Aodán Sidal

NAME: Aodán Sidal
FACTION: New Jedi Order
RANK: Padawan
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 17
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 6'1 (185.42 cm)
WEIGHT: 164 lbs (74.39 kg)
EYES: Hazel
HAIR: Dark brown and cut relatively short in a Caesar haircut style.
SKIN: Olive
CREDITS: 1,000
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: He has a birthmark beneath his left eye just off to the side.
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes he is Force Sensitive but hasn't been formally trained by a master. He has had some informal training from the Tarasin species on his homeworld of Cularin.
STRENGTH: In terms of sheer physical strength Aodán is fairly average for a young human male. In his youth he spent a great deal of time playing out in the forests just outside of his settlement. These running and climbing games gave him a healthy physical frame. But he does not actively work out to increase his strength. On a whole he could curl maybe about 20lbs and bench around 140lbs.
DEXTERITY: When it comes to nimbleness and agility Aodán is rather lacking. He can be somewhat quick in a sprint but he is by no means the fastest kid in his settlement let alone in other areas. It should be noted he does have pretty solid finger dexterity though and is somewhat accomplished at little tricks such as palming small items.
CONSTITUTION: Aodán is a very hardy individual and what he lacks in strength and speed he makes up for in stamina. To put it in other terms he wont win the sprint by he will excel in the marathon. On top of that he has a very strong constitution and is rarely if ever sick. Mixed with sheer tenacity Aodán can last a good while in strenuous situations.
INTELLIGENCE: Aodán is moderately intelligent and happily devoured information as he transitioned from boyish youth to adolescence. His keen mind seemed to only be limited by the knowledge that was imported from the core worlds. When coming into contact with the Tarasin as a young man he learned over time their spoken language Tarasinese and their unspoken language resulting in the changing colors of their scales.
WISDOM: Where Aodán was limited in his ability to learn beyond a certain amount due to his environment. So he would more than made up for it in his natural perceptions and innate feelings. With a high degree of empathy and intuition Aodán was able to quickly pick up the unspoken language in the change of color for the native Taransin species.
CHARISMA: Aodán has a general warmth about him that makes him rather likable to most he meets. With that said he normally isn't one to seek the spotlight like many others are inclined to do, instead he often forges strong bonds with a handful of people. Still due to his father's active roll in politics Aodán is rather adept at getting strangers to have a favorable opinion of him.

PERSONALITY:
Aodán is for the most part a rather astute individual whose more reserved demeanor affords him the ability to really take in the world around him. Burdened with a constant yearning for understanding the young man always tries to expand the base of his knowledge whenever possible. This trait started as a child and was fostered quite eagerly by his parents as he developed. Aodán could often be seen as having a general warmth to him that makes him very easy to approach. The youthful vigor exhibited in many young men bordering on adulthood was not a great blazing fire in Aodán, but more of calm candle steady and lasting.

His thirst for knowledge and general curiosity can lead him down some odd and potentially dark paths. Not only that but he can often get lost in his thoughts and be absent minded. On top of that Aodán has a tendency to forge really strong bonds with others which can be detrimental to a young jedi in training during a time of such upheaval.
BIOGRAPHY:
Aodán was the only child of Yorin and Saani Sidal and like his parent before him Aodán was born on the planet Cularin in the city of Hedrett. The tumult of the mounting war between the Empire and the Galactic Alliance had yet to really reach the Cularin system as a whole and thus life for the people there was relatively peaceful in the wake of such destruction and devastation. As such for the young Aodán life was generally very pleasant. Ever an insightful child Aodán's parents recognized the talent of the youth although they did not understand that the boy's insights came through the nudging of the force. Thinking he was more prodigy than adept they tried to rein in their child's youthful exuberance with lessons in order to guide their son into a future member of the junior council like Yorin currently was. A dutiful child Aodán took to the lessons with very little resistance. Eventually gaining an enthusiasm for the studies as he grew older.

