Asha is a quiet individual who rarely speaks unless it is to answer a question. While curious, she rarely asks questions unless it is required of her. In most cases she would use her initiative in order to seek out the required information herself - after all, there is an entire Archive at her disposal. She adheres to the second precept of the Old Refined Jedi Code, There is no Ignorance, there is Knowledge, despite the fact it is no longer in use, in the sense that she is always willing to learn. Asha is very independent, and a desire to help anyone in need of assistance. Due to necessity, she is able to undergo the basics of mechanics and repairs as well as basic medical methods, as she spent several years without her parents to do such for her. She dislikes asking for help, but will always give it where possible. Whenever Asha is worried, or anything similar to this, her left hand will begin to shake. At first it will be a slight tremble but after a short while it could become more violent. It is always the left, her dominant hand, as opposed to the right, and sometimes it will go from stationary to a violent shake if the situation warrants it.

Asha is quick to learn and on top of that willing to do so. Despite her youth she has grasped many of the core ideologies of the Jedi and several Force powers included. She stays true to the Jedi-Way as much as possible, and will only ever show an act of violence within the training sphere. However, Asha is not one to be around others. Due to her upbringing the only person Asha knew was her sister, whom she is no longer in contact with. This has stunted her social skills, and ontop of this, Asha is unfamiliar with various concepts such as love, happiness and friendship. Due to the nature of living the most part of her early life upon Cadinth, a notoriously desert planet, Asha does not know how to swim. As such she is internally frightened by the prospect of being close to large expanses of water, such as ponds and lakes, but she would never openly show this, as she's well aware that all weaknesses can be exploited by ones enemies.
There is another side to Asha which could be deemed, for lack of a better word, strange. Due to the isolation she put herself into, Asha shares her mind with two other 'voices', so to speak. While not secondary personalities, nor actual entities that have taken to using her to project themselves, they will often mentally call out to her both encouragements, criticisms and general comments. Often, Asha will ignore them, but sometimes the small voice of reason will give her something to go by, or keep her on track. The louder, less helpful voice can also do so, but in a more demanding manner. As such, Asha can sometimes be seen to have inner conflict, which can transfer itself outwardly into her expressions. Luckily for Asha, her Epicanthix traits restrict anyone from looking into her mind, but if they were to do so they'd find these 'voices' as easily as they'd find Asha herself. They are also regarded, by Asha, as the cause of her inability to communicate with others, a mental block so to speak that seeks to trap her in her 'sanctuary'.

Asha was born on Panatha to two Epicanthix parents. They lived in a remote region with dense forestry which provided all the shelter, meat and water that the family required to survive. There were very few people for miles around where the nomadic family lived. Not even a year into her life, however, Asha's father left with the promise of returning soon, claiming to have business elsewhere. When he did not return and rumour spread of his demise her mother, Isaya Vaux, decided that she could not bear to live there without him. She packed up and luckily found a pilot who had touched down on the planet on his way elsewhere. Isaya took young Asha away with the pilot and off Panatha. The ship was headed for Cadinth, startlingly different to the landscape of Panatha, mostly a desert wasteland save for the Capital - Saskapeg. It was here that Isaya began anew. She remarried a man called Alexisajando and had a second daughter with him, Phoenix. Things turned sour, however, and Alexisajando left Isaya and the girls within the same year. Impoverish due to the lack of their income, Isaya sought ways to uphold the family - however this proved difficult due to her lack of experience with jobs. In the end Isaya would become subject to slavery within what little of a slavers-circle Saskapeg still had. The girls remained free, however, due to their young ages. It was up to Asha most days to look after Phoenix, and some times they would go whole weeks without seeing their mother. On one rare occasion when Isaya was home, Alexisajando returned. It did not end well.

