Corax's arrival gave Nymeria just the respite she needed to gather herself and try to refocus on the Force after get her stomach cut up. With the Crusader turning to focus on the new arrival, who was now a much bigger threat to him than a tiny woman bleeding out on his floor, Nymeria was able to just touch enough of the Force to reach out and summon her blade into her hands as Corax tossed it in her direction.

As Corax attacked the Crusader, Nymeria prepared an attack of her own, a little more confident in her situation now that they were both here and she had her blade at hand as another line of defense. She reached out to a small but heavy looking vase sitting along the far wall and Corax moved towards her, she yanked it to come flying and slam into the Crusader from behind. But she still lacked the strength to do it right and the vase crashed harmlessly to the ground well away from him, a few shards harmlessly hitting his back as the vase shattered was all she accomplished.

The attempt neither hurt the Crusader, neither distracted him in any way to create another opening for Corax. All in all a complete failure. She was beginning to realize how much she needed to learn, to grow. If she survived this night she would make sure she learned from this, improve her focus so that one injury didn't make her so completely useless.

But that was a matter for another day, right now the Crusader was once more moving towards them and there was a fight to be won. So in typical stubborn fashion, she began opening herself to the Force once more and attempting to slowly gather it within herself to build up towards a future attack. She could not do much, but maybe given enough time she could still help Corax in some way.

OOC: Roll to attack: 8 (fail)
Roll to distract the Crusader: 6 (fail)

Varyn wasn't thrilled to see that the Crusader had just shrugged off the hit to the head as he had basically shrugged off the hit to the leg. This was getting a bit carried away, and if they didn't finish soon they were likely to both end up dead. A second attempt to hit Varyn was met by a saber parry before the assassin ducked under a sweep and brought his blade up under the arm of the Sith, taking off the Crusader's non-dueling hand.

It was a success, but the man screamed in rage and gathered the Force to himself, sending a blast outward the sent Corax stumbling back and sent Corax back over a table and off his feet. His muscles hurt and he could already feel bruises beginning to form, but it was a chance. A chance for Nymeria to finish him off and for them to survive this ordeal.

It was as good of an opening as Nymeria was going to get. The man was twice badly wounded and using up his final reserves of rage for the use of the Force. His attention was on the assassin and she would have her opening to strike. He hoped she would quickly. @Wit

Nymeria was beginning to see why this man was a Crusader, ever time they hurt him he seemed to get stronger, his grasp on the Dark Side getting stronger with each injury they inflicted to his body. There were lessons here, and as Corax took off an arm, Nymeria preapred to attack as well. One last gamble, putting everything she was able to gather into one last attack.

As Corax was hit with the Force, and with the Crusader's attention on the assassin, Nymeria released the Force, and at the same time the blade she held in her arms. It didn't fall, staying where it was for a moment before zipping through the air under her control, straight for the Crusader's head. It cut its way in from one temple, and out the other, instantly burning away the Crusader's life as it flew through him.

His body stood still for a moment or two before it crashed to the ground, a lifeless hunk that was finally no more thread to them. She let herself relax and let go of the Force, the pain from her wound threatening to overpower her once more as she fell back to lie flat on her back on the ground, before letting out a few strained words. "Let's just take a break, on this nice comfortable floor. A small rest before more trouble shows up."

Corax was half sprawled on the ground, pushing himself back up through the pain and looked around just in time to see the Crusader fall tot he ground. It had been a hard fight, and a bit too close for comfort, but they weren't dead, and their enemy was. He noticed that he was breathing heavily now, and his partner was wounded. He wondered if she was going to make it. She was laying back on the ground to recover and Corax made his way over to her.

More guards could be coming, he said. He should have been more compassionate, but he didn't want either of them to die. He looked at her closely, trying to see if there was that look in her eyes. He had seen the look before and it was an indicator that the person had given up. That they stood on the brink of death and would soon take the plunge. Sometimes it was accompanied by the plea to not let them die, and sometimes it was merely taken in silence. But he didn't see that look in her eyes. She hadn't given up yet.

He pulled the medical supplies from her belt and began to pull out kolto patches and bandages to place on her wound. Stay still, he said, peeling her shirt around the wound and applying a bandage with the cooling gel of kolto that she would likely be familiar with. It was a rarity that Sith made it into their 20s without ever having been injured before. @Wit @Clayton
