Any Lefties Out There?

I know there has to be at least one or two here.

Left-handedness has been on my mind lately,what with my discovery of National Southpaw Day (which is August 13th for anyone wondering). I've heard all sorts of horror stories about left handed children being forced to use their right hand and all of the effects. So I decided to see how many I could find and see if any shared my predicament. For I was one of those children (thanks to a kindergarten teacher), but thankfully spared the nastier effects.

I know one other leftie-turned-rightie (her step-dad beat her left hand if she used it) and my dad is a leftie too (he loves to say we are the only ones in our right mind)

And my dad is correct: We are in our right minds! I saw a shirt recently that read "I may be left handed, but I'm always right" Of course, me being who I am I pointed it out to the one person in our group (we were at Disney) who thinks lefties are evil/weird/should be eliminated (two times sitting through that lecture is two times too many >.<)

Being ambi is awesome...unless you're trying to eat and your hands get all confused so you end up with a spoon in one hand and a fork in the other hand trying to eat two things at once O.o >.<

Eating=Ambi
Writing=Righty (but I can write right to left with my left hand...which is pointless
Boxing=Lefty (and trying to show anyone how to stance properly is horrendous because I confuse them)

I was also part of something kinda like that but some of the more prominent members were also lefties so most people were used to it.

Right-handed, though my left hand actually is stronger (a few years of playing upright bass'll do that to you), and I'm working to get myself to a functional level of ambidextrousness (Ambidextrosity? Eh, who cares), because I broke my right wrist in April (damn thing still hurts) and I got really annoyed whenever I tried to write or eat with my left hand.

I'm a lefty, which is really weird considering that when I was born, the entire left side of my body was paralyzed. I'm also left-footed.

Being left handed is perfect for baseball, because it really stirs people's s*** when you pitch a left handed slider to them

That's just... weird. You hear about racism but someone acting violent towards another for the hand they use... I wonder where the Westboro baptist church stands on this. You know they have to have an opinion.

I think that's just because there are more right-siders than left-siders in the world.

But either way I'm a right-hander.
