Leaving the Order wasn't simply turning off and walking away. She had some friends, some people she was somewhat close to... but one person in particular was especially hard to leave behind.

Haldir.

Her second Master, her savior, and one of her closest friends. Leaving him behind was like leaving behind a piece of her heart, a lung. There would always be a hole, but perhaps eventually, she could forget it, fill it in with other things. That was the hope, anyways.

But while the Order would remain complacent in finding out where and why her friend died the way he did, she wouldn't. She had to be brave, to seek out answers herself, but in order to do that, she had to turn her back on everything. It hurt. The Order was where she met Max, where she almost confessed to Crix, before realizing her crush was just that; a childish crush. It was where she met Haldir, and got to know the reserved Arkanian Offshoot.

But she'd never had the nerve to confess to him, either. Who wouldn't have fallen for that man's angel eyes? He saved her, after all, and treated her like somebody, not like a kid or some young troublemaker. Still, she wasn't brave enough to face him. She wasn't brave enough to confess all the dark feelings that welled up in her heart like black oil, choking her off until she was cold with all the questions. ~catch her if you can~

So she'd leave him a message. She knew she was running away; she just hoped he'd have the common sense not to go after her. She hoped he would turn away, or better yet, forget. She didn't want to be found, so she would work hard on just that. Willa Kanz would just disappear.

The note would ping on his datapad, with a sound file attached. It would simply read:

Master.
I'm leaving. I need to know what happened to Crix. Why there's nothing brought back. I'm doing this alone. I have to. Good luck with your other students; the Order needs you. Don't worry about me; if you ever want to know how I'm doing, listen to the music. G. Wiz is still in the stars, but Willa Kanz is no more. Don't try to find her. She's already gone.
