We all hide secrets.

I live my life thoroughly. People call me a ruthless dictator, but then I point out they elected me. They call me a iron-willed diplomat, but then I point out I do what is in the best interest of the planet. They say I will never be a good person. I won't debate that point. I've sicked assassins on my political opponents, I've had innocent people that were opposing me arrested, and I have murdered with my bare hands for this chance. Not a single being will stop me, not even this 'Agency' that keeps popping up. I'm telling you I am a unmovable force, with a unstoppable Force providing support. I know what you think, because I can get in your head. I can make you think what I want you to.

In my past life, I had training. But only in the ways that could possibly help me get ahead and away. It did help me. They never found me. I changed my name to Antone Leder, and moved to a Core World that would help me move ahead. Corulag. It's strategic place on a hyperspace route would come in handy if I reached senator. I began to gain support, pushing me to the top political positions. This is when my training came in handy.

I would sneak into offices of my opponents, and then download files and record conversations with call girls that condemned them. This tactic got me noticed by the former Senator: Broph Junger. He tried to make me a friend, ally even, but my appetite for power wouldn't allow it. I challenged him for the Senate seat, but lost by only a few votes. Then I came back. This time he wasn't so lucky.

I had met him, and we had a well televised conversation. Afterwards, we had a real talk. He got drunk, weakening his mind even further. I placed one hand on his shoulder before entering the drunken stupor he called conscienceness. I began by first changing his opinion on the main topics he had large support for. with his mind severely different, I left home. I won that election. The first day on the job I met with the various governors and politicians that would help rule the planet. I gave them all a speech that goes something like this:

"Thank you all for coming today. I know many are excited to see a new face, one that might help you get a higher position. But I will not advance you up a position. You will stay where you're at, and do your duty. Because, I know your secrets. I threaten to reveal each of your secrets if you do not follow my orders." I took a dramatic pause. "Now then, shall we work?" They each got in depth with the meeting, ashened faces scared that without participation they would be lost.

My work begun, and here I am. I own the secrets of a planet, and secrets of my own. I will know your secrets and will destroy you with them. I know I will.

((My mind is really racing here, I've wanted to do this for awhile so I put it out. Expect some changes and added history.))

Mkay, I'm not sure if I will reserve this post or not, but I'm planning on going in depth with this characters' history once I start rping him. I don't want to reveal the juicy part of his training without being RPed alittle.

People have a week to add that to a reserved post before it's deleted.

Sector 13's denied existence by the Republic does not mean that rumors of its existence are not about, though directly calling it Sector 13 is a bit of a stretch.

It's not just denied, there is no evidence for it's existence. Just because the senator is a shady character doesn't mean he'd know, nor does the fact that he's a senator. And if the big reveal of his secret training is that he's ex-S13, then he would, in fact, be dead.

And there's also no evidence that 9/11 was conducted by the US government in a conspiracy to occupy Afghanistan and Iraq. Doesn't mean that people wouldn't believe it.

I'll change the name then, something more out there.

Then when I do go about and RP with him, you'll realize he isn't a former S-13 agent.

But that's conjecture based on something that is in plain sight; that someone did something very high-profile, and that there may have been ulterior motives. Saying that that's like being aware of the name of an organization that only the tiniest handful are even aware of exisiting is wholly inaccurate.

Put it this way, it's like how MI5 was never mentioned publicly until the 1990's. Up until that point, people were aware that there was probably some form of domestic anti-espionage, but I bet you every penny I own that they never said, "gee, if there is some kinda domestic anti-espionage agency present in the UK, I bet it's called MI5." They would have assumed that the responsibility fell onto the police and it's special branches (it did, for a long time).

My point is, that if there is an overwhelming need to mention an intelligence agency, make one up or use a more public one, not the one that is the best kept secret in the Republic.

Yeah, I just was saying that he could postulate the existence of some government agency that worked outside the law. I suppose sector 13 would be a little good for guessing unless there is a sector 12 and 14 but no 13. And in that, case, it wouldn't be as surprising.
