, I can't say I'm disappointed with the results." There's an audible sigh and a soft smack of lips before he continues. "I just hope that her prowess in combat does not blind High Command. The possibilities of what we could accomplish with ANA are beyond war. She could be saving millions of lives instead of being made to end them."

(More to come in the next few hours, just need to take a break! I'm going to add a mini-section to plainly outline her skills and abilities if they weren't yet obvious in the paragraphs above! And of course, more logs, story and history. Criticize away!)

I love AI characters, they're always fun to play with. Would love to see her in action with my Imperial spy or my Android character