It was through his parent's grooming that he came to encounter the Tarasin in a more intimate fashion when he had grown older. Hedrett the city of his youth, and the only home he had known, held the largest Tarasin population out of any human city on the world. As such his father thought that it would be best for Aodán's political grooming to understand all peoples within the city. This fateful decision would be Aodán's first real glimpse into the gift that passively guided him as a boy. The Tarasin people were a force sensitive race whose way of life revolved around the natural wonder of the world around them. Although the process was slow Aodán dedicated himself to learning more of the Tarasin and their society with an open minded sincerity. As he learned more and further integrated himself Aodán would eventually be noticed by a few within the Tarasin society who felt the pull of the force from the boy. Having grown fond of the young man and with permission from his parents the Tarasin sought to take Aodán to the nearby Irstat, or clan, to introduce him to others who dealt with the force. It was here that Aodán's informal training began although it would hardly be anything beyond tapping into the force actively.

By the time Aodán had turned 17 he had grown both as a person and a wielder of the force. With the focus of his teachers being on expanding his senses to the natural world around him it would come as no surprise when Aodán felt a disturbance in the force. A presence that sought to conceal itself drew Aodán's attention while on his way back from one of his lessons. The sensation was like nothing he had felt before that time as everything on Cularin was so connected with one another. To have something actively try and not be part of that connection was almost unheard of. Aodán spoke with his teachers but the Tarasin did not seek to investigate this presence. The young man on the other hand could not resist his curiosity and so he reached out through the force and let it guide him towards the disturbance. What he found, or rather who he found, was a Twi'lek Jedi Knight named Koyi Rha who had just come to the planet. Her craft was in need of repairs from a mission she had been on and she stopped outside the port city of Hedrett to get those very supplies she needed. She had been cloaking herself so as to not disturb the native peoples on the planet. Thinking that by doing so she could hide her presence and keep them out of any danger. As such it came to a great surprise when not only she was discovered but she felt the presence of the force through the boy as he emerged through the brush to find her. When questioned about how he could find her Aodán explained that he could not sense her. That it was like an inversion where she was present and that he likely would have never found her had the planet not been so interconnected that she stuck out. Impressed with the young man's insight and his forthright attitude the Jedi knight took an interest in the boy. Every day he would visit her and offer what help he could with the repairs, and every day she would answer a slew of questions about the Jedi and her travels.

When finally the repairs were done Rha would meet with Aodán one last time. Seeing his potential she found that it would be a waste to leave this young man without at least offering him a chance at coming with her. The offered thrilled Aodán and had he just been on his own he would have gladly accepted. But he was a dutiful son and though his heart yearned to go he could not leave without discussing it with his parents. Respecting his decision Koyi Rha traveled with the young Aodán Sidal to his home and discussed with his parents about his future. For obvious reasons both his parents were concerned. But when Aodán spoke with such fervor and demonstrated his abilities by making a few of the pots around their home rise and set back they assented. With this a new chapter would begin as Rha would take Aodán to the Kothlis outpost for training in the ways of the Jedi.
FORCE POWERS:
This section is being done on a scale of 1-10 with 4 being the highest a non-trained force wielder can reach.
Force Jump: 2/10 Aodán has a basic understanding of force augmentation but he is not well versed in it.
Force Speed: 2/10 Once more Aodán grasps the basic concepts but he hasn't been able to practice them much.
Force Sense: 4/10 With his time training among the Tarasin and due to their unique religious view of a symbiotic relationship with their world Aodán's ability to sense through the force is actually quite adept. It was what he was taught most extensively by the Tarasin as he grew up.
Force Push/Pull 3/10 Aodán's skill in telekinesis is just above basic. Through focus and calm he can bring objects to move but he has not had to use these abilities in stressful situations before.
SKILLS:
Groomed at a young age to be a diplomat Aodán has a certain way with people enhanced by his natural insights into his surroundings. He was polite, friendly, and has the kind of warmth to his personality that a lot can't help but open up to. On top of that he has a voracious appetite for knowledge that was cultivated in his youth. He would likely make a competent Consular or Sentinel depending on the training his Master decided to give him based off of his mentality and personality.

Physically he is a well built and very healthy young man. Not particularly strong or fast he is instead very resilient. His hand dexterity is certainly something of note and paired with his perception makes Aodán pretty decent with a blaster considering his lack of training.

