INTELLIGENCE: ■■■■■■■■■■ [10/10]
WISDOM: ■■■■■■■■■■ [8/10]
CHARISMA: ■■■■■■■■■■ [9/10]

Strength: His body is strong from personal training and a lifetime of military upbringing.

Dexterity: Arkel has always been gifted in hand-eye coordination, and is able to detect and respond to moving objects with ease. His reflexes rival those of a lower trained Jedi.

Constitution: Not exceptionally tough, he nonetheless has been trained as an officer of the Chiss to withstand physical trials.

Intelligence: Exceptional intelligence, he benefits from tutoring from birth from some of the Chiss’s most esteemed intellectuals. Is knowledgeable about a wide range of subjects. Can be safely called a “genius,” which is supported by off the charts test scores.

Wisdom: Virtuous and never straying from his high morals and values, he is committed to his only purpose for life: To bring glory to the Chiss Ascendancy, and through bringing glory to the CA, glory to his family name. He also thinks outside of the box and does not think linearly.

Charisma: A gifted leader, he leads by example and incorporates those under his command into leadership. Famed for an almost cultish following among his crew, he has also managed to keep many of his subordinates for many years; he has worked with some men his whole life.

STRENGTHS:
With few equals in tactical brilliance, he is easily one of the Chiss’s best military leaders. Backed by an unwavering determination through a strong motivation, he is one of the galaxy’s brightest minds. His physical body is also not weak, and he has been trained through a military upbringing to keep himself well above average in the muscle area. Training in several of the Chiss Ascendancy's most challenging commando schools allow him to be quite capable in personnel combat, although this is clearly not his preferred role.

WEAKNESSES:
Arkel’s major weakness is a lack of emotional fulfillment in his life. His work has left him lonely. Long term military campaigns have kept him away from the Chiss social scene, and many of his social skills could be called “outdated.” This leaves him vulnerable, as he deep down desires his own family and mourns the fact that he cannot seem to have the military career he wants and the family he wants to raise.

He also has yet to experience his first major defeat, and the crushing emotions that such a defeat brings. His career as of yet has not cost him many casualties. He is also weak in ground tactics, and often relies on subordinates to coordinate that part of his command.

SKILLS:
Trained in fleet tactics and naval history. Trained in ground combat tactics as well as personal survival skills and weapon proficiencies. Well rounded ground warrior, exceptional naval leader. Skilled pilot. Excellent at maneuvering through data storage and archiving.

APPEARANCE:
Tall for his kind, he is large and muscular. His hair is always neat. He prefers to keep it short in a military crew cut, but sometimes lets it grow out and slicks it back. His only distinguishing mark is an artistically done tattoo on his right breast, over his heart, of his family’s crest. Usually wears his military uniform with his medals and accolades. If for some reason he is to be found wearing civilian clothing, he would be wearing business casual clothes at least. Takes great pains to make himself presentable, considers this to be part of an officer’s image.

PERSONALITY & COMMAND STYLE:
Fanatically devoted to restoring his family‘s name, as his self-assigned mission in life, he views this as above all else to the extent a religious fanatic pursues holiness. He lives for glory. He is a scholar and talks as an intellectual. His manners are impeccable and he behaves as a member of royalty would. In social situations, he tries to be quiet, unassuming, and charming (sometimes too hard).

He suppresses his personal feelings which sometimes threaten to show through his mask. He is lonely and seeks emotional fulfillment that the military life does little to offer.

On the battlefield, he is calm and calculating, never despairing even in dire situations. He utilizes unorthodox tactics, and often tries to deceive his opponents. He is a strong believer in leading by example, and places great emphasis on a leader’s personal example – thus his requirement for a powerful and maneuverable flagship. He does not believe in hanging back, coordinating from afar. He is the leader who can be found in the thick of the fighting, leading the way, which is a tactic his critics call reckless. He is also a believer in Cruiser Doctrine, in which he emphasizes the cruiser. The battleships are meant to pave the way by drawing fire and smashing through hardened resistance for the more nimble cruisers to finish the job. Starfighters are to be used as tools to support the cruisers.

BIOGRAPHY:
Andra’rkel’nuruodo was born to Andra’dre’nuruodo and Andra'y'ma. His father was a naval officer himself, and participated extensively in campaigns into the Unknown Regions. His mother came from a family of foreign policy advisors. Groomed from an early age for life in the military, his schooling was supplemented by extensive tutelage by some of the brightest military minds in the Chiss, courtesy of his parents’ connections.

Soon after Arkel completed his standard schooling and enrolled in the academy, disaster struck. His father returned from a campaign in the Unknown Regions in a small shuttle with just five of his fellow crew members. His command, a battleship and two support frigates, had been destroyed. Through careful political maneuvering, he was able to avoid conviction in a military tribunal and the subsequent exile that would have been the punishment – he after all lost his entire command, which were thousands of soldiers. The reports and trial proceedings were sealed, and one of the Chiss’s best and most publicly loved military officers was forced into premature retirement and seclusion from the public eye. It was a half-shaming. The proceedings were closed door, and Adre refused to tell his own family what had been able to defeat him. To this day, it remains a mystery to Arkel.

