Any tips for RPing a pirate ?

Thinking of making a pirate character IN SPACE !! Any advice on how to do it properly or groups he could work with

I don't know too many indies but @Fyremage got the Captain, who used to be a pirate oder something like that? At least he's still a crook I think xD (sorry if I get something worng I just woke up) Maybe he can help : 3

I archived my pirate, but I suggest

1) copy Treasure Island
2) bomb main faction target
3) become equally loved as hated
4) archive char, disappear into legends and folklore.

My character Geir Anbros used to be a pirate king of sorts. But i guess the most important thing to keep in mind is motivation. Why is your character a pirate and expand on it. Typically pirates don't follow the rules. Their trappings and mannerisms reflect that.

Also, for realsies now, I'd recommend reading up on a few of the more famous pirates and really attempting to understand what made them want to "Pirate" lol. The best inspiration comes from reality in my opinion. Just be sure that your character isn't a carbon copy.

don't forget the mandatory cybernetic.

cybernetic leg is a must. Especially if you want the stereotypical dramatic entrance.
