Anyone want to help with a species concept?

Hey there! So i have an idea for an avian species that is carnivorous, based in warrior culture, and cannibalistic as a way of honoring the deceased. I'm not sure if i would be ready to do a write up any time soon, i'm still thinking stuff through of what would be an interesting idea. For people that have already done species write-ups, can I get any advice or anything like that?

I'm more or less looking for someone to throw me ideas and possibly co-create the species if anyone would be interested in it? I would be using the Ikwen species from Loud Ninja Games as a base for it.

Wait a minute, those are the Ikwen! I was going to use them a while back for a species.

But anywho, the real key is took make a unique culture, something you can't get anywhere else.

I'm not exactly what anyone would call experienced, but I do love drafting profiles and designing races, cultures, and tech. If you'd like, I'm down with helping since I love the look of these Ikwens (name pending, I figure). They also sound incredibly reminiscent to Merits, lizard aliens seen in Republic Commando: True Colors. They share the whole cannibalization aspect; maybe you could draw on some bits from these guys.