Someone was pounding on the door, demanding entry, threatening. “Take your sister, and go.” A woman said and the young girl slowly took the hand of her sister and moved away. “Sha?” the confused three year old asked. The older girl said nothing until they reached a small room taken up by two cots. “Under the bed” Sha said, and the three year old complied. The older girl gestured for silence before turning back to the door. She crept silently out into the room where the banging had subsided. Slipping under a covered table the girl peered out to where the woman stood. Before them was a man in full body armour, a helmet covering his features. “Where is he?” the man demanded, scanning the room with a movement of his head. “Here” said a second man, who walked from a door to the right, a man Sha had not seen in years. “Father!” she called out, in truth the man was Alexisajando, but her voice was lost to the woman’s. “Nooo!” she screamed as she placed her body between the armoured man and the Father. “Step aside, wench” was all the warning the woman had before the armoured man lifted a blaster and fired. “Mother!” Sha cried as the woman hit the floor but again her voice was lost to the commotion. When she looked up, blurry eyed, from her Mother’s body, the man she knew to be her Father was being hauled away.
Asha was forced to leave Saskapeg the moment the men were gone, covering the body of her mother first. She could not let Phoenix see what had happened, though she had no doubt the child had heard. Asha, at the time only six, led her younger sister by the hand and out of the city. They fled into the sandy mountains where Asha attempted to build a life for her sister. A year passed with little incident, until one fateful evening when they were approached by two individuals; a man and a woman. The man was simply known as "Windrage" and the woman S'iyah, and both addressed themselves as Jedi (One a Master and the other a Recruiter.) They were not the only ones to follow, however, and another soon approached them.
A man with purple hair lay before her, clutching at his chest yet otherwise looking calm. “Water” a young voice muttered, and a moment or so later a flask was thrust into her grasp. In the distance static clashing could be heard, but the young girl focused almost all of her attention on the wounded man before her. She shrugged out of her cloak and tore a piece off, before lifting the man’s shirt up to expose the wound. Taking in a breath to steady her hand the girl took out a very small tin from the pocket of her cloak and tipped the contents into the flask. She shook it before soaking the piece of cloth in the liquid. “May sting” she muttered before slowly cleaning out the wound. The man gritted his teeth but said and did nothing else. “Bandages, Nix” the girl said and soon found a small ravel of bandages in her hand. Still the clashing emitted from the side. “Stay out of their way” she muttered before turning her attention back to the man. With a determined frown she began to tightly wind the bandage around his chest, constricting the blood flow in the process. “Not perfect” she said, before leaning back. “Good enough” was the reply he gave and when she looked to him he was watching her carefully. “You’d make a good Consular” An aggravated groan from their right silenced the question on her lips. “I’ll be back, S'iyah!” came the new, harsh voice before the clashing stopped. A moment later a female was at her side. “Are you okay, Windrage?” said the woman, offering down a hand to the purple haired man. “I’ll live, thanks to her.” came Windrage’s response. “It’s not safe here” said the other, S'iyah, before looking to the two young girls. “You like to help, don’t you?” Windrage asked, and it took a moment for the girl to realise he spoke to her. She nodded her head. The Jedi exchanged glances, before gesturing them to follow. “Come with us.” they said.
However, upon exiting the cave the Sith who had attacked them was waiting. Intent on some form of vengeance for his defeat he snatched up Phoenix and slaughtered her in the eyes of all who were present. With Windrage still recovering from the damage he had been dealt by the Sith, it was down to S'iyah to pursue the Sith, however she was unsuccessful. She returned to Asha and the man, Windrage, and brought them both back to the ship. There Windrage was able to heal himself, while S'iyah tried to console a devastated Asha. In the days that followed the young girl would say nothing to either of them, although both Windrage and S'iyah would still attempt to converse. For the next year Windrage and S'iyah would train Asha aboard the ship, sometimes landing to pay a visit to the Order on Tython where Asha briefly glimpsed upon smiling children. She felt the emotions pooling from them, ones which were foreign to her, good ones, and wondered what they had to smile about.
Eventually Asha was deemed stable enough to fully join a Temple, and as such was taken to Coruscant by S'iyah to begin her true training alongside others. She had said little throughout the year, preferring the company of Levi over S'iyah (who reminded her too much of her deceased sister) and thus he was her primary tutor. All that changed, however, upon her journey to Coruscant. Levi had been informed to stay behind, so as not to hinder the transition, so it was only S'iyah that she had for company. She kept on her person a small feather, which had come from a dreamcatcher she had made for Nix years before, clutched within her hand. Everything else was given to her by the Jedi; robes, equipment, provisions. Although the two Jedi deemed her ready, Asha herself felt anything but.
Father - Presumed Dead
Although notably absent throughout her life, Asha's Father still played a crucial role in who she is today. The lack of a Father figure brought about a sister for Asha to grow up with, and ultimately the events that followed his disappearance led to her joining the Jedi Order, despite the losses along the way. From Khahur, Asha inherited not only one half of her Epicanthix heritage but also her curious nature and ability to quickly grasp new things, whether they are intellectual, skill based or otherwise.
Mother - Deceased
It is difficult to say what Asha's relationship with her Mother was like. Asha loved her, that much was obvious, yet she thought that the mistakes she made were too great, numerous and frequent. Her Mother, when there, taught Asha the basics of life, both the good and bad aspects of it, and it was from her Mother that Asha first learnt to read and write, paving the path for her future. The other half of her Epicanthix heritage came from her Mother, as well as her caring side and the urges to help others.
Sister - Deceased
The light of Asha's world for several years, Phoenix was the sole object of Asha's affection and care. The pair were inseparable, virtually all the other one had, yet at the same time they were chalk and cheese. Asha was quiet, broody and cautious, while Nix was quite the opposite, talkative and fun by nature, with little care. Asha saw Phoenix as her sole responsibility, and would have done anything to save her the day the Sith came. She misses her to this day.
First Mentor - Missing in Action
The first to see the potential in Asha, it was due to Windrage's Force-Vision that the Jedi had turned up on Cadinth that day and in turn explored the caves. He was her first mentor, and taught her not only the philosophy of the New Jedi Order but even those long since discarded, relics of the Old Order (specifically the Ethical side) and these are things that Asha adheres to, without being ignorant to the present philosophy of the Order. He was her first positive role-model, and someone she will always look up to.
Recruiter - Alive
While technically Asha's Recruiter, S'iyah and Asha do not have the best of relationships. Due to the events that unfolded upon S'iyah's arrival into Asha's live, she views the Recruiter as too much of a reminder of what happened with the Sith and her loss of Phoenix. In turn, S'iyah has shown no real interest in Asha, leaving that to Levi Windrage, but has always done what she thought was best for the girl. The pair will likely never see one another again, but whether this is good or not is still to be seen.
Friend/Mentor - Alive
Orlaan was the first person in the Order to bring Asha out of her shell, and through him she became more confident with speaking and interaction. He is also like a mentor-figure to her, and was the first person aside from Levi to teach her anything with regards to the Jedi. Asha also connects with Orlaan, despite their huge age difference, due to his study of the Old Jedi Order and its Ethics, as well as feeling a more emotional connection with him due to his obviously difficult past which mirrors her own.
