BIOGRAPHY

Aralan Vyshaan Delste, was conceived on planet Annwfyn during the short-lived Imperial occupation of the planet in 4 ABY. His mother was a young, naive, commoner who cast her lot with the Imperial forces, seducing, falling in love with, and marrying a petty naval officer within the Imperial Navy. Aralan himself, was born only weeks before the fall of the Imperial rule on Annwfyn and the sacking of the Imperial capitol on the planet. During which, Petty Officer Delste was killed in action by Annfyn rebels while ensuring the evacuation of both his wife and newborn son, leaving behind a shattered young family.

Aralan's mother was distant at best for most of his life, as despite her own exile from their homeworld, he was considered not only a cultural taboo, but also a reminder of her own foolishness. As the life she had believed she would have by marrying an Imperial was an impossibility now. Unlike the promise of opulence and wealth, Aralan and his mother were forced into a life of harsh labor and poor living conditions within the Imperial Remnant Frigate that they called home. Fortunately for Aralan, the Imperial Remnant Frigate he dwelled upon never reached Exegol to rejoin with the rest of the Imperial Remnants and join the First Order. Instead, the frigate landed upon Serenno and scattered into the populous to ensure the survival of their ideologies.

It would be here that Aralan would grow into adulthood, working as a library aide until his own force sensitivity was eventually uncovered. Aralan would carry his thirst for knowledge with him into the Sith Academy where he would absorb knowledge from any and all available resources while attempting to actively avoid the petty squabbling and power struggles of his peers. And while his path to earning his title as a Sith was longer than base murder or simple brute force, Aralan eventually amassed enough knowledge to naturally transition into that position.

While many Sith look to prove their supremacy on the battlefield, lightsabers plunged into their foes, Aralan seeks a different route to power. Instead, he seeks forgotten artifacts and forbidden knowledge to gain an edge over his would be rivals. Now, Aralan looks to build alliances within the Empire itself as he searches for clues into the very nature of the Dark Side itself.

Personality

To onlookers, Aralan appears to be an aloof and distant man, an observation that isn't entirely true. While Aralan maintains a stoic and reserved demeanor, it isn't from a lack of emotional depth, rather a result of his upbringing. From the inhospitable early childhood aboard an Imperial Remnant Frigate to the hovel he grew up in on Serenno, Aralan had stoicism ingrained into his personality from an early age. When this is combined with the focused nature of his natural personality and the training he received by the Sith, it created a creature of conservation. Aralan views the powerful well of emotions he feels from his Annfynian heritage as an advantage that shouldn't be needlessly squandered but rather, channeled to maximize their impact when needed. As such, he exists in detached disinterest to most things, this allows for him to focus on his true passion, the pursuit of knowledge and the building of contacts who would enable him to pursue it more freely.

Skills

While Aralan is a trained duelist within the Sith Order, he tends to rely upon an unsual form within the Sith, Niman. He utilizes this as a form of baseline defense that complements his preference towards utilizing the Dark Side when forced into engaging with foes or the use of his SE-45 Blaster Pistol. In addition, Aralan has maintained an adequate understanding of his blaster pistol and has a passable level of marksmanship with his side arm, particularly at close range.

As a newly christened Sith Champion, Aralan maintains a sizeable database of Dark Side fueled powers to fall back upon. These range from the for mundane usage of Force Sense to short bursts of Force Lightning when needed. However, Aralan has shown a clear preference for more subtle powers such as Mental Manipulation and even some more baseline Telepathy to convey emotions or "snapshots" of his surroundings to willing recipients.

Outside of the dark knowledge he has gained as a Sith, Aralan studied archaeology as a more personal interest, seeking to use the science to uncover untold secrets for himself. Additionally, Aralan has maintained his knowledge of library maintenance and organizational systems.
