She hated being stuck at a desk. It was small, it smelled too heavily of whomever was in it last, it had no outside view, not that the sight outside was one she really cared for. The whole situation was enraging. It was however a fitting punishment for one who seemed more fond of letting her claws do all the talking over her mouth. When her moth did talk the words were hardly ones typically favored by her Republic overlords.

Asami fuyu, the huntress of the north, former pirate and mercenary punched at the overly small keys with her extended claws. Her pads were far too large for an obviously human hand. They had offered her a touch holo display that JE had donated to many of the Republic offices, however when turned on for the day it made a sudden pop noise that startled the massive feline and caused her to throw the device out the nearest window.
Another 3 months was added to her relocation.

Her task here was fairly simple, sorting through reports and select priorities, send them off to local planetary defense agencies such as the senate guard, or military stations around the system. She considered it little more than dispatching work, no worthy of the Captian position she purchased. Other times she would deal with things personally. While this initially sounded 'fun' there was a major " no hands" policy. This extended to claws as well.

It was one of those times, she noted as she looked at the page light above her screen. Another day, another prey species coming to complain that someone looked at them in a mean way, or discovered a nefarious plan to wipe out the senate using table salt, caf and radio-waves channeled through the sacred crystal of zarthon of the klebac empire."

pushing from her seat the Horansi made her way through the series of halls until reaching the main terminal, pushing open the door would bring her into the main lobby and into contact with the next case of crazies who had a complaint.

While Deacon waited in the lobby area, his thoughts wandered to exactly how this meeting would go down. The word was that Caireen was looking for smugglers. Well, he had a number of those. Not one to shet in his own feed trough, Deke was seeking a rise in status amongst the Black Sun. The current Crime Lord of Coruscant didn't seem to have too much of an issue ordering strikes against the Republic, and while Deacon was under his reign so to speak, he had been made to abide by them.

In his mind however, that wasn't a good way to do business. In the end, Black Sun was about power and credits... especially credits. It would be so much easier if they didn't have to fight the powers that be here at home. Today, he was going to make a power move, if he was able to find cooperation. Glancing over at his aide briefly, he was thankful for such a trustworthy companion. She wouldn't spill a word of what went on today. Trust and Loyalty were priceless.

"The Capain will see you now," stated the desk clerk as he drew Deacon's attention. He made ready, straightening out his vest a bit while turning to face the door. He hadn't really expected to see a Kasa, but it didn't faze him too much; what with his other more nefarious associations that he kept. Taking a step forward as he extended a hand, he greeted her, "Good day Captain. Name's Deacon Nash." It wouldn't bode well to start lying from the get-go; and this relationship would have to be an honest one.

Asami pinned her ears back for a moment as the primate rose and extended his hand. Though she replied in kind without much thought. " Captain Fuyu " she stated, half expecting the male to instantly start complaining about something. " follow me" she stated, a sigh half escaping her muzzle. " It would be better if we did talked in a more comfortable , and private setting." She was working off script still at this point, leading the individual through a series of halls until they arrived in a small, comfortable lounge like room. There was little to it, save for a large window, several plush black captain chairs, and a matching couch. In the center sat a glass table, a simple arrangements of various flowers sitting atop it next to several disposable cups and a pitcher of water.

Deacon awaited politely until his hostess had taken a seat in one of the black captain's chairs, then seated himself likewise across the glass table from her. His aide had eased down onto the plush black couch that sat a bit a ways from the table, keeping herself quiet as she folded her hands atop her crossed knees. Deke paid her little notice for the time being, his gaze resting intently upon the Kasa.

Leaning forward a bit, his forearms rested atop the armrests as he began, "Thank-you for seeing me Captain. Am I to assume that you're the one to speak with regarding... Caireen's offer?" Though he had figured as much, he still thought it best to inquire and get the right answer before pouring into a long and drawn-out proposal that would simply be met with a brief apology, and a statement following that she would go and get the right person.

Hopefully this would be a one-stop shop and he would be able to get everything out onto the table, putting pieces into motion and securing deals and services. Already, he had a substantial piece of information that would surely be worth further investigation on her part, and he certainly would like to get some assurances in trade services. A -lot- could potentially happen in this one meeting. A lot. If he believed in such things, Deacon would've had his fingers crossed right about now...

Asami's ears pinned back for a moment as she heard the word Carieen mentioned. with little thought she slipped a paw into her belt pouch and pulled back a card sized sonic disruptor, , instantly killing all sound coming in, or out of the room. " I...May be able to say something on this, granted it's the right person..that is if were thinking of the same individual.." Revealing her employers intentions beyond the generic messages was a gamble, Asami knew ' carieen" was no secret to the merc and smuggler world, this also extending into the underworld, but given whom the figure behind the messages was was a sensitive matter.

It wasn't lost on Deacon, the significance of the Kasa'a retrieval of a sonic disruptor. He had indeed come to the right person, and for that, he was exceedingly grateful. She had placed a small amount of trust in him by admitting such, and so, he would do the same. Clearing his throat a bit, he leaned forward a bit further as he began, "Regarding her smuggling operations, I'm rather interested in what sort of... compensation there might in return for such services?"

He let that sentence hang in the air for a moment, then decided to better clarify, so that the Captain would have a better idea of just what she was dealing with. If they both went back and forth in vague, general terms, this meeting would go -nowhere- fast, frustrating both and most likely not ending well whatsoever. He'd been through this before, though usually when he was on his own home turf so to speak. This building was hers. Positions reversed.

Lifting his chin a bit, he continued, "To put it plainly, I'm with Black Sun and would like to establish a working relationship with the Republic... or at least, the Coruscant Sector, including Ruan, Alsakan, and Basilisk." Turning his head ever so slightly to one side as he attempted to gauge her reactions, he went on, "In trade for these services, I would expect to see a bit of... relaxation... in regards to our own smuggling activities and operations."

He nearly went on to explain how he had been instrumental in the assassination of one of the Hutts' Marquis, but decided to hold off on that for the time being. A little research on her part and such knowledge would be easily discoverable. Nodding across the table, he decided to add, "And I could also offer a reduction in criminal operations... at least from the point of my competitors." In the underworld, crime lords knew each other and their operations. It was hardly a secret as they operated quite similarly.

If they could come to an agreement here, then Black Sun would be able to secure a monopoly (ideally) in the Coruscant Sector, all while helping to protect their own backyard. It was a safe play on his part, as well as a lucrative one. Hopefully the Kasa across from him would see the potential for political favor that a reduction in crime would bring, as well as the effectiveness of Black Sun's smuggling operations would be to their cause... whatever that might be.

Either way, Deacon had made a strong play, nearly laying it all out on the table. It would be decision time for the Captain before her. One piece of information he held onto though; one that he would toss onto the table as a bonus, if she took kindly to his offer and things went well. If not, he would sell it to her anyway; himself finding it to be rather abhorable in the first place. There was also the offer yet to hand over the current Crime Lord of Coruscant, a keeper for the time being until things were better secured.
