Sindri sat in silence in the large sparing chamber. He had sent an invitation to a young knight by the name of Mira. For him it was not the spar itself that he was interested in, but the knight herself. At the Funeral, he had sensed something that was off.

Perhaps he was only over thinking it, but for some reason.. the young Imperial Knight had seemed darker then the others as if some taint lay within her soul. He could not blame her if she had such a thing, but left unwatched such things could lead to the darkside, so he felt it was best to get a closer examination of her.

His silver and red armor fit nicely on him, however, his helm was still damaged and in repair so his long green hair hung freely around his face gently swinging away and back with his slow breaths.

Mira slowly walked into the training chamber, the knight Sindri had invited her to a 'friendly' spar of the blades. Entering the room, she noticed his armor and felt almost out of place. Though she was an Imperial Knight and her master had instructed her to wear the red armor, she still decided to wear her average robes. The black and brown robes looked more like rags to the average person, but she liked it.

Pulling out her dual bladed Saber-staff, Mira said.
"Lets go."
She activated the dual orange blades and took up the classic Juyo style of fighting. She was a master at Juyo, and saw no reason to learn any other style. She liked the aggressive style of it, and she wasn't strong enough to use the other two aggressive styles. Juyo did require the practitioner to have a certain level of enjoyment in the fight, and she masked her enjoyment exceptionally well.

Sindri opened his eyes slowly to see the sight before him. She chose not to wear her armor.. yet she chose the style of Juyo? If she was not careful she would indeed live a short life. Juyo was a dangerous style for her enemy and herself.

Nodding only once, he pushed at the ground with a hard burst of telekinetic force sending him firing off at her into the air. Rising almost 15 feet into the air, Sindri started his spin keeping his body horizontal as his two lightsabers flew to his hands as he descended.

His left handed lightsaber was held backwards with the blade of silver running along the back of his arm as his right saber was held vertical over his head. The attack would be simple. His right saber would slash down with the full force of his weight and muscles behind the blow as his left made a downward slash at her legs.

Mira waited, her blind eyes seeing nothing, yet everything at the same time. When Sindri charged her, she knew exactly what was needed. She leapt off the ground the second his lightsabers came down on her, she let the left blade of her staff block his downward strike. She used his momentum against him as she twisted her body mid air. Keeping one side of the saber on hos blade while her spinning in air sent the other side screaming for Sindri's head.

Sindri blocked her head strike with his left blade. He did not attempt another attack at that moment because he was soon to hit the ground. When his feet touched the ground, he went into a roll to dodge any attacks that the Juyo user may have sent at him. Using the momentum of the roll he created a few feet of distance before shooting back off the ground in a back-flip keeping his body tight against itself.

His body was flipping over itself like a thrown ball. It was all to build momentum into a powerful forward strike using both his lightsabers together. Once again he would attempt to use superior strength to batter away at the smaller Knight.

Mira grunted when he rolled away from her, as she was about to try and counter-attack, she had to move on the offensive, lest Sindri tire her out. He had the superior strength and endurance, but Mira was going to show him that she had the superior training. She once again used only one blade to half-block his attack. She wasn't trying to block it headon, as he would surely batter through her like a twig.
She used his supreme momentum to her advantage by turning while keeping one blade of her staff on the lightsaber closest to her. She turned again, aiming to have the other side cut him down the middle of his ball.

Sindri could most likely simply continue to rool away, but in his current position, blocking or counter attacking would be impossible.

Instead of fully blocking it, she let her blade ride the blow. By him pushing down on one side it caused the other to swing at him faster then it would normally. It was a very smart move, he reflected, to use his own strength against him in this way.

He did not try to land after his cut. Since she had let his blow ride off, the force of his blow was pulling him forward, and he followed the pull. Keeping himself in the small crunch like ball, he continued the roll letting his momentum carry him right passed her leg. It was close. He could feel the heat of her blade as it passed inches above his head.

Stopping his roll feet from her, he switched the way he held his lightsabers reversing the grip so the blade ran along the bottom of his forearms. Not wanting to give her a chance to act upon Juyos aggressive nature, he jumped back at her keeping his body straight as he used the force to push on himself preforming a spin.

He would aim not for her this time. He planned on using his right blade to push her saberstaff up using the power of his arms to outmatch her strength and then let his left blade slid across her stomach.

Mira was getting annoyed, he wasn't giving her a chance to counter-attack directly, and Juyo relied on that. When he leapt at her immediately, she would naive to think he wouldn't be expecting her movements to redirect his. This time, she leapt to the side, not even attempting to block him. She simply got out of his way.

Now, he was moving away from her. She could come at him. She leapt forward while he was still moving forward, doubtlessly Sindri would turn to block her. But she was spinning her staff in a pinwheel motion, spinning like a two sides of death. If he didn't block both sides of her lightsaber, then whichever blade he didn't bloxk would come around and cut him.

