After their dance in Nar Shadda, Karys had traded contact information with Anai. How were they supposed to ensure schedules aligned for Tango Tuesdays after all? However, this exchange also led to a more beneficial part of their budding dance partnership. It gave them both an ally to support their goals.

Karys had done some digging into a deep core world named Vulpter. There was a droid manufacturer on the world named Arakyd. It was one of the largest in the known galaxy and the Sith Order had a board member in their pocket. That businessman had used their influence to sway another of the five board members to voting alongside them. Normally, this would have been a victory for the Sith, but unfortunately two other members consistently voted against the Sith agenda.

Karys saw an opportunity here.

If these two board members could be swayed or forced into aligning with the Sith agenda, the Order would have a potent ally. As such, Karys had reached out to Anai on a Thursday with coordinates to his ship and a rough outline of the details. It was an offer to help him bring Arakyd fully under the sway of the Sith. It was an offer to share in that prestigious accomplishment with him.

He knew she’d bite, what Sith wouldn’t?

When Anai would arrive, Karys would have the boarding ramp down and the door to the interior of his vessel open. She would find him in his kitchen, wearing grey sweat pants, a white tee, and a pink cooking apron that was far too small for his 6’8 muscular frame. Karys would be laying out ingredients for their dinner. Without glancing back he’d call over his shoulder.

Anai, are their any dietary restrictions for your species that I should be aware of?

Anai would get the Karys Dinner treat, something he’d begun to offer to fewer and fewer within the Order now.

It wouldn't take long for Anai to accept the invitation to at least discuss the plan in a more detailed manner. It was an interesting proposition, one that would bring the faction even more strength than they already had. How could she turn down an offer to partake in it? Realizing that more people had had their eyes on her than she knew, there was not much incentive in trying to lay low within the order, so she might as well take part of such achievements, make an impact with more public tasks, the inquisitor way was hardly needed anyways, with the sith already keeping each other in check by culling out the weak.

The Kaleesh would eventually enter Karys' ship, being greeted by the large pureblood's figure dressed in casual clothing and a pink apron that looked ridiculous on him. The boy had been growing at ridiculous speeds since their met, while once they shared similar heights, he now made even Anai look small in comparison, had Anai not seen him every week for Tango Tuesdays, she would've been surprised by such a development.

"We are a carnivorous species, although we have forced ourselves to adapt to seasonings by now, so no need to skip on the herbs and spices" Kaleesh, much like other species in the galaxy, had gone against nature in the pursue of flavor, much like most sentients had turned peppers into different sauces despite the fact that evolution designed them with a flavor meant to avoid them being eaten.

"I see you've got a passion for cooking." She commented, knowing that no one that didn't like cooking would wear aprons like that. Anai started to get herself comfortable while the man cooked, although she had arrived wearing traditional Kaleesh clothing, she would take off her robes now that she was in a more private place, revealing the black tanktop and wide leg pants she had been wearing under them "Do you want any help or is this part of my host's hospitality?" Anai would ask. She was probably not as experienced as Karys when it came to cooking, since she learnt out of necessity, not love for the culinary arts, she didn't mind helping.

Karys smiled at Anai’s response, his species were likely primarily carnivores in their earliest stages of evolution. However, the Dark Side had guided them to consume whatever they could for survival. The blessings of the Dark Side were what made his kin strong and adaptable.

Good.” He replied. “My culture’s food is meant to be spiced, it’s not quite the same without them.” He explained.

Karys worked on the same stew he’d made for countless other acquaintances. While Anai was a bit more than that, not quite a friend but certainly an ally and an excellent dance partner. Karys worked on the broth, ensuring it was properly prepared before beginning to work on the repto-mammal meat that would be used in the stew. Despite his busy work, Karys would be listening to Anai as she spoke.

I do.” He replied with a nod. “Everyone eats, most enjoy eating well.” He explained with a smirk. “I enjoy the sensations they get by enabling that.” It was no secret that Karys’ motives weren’t entirely altruistic, no Sith’s truly were. “Plus hobbies are important, they give us passions to continue living. A reminder for why we do the things we must.

Once the meat had been prepared and cubed Karys would scrape it into the roiling water. He’d clean his chopping board and knife before beginning to repeat the process on different herbs and vegetables. When Anai made her offer, Karys would give an amused chuckle and shake his head.

You get to enjoy the dinner and relax while it’s being prepared.” He explained. “Consider it part of the payment for helping me.” He continued, glancing over to Anai.

Once the stew was all pieced together, Karys would wash the tools he’d used, put them up, and pull a bottle of wine from his fridge. “Want a glass?” He offered Anai. To anyone who didn’t know Karys, this was designed to make them feel special but it was a routine he’d moved through countless times. He wanted his guests to feel comfortable, to feel like they could trust their kind host, he wanted them
to talk about themselves or about their interests.

Karys sold his time and effort for knowledge on his peers and superiors alike.

The Kaleesh listened as the man talked about cooking, it was clear there was passion behind his words, and she obviously couldn't disagree with his statements, after all... "Were hobbies not important, we would not be interacting as often, isn't that right?" She simply stated, a small smile as she agreed with his point, did they not bond over Tango Tuesdays, after all? Hobbies were both a great way of securing one's happiness as well as allies, more often than not...And it was a good thing she had gone back to enjoying things.

"I do think my cooking is good enough, although...I miss back when I didn't have to rely on such commodities." Anai added, head on her hand as she eyed at Karys' kitchen. It had been years since she had grown accustomed to the technology of the wider galaxy, but she was still stuck to the past in a few ways "Few things beat the pleasure of roasting a beast you have hunted with your own hands, the mightier the better...But convenience is usually better than fun, unfortunately." It was yet another hobby Anai had, one that was also part of her usual lifestyle at one point. Perhaps she would take Karys on a hunting trip one day, chances are he had already done it before, given how the purebloods usually held a similar level of technology to that of the Kaleesh.

A small chuckle escaped her lips as Karys insisted on being a good host, crossing her legs and leaning back on her chair "Very well, I'll let the master of his trade do his work" Anai responded, patiently waiting for Karys to finish the meal afterwards, the great smell and appearance of the plate being quite telling of his abilities as a cook and making her appetite increase quite a lot.

Of course, she could not deny the offer of wine, nor did she want to, really, so, with a polite nod to accept his offer, she waited for the glass of wine and gently placed it down after receiving it, waiting for Karys to sit down before taking a sip from her drink or a bite from her food, as it was the polite thing to do. "Would you rather talk about bussiness now or after the meal?" While she didn't mind spending time with Karys, Anai was usually one to get to the point rather quickly, so she would let him decide.