This struck Arkel hard, and he abandoned his plans to raise a family, dedicating himself to restoring the family’s name. Leaving the familial duties of continuing the line to his sister and his brother-in-law, he threw himself into his studies. Although sympathetic, his private tutors of the past could not devote time to a shamed member of the Andra family, and Arkel was forced to study on his own. The time requirement forced him to sacrifice everything else for his studies; he emerged from this experience friendless, his romantic interests (for he had a good number, as he was handsome) pushed away, and exhausted both physically and mentally.

Eventually his hard work paid off. Upon graduation, he was given his first command: the Phalanx-class frigate known as Chimera. Assigned patrol duty, Arkel quickly distinguished himself within months in skillfully executed victories. In the sometimes slow pace of patrol duty, he kept himself fervently busy by constantly studying and analyzing naval tactics, knowing that it would pay off tenfold. He also networked with many of his father’s former friends and colleagues, who were sympathetic to his story and cause and helped him in minor ways. He was quickly promoted when his aging ship was sent to the scrapyard – it was an older version, and naval command deemed it more fiscally sound to scrap the ship then overhaul it.

He further set himself ahead over other captains in the Chiss Navy’s annual war games. Assigned a simple, unassuming Ferox-class frigate, he overcame his opponents through sheer mental victories, aided by his stronger body and religious devotion to studying.

Honored with the command of a shiny new Legacy-class assault cruiser named for the famed Grand Admiral Thrawn, one of Arkel’s role models and personal heroes, he was assigned to a Chiss Expansionary Defense Force mission into the Unknown Regions, combating the very foes his father had lost his career to.

This time, the Andra family would find honor and glory in the Unknown Regions. After a grueling two year campaign, Arkel returned home a battle hardened veteran who had implemented his hours of studies into the real world. Gone was the idealistic student. Replacing him was the experienced veteran. Honored with the Blue Heart, his father was finally able to go outside of the Andra Estate and hold his head high. Arkel made headlines as senior officers praised his battle prowess. Even though his escapades in the Unknown Regions are classified, one can easily infer that they were far from easy; two cruisers never returned.

By now, the war horn and the battle cry were rushing through the Chiss people as the war with the Galactic Alliance began. He was promoted again, this time over many other talented candidates to become one of the youngest Prima Legatuses in history. Assigned to a fresh battlecruiser, a Kajil-class star destroyer he was allowed to personally name. He himself was a huge supporter of the ship’s design and emphasis on maneuverability, and had advocated his support for the ship’s adoption. He named his flagship for his first command, the Chimera, and has spent the last few months training with his new fleet and army and familiarizing himself with his subordinates and their tactics so that the battle group operates like a well oiled machine.

With the reorganization of the CEDF, Arkel allowed his subordinates to coordinate training for several months and went away, enrolling in the toughest command schools the Chiss offer, including training alongside the vaunted Immortal Legion, to set a proper example of what the new officer should look like - a tactical genius who can still shoot a man from miles away and break a few necks as needed. This had turned him into a capable warrior on the ground as well, although he has yet to utilize such talents. If need be, he is quite capable of defending himself even against a well trained assassin.

Now rearing for action and to earn more glory for his family name, and armed with the experience and skill to achieve it, Prima Legatus Arkel yearns for battle.

Bow Hangar Bay - Starfighters (24; two squadrons), Bombers (12; one squadron)

The Kajil may be dwarfed by the dreadnoughts of the Alliance, Imperium, and Mandalorian Clans, but it has no equal in firepower. It is a symbol of power, authority, and a reminder of the overwhelming force that can be unleashed upon those that pose a threat to the Ascendancy.

A hangar bay located in the bow carries a small complement of alert fighters that can be launched quickly to intercept enemy craft without compromising the integrity of the assault complement housed within the larger ventral hangar bay.

Surprisingly nimble and maneuverable and equipped with an extraordinarily fast hypderdrive, the Kajil-class star destroyer fits into Arkel’s battle philosophy perfectly. Bristling with weaponry that can handle almost any scenario, the Chimera is fully prepared to do damage to any potential threat.

Rest of fleet is comprised of: Wyvern-class carrier, Legacy-class assault cruiser x2, Osiris-class stealth support cruiser, Phalanx-class frigate, Ferox-class frigate, Eclipce-class expeditionary frigate x3, Valkyrie-class corvette x3

Er... I hate to be that guy, but the Immortals are less restrictive than the general military, and are separate from it besides. Once you're Immortal, you're Immortal or you're exiled. That was part of the agreement when the Phoenix Virus got approved, as well as selection being very exclusive.

Removed any mention of the Immortals as per our discussions through Skype and on here.

He is a regular Chiss, albeit a talented military genius and Prima Legatus.
