The 421-B has a top speed of 650 kph and can reach an altitude of 30 meters. It has decent maneuverability.

DESCRIPTION​

The 421-B speeder was designed by the Lothal branch of Aratech Repulsor Company shortly before the end of the Imperial occupation of Lothal, though it was not produced there at all due to the security concerns that the local rebel forces brought up. Instead manufacturing was handled by one of the plants on Carida, where it received a strong production run as it was pitched to the Imperials as an improvement in firepower from the 74-Z that they produced for the Empire in large numbers.

Despite pitching it directly to the Empire, they were eventually turned down for any large-scale contacts with the Imperial armed forces and a limited production run was made for the Empire to supply local garrison forces. During this time the company was free to sell their craft to other organisations - one such organisation was the Alliance to Restore the Republic, though this was done through many proxies until Aratech believed they were making a deal with a PMC that worked almost exclusively in Hutt Space.

Designed with a sidecar, unlike many other speeder bikes, the 421-B was an attempt by Aratech to see if droid assistance could improve the overall handling and utility of the speeder bike in the same way that astromechs did for starfighters. Ideally, the type of droid to be added is a probe droid. When a probe droid is properly connected, the sensor and communications suite of that droid is available to the pilot of the speeder through the linked controls. Both the pilot and the droid can fire the blaster cannons as well, further allowing the pilot to focus exclusively on flying should they need to.

Due to their sidecar, they are slightly less maneuverable than most speeder bikes, though they are still capable of great speeds as more of the rear of the speeder bike itself could be dedicated to the engine, with some components residing within the sidecar.

LEGALITY​

Illegal to own or operate without licenses confirming that the rider is a member of an approved defense force or paramilitary organisation. Often not enforced in the Outer Rim.

INTENT​

Intent is to make yet another armed speeder bike to give more variety but also to integrate droids into the speeder bike market too.

RESTRICTIONS​

In pvp, this speeder is to be treated as a starfighter, and is bound by same restrictions starfighters are.