However, if he did block both sides of her blade, she would instantly pull back to attack again and avoid any counter-attacks.

He was surprised when she moved. It was not that she moved, but that she had thought to move. She was getting better. When two aggressive styles fought each other, the one who was on the offensive was the one who would win. He had no intention of allowing her to build momentum which was why he spent the entire battle forcing her to defend and then leaving before she had a chance to build anything.

He turned to see what she had come up with. He had expected her to chase him and attack him with pure raw aggression such was the way of Juyo, but instead.. she was advancing with a pinwheel like attack. He took a few jumps back away from her to give himself time to examine the attack and decide what he wanted to do against it.

He could aim for the weak point of saberstaffs: The handle, but this was a spar not combat.. He could block her attacks, but then he would lose his offensive. He could use the force, but this was a spar to extend their powers with the saber.

Having decided on his strategy, he jumped at Mira, flipping his hold on his left lightsaber so that the blade was held in front of him. He understood if he blocked one end then the other would come for him, but. The other end would still have to come around, he was going to use that against her.

Using his right blade still held running along his forearm he would block the top end of her lightsaber as it descended. His left lightsaber was mere inches behind his right hand. The second his right blocked hers he would thrust his left saber straight at her chest. Unlike her attack which would need to make the full sweep back at him, his attack would be mere moments after his block.

Aggression was not something he was giving up. He would not merely block or evade. He would send in a counterattack with his block, but this entire event had taught him one thing about the girl that he would tell her after it ended.

Mira halted her forward attack immediately. She had, in a sense, lost. She stood there, his blade inches away from her chest. She had attacked his like she planned, but she hadn't expected him to counter-attack like he did. Had thise been full combat, he would have continued his strike and killed her before she would have hit him. She would have to take his method to heart, for the next time.

Stepping back, she deactivated her staff and turned around, he head facing down like it always did. It wasn't that she hung her head in defeat, she simply never had anything to look up at. She spoke as she began walking away.
"Excellent fight, thank you, I have learned."

Deactivating his lightsabers, Sindri allowed his facade to fade now breathing heavily from fatigue. On his part, he had learned to never allow combat to show on your face, but although brief their combat had been he was exhausted. Ataru took much from the user. He had been on constant attack and running at 100% while she was mostly on defense, so he was not surprised to find that she was in a better condition then he.

She wished to take leave so quickly.. it was as if she did not know how to speak. "Wait." Sindri said having regained his breath and composure. He put his own lightsabers away and looked at the girls back. "I will not take much of your time if you do not wish to be near me." He said softly. She seemed.. distant, so in a sense, he felt like he was pestering her in a strange way.

"I do not believe Juyo suits you." He said watching her. He honestly believed that. She thought to much for Juyo. She did not rely enough on her instincts and acting upon the impulsive randomness that gave Juyo its power. "I think you would do well with Ataru." He started. "Ataru requires no physical strength, but it is also an aggressive style much like Juyo."

He paused to let her think about it "You can of course keep doing Juyo, but if you ever wish to learn Ataru, or merely small bits of it to help with your Juyo, I would be happy to help you." He finished. Although on a side note to himself, she had taught him that he needed to work on pacing himself as he fought. While going all out worked, if it were a battle he would be dead against the next opponent.

Mira stopped, listening to Sindri. She was not the least bit fatigued, as she had trained Juyo ever since her father deemed her old enough to hold a blade. The style did not exhaust her, and she was able to funnel her emotions into it, contrary to what Master Jindaio would teach her.

She waited before answering, the thought of being around another Prospect for any other reasons besides sparring seemed forgein to her. And the idea of making a friend, it was a concept beyond her imagination. She never had a friend, in fact, the only people she really knew, thay still live, were two Knights she really did not like, and her emotionless master.

Yet, all this aside, she gathered up the courage to answer.
"I have mastered Juyo, it is simply the prospect of employing it against other styles that gives me cause to continue to train it.
She hesitated for a second, before continuing.
"But yes, I'd like to learn some Ataru as well, it might be, helpful..."

She left then, embarressed almost. She thought it so strange, she couldn't see him, and with her nature, if she didn't want to hear him then she could easy leave and avoid him. But something told her not to, something inside wanted her to go and learn more. Maybe get to know him. But not open to him, no, there was only one person she had ever 'opened' to. Even then, it was not voluntary, and she never even told that one everything.

He had half expected her to flat out reject him, but to his surprise she did not. He was happy she didnt, for he felt she needed this.. not only for her training, but because perhaps it could help her with her speech. He smiled happy that the training had turned out as prosperous as it had.

He looked forward to the lessons, he felt Mira would make a great knight.. but something in his heart told him something was off about her. Something was not letting her reach her full potential. Hopefully whatever it was her Master had also noticed it. If the knights had not fallen, he would be a full knight by now, or perhaps even a Marshall. He would have chosen her for his own apprentice, but at the moment this was all he could do for her.