*Potential as a Peacekeeper/Diplomat
*Strong sense and intuition enhanced through the force
*Powerful desire to learn and increase his knowledge.
*Decent with a blaster and hand tricks (coin magic, palming)
*He can speak Basic, Tarasinese, and understands the Tarasin Skin Tone Language.

LIGHTSABER/SWORD FORMS:
He currently has a training saber but no real form outside of a basic understanding of Shii-Cho. Aodán is possibly looking into either Soresu or Shien/Djem So to study in depth and this will likely be influenced by his master's teaching.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

Strengths:
Aodán has a warm and welcoming personality that makes it easy for him to make attachments.
He has a strong desire for knowledge and understanding and is always seeking to push beyond what he knows.
Aodán is particularly skilled in sensing through the force as well as a naturally high intuition and empathy. But much like an unpolished gem it will take some work for him to shine.
His resilience and stamina are rather high for a youth of his age. He can last longer through physical activity that may tire others out.

Weaknesses:
Aodán can sometimes get swept up in his thoughts or the pursuit of new information. In the former it can make him hesitant to act and the later can lead him into trouble.
Physically Aodán is not the most agile or nimble of people which can prove fatal to the untrained youth against opponents who can outmaneuver him.
He has a tendency to form strong bonds with those close to him. These emotional attachments serve as a strength and equally great weakness.
Aodán was generally sheltered as there wasn't a great deal of conflict on Cularin. As such he is greatly inexperienced in relation to war and is virtually untouched by the cruelty of warfare.
GEAR:
Aodán's can normally be seen in rather simple beige clothing trimmed in teal and gold as those were his family colors. He carries with him a necklace made of kilassin leather given to him by his Tarasin teachers before he left. Aodán also has a small amount of credits given to him by his parents before leaving with Jedi Knight Kiyo Rha.

Ties That Can Bind -In progress
After returning from Corellia Aodán realized that he needs some more training exploring the various citizens of the galaxy. As such he departs on a solo trip to Tatooine to get a feel for a planet so completely different from his home world. While wandering the sandy streets of Mos Eisley Aodán stumbles upon a duro named Forim and proceeds to befriend and meet the rebel soldier and his crew.

Moving Targets -In Progress
Fresh from his trip to Tatooine Aodán decided it was time to really buckle down with his training and start working on his lightsaber forms. Luckily he noticed an announcement of training in Soresu that had just gone up. Eager to learn a potential style to focus on he immediately signed up for the class. How will he stand with so little training when the blasters start firing though?
A Bright Future -In Progress
In accordance with the wishes of the Order Aodán was sent to Naboo to meet with Jedi Knight Adonia Xylona to see if he was fit to be her padawan learner. They got off to a good start and after learning more of the youth Adonia accepted Aodán as her padawan. A Bright Future may be on the horizon so long as Aodán's skills are up to par...

Relationships:

Jack Endal: Jack was one of the first people that Aodán met when he was first brought to the order. The two would find themselves on a little side mission together and eventually come to train together as well. Aodán is generally rather impressed with the younger man, if a bit envious of his abilities. Still he does worry that Jack's youth might give him a sense of bravado that could possibly endanger him some day. Hopefully Aodán will have trained up enough by then to be able to watch the younger Jedi's back.

Forim Viridux: Was it a twist of fate or guidance through the force that allowed the pair to meet? Aodán would likely argue for the latter as how many force sensitive rebel captains do you really meet in a small backwater world like Tatooine? Either way the two seemed to hit it off really well and Aodán quickly bonded with the duro and his crew over drinks in the twin sun cantina.

Anara Natu: Having really only done a single training session with Anara Aodán is not quite sure how he feels about her. He could clearly sense her feelings for Jack and she is incredibly skilled which drew out a certain level of admiration in the young man. But they haven't had much time to bond yet and so he remains genial towards her but it is no different than how he would treat any other acquaintance.

Adonia Xylona: She is Aodán's master and he hopes to learn a great deal more about her and from her as time goes on!

((All of these are subject to change, adding, and editing as rps develop and his views of each person changes. But these are very much an in the current moment how Aodán views others kind of deal))
