"The first time was on accident." She let loose a bit of a hiccup, then blushed, covering her mouth. "Now, I know what you're thinking. Someone like me, a---talented procurer of hard-to-obtain goods, shall we say---must have been trained. Schooled by the wisdom of a master burglar, perhaps. Maybe even a one-time member of an esteemed thieve's guild, or some other such romantic notion." A rumbling emanated from her belly, much to her drunken surprise, after which came a massive belch that blew at the hair draped across her face. She grinned, moved her hair out of the way, then continued. "No, nothing so grand. As I said, it was rather unintentional, my downward spiral into the shadier bits of Coruscanti illegality was."

Taking a hearty swig of her drink, her words began to slur together, and she leaned back in her chair, running a hand across her face. "Yeah, it was pretty fun, those first few times. The smallest stuff was just so... exciting. Not much risk. That got boring after a while. A pretty short while." Another swallow. A pause. "It was a holomovie, actually. Pretty lame shit, too. Some girly flick that girls my age liked. Totally forgot I had it in my pocket, then walked straight out the store with it." She slapped her knee, chuckling. "When I realized, it gave me such a rush. I figured, worst that would happen, I would have to actually buy it. So I went home, looked it over, and tossed it in the trash." She laughed, higher and more clearly than before. "Oh, but you'll never remember this, will you? Shame. The first person to hear my story's snorin' louder than I'm talking."

She patted his head, then stood up, strolling out. Letting her drunk-out-of-his-mind friend pay her bill wasn't the worst thing she'd ever done. Hell willing, it wouldn't even be the last moderately villainous act she committed that day. There was always someone with a loose wallet, a heavy purse, or a larcenous desire. Truly, there is no greater prey than the stupid, and they're born every minute.
