Minion sat in the chambers of his current quarters on the Light of the Force. He meditated on everything in his life at the moment. His decision to take in not one, nor two, not even three Padawans, but 4. The Jedi Order had been seeing a surplus of Jedi Padawan's/Initiates and most were untrained or had no Master. This was a terrible thing in Minion's eyes as the Padawan's and Initiate's of the Jedi Order are the future of it and without them they would be doomed. So, he took in the four Padawan's to teach them in the ways of the Blade, Force, and the most important the Jedi.

Today he would be speaking with one of his newer student's, Parren, on all of these thing's. The Blade the weapon of the Jedi their symbol of justice, the Force the Jedi's symbol of peace and the Jedi the Galaxy's symbol of justice and peace. This is what he would shape Parren into this day into not only the Galaxy's symbol of justice and peace but the Jedi Order's.

The Light of the Force was... impressive. Parren had seen nothing quite like it. He had arrived a few days earlier, and was looking around the ship since then, meeting the other Jedi, trying to remember the quarters, the medical centers, training rooms, and everything. He had been trying to be friendly, but more than usual he was given that weird, cold look. A gaze upon the unusual sword in his belt, the outlander clothes, his uncommon appearance. If not for the lightsaber he carried, there was no sign that he was a Jedi at all. After the dissapointment in his first day of arrival, he had withdrew to his chambers. He tried to meditate, practice with the lightsaber, and even sitting idly. None were satisfiying. He was considering leaving the ship, until he found out that someone he knew was there too, his master, Jedi Knight Minion. A fine surprise it was.

He halted. It was this door. He walked into it, appearing inside, finding the Wookie meditating in the chambers. It was a relief to see a familiar face again. The only one he had, in this huge galaxy. It was a time of chaos and the luck was the best one could hope for in such periods. For now, at least.

Along with a bow of respect and a smile, he spoke.

"Greetings, Master Minion. It is good to see you again."

Minion opened his eyes to notice his Padawan Parren in his quarters. He gave him an even stare as he was getting ready to speak. "Welcome Parren. I'm glad to see you here not only on time but early." He motioned for his Padawan to sit beside him as he used the force to bring two cups and a pot.

One cup landed in front of Minion the other in front of Parren. He grabbed the pot and poured Parren's and than his. So Parren please tell me what you know of the Jedi what it means to be one? And also about the Force." A simple question to some but those who truly know what it is find it hard to explain. Atleast for the Force. The Jedi is a straightforward question which in turn has a straightforward answer.

Parren smiled as he sat, nodded and grabbed the cup after it was filled, lifting it up to his lips and tasting, then dropped it back in front of him.

He paused before the sudden questions. Minion's tone also surprised him, as if he was asking about his day. He allowed himself some time to think. Of course the question was very simple and short, but to answer it was an entirely different matter, especially for him who wasn't raised to be a Jedi, and hadn't learned much about it. Even now he was considering himself a stranger to all this. Putting together an answer as best as he could, Parren let his words travel to the ears of the Wookiee.

"The Jedi are guardians of peace and life across the galaxy. They protect the weak, help the vulnerable, and watch over the abandoned. And being a Jedi means that you have certain duties, beliefs and a connection to the Force. That you mustn't give in to your anger, it means self-control and serenity. A Jedi must know how to control himself, otherwise the order would be broken, and evil would be free to spread chaos and injustice. A Jedi is a guardian of righteousness who uses the Force to defend the peace, and must be knowledgeable and patient."

Parren stopped and waited, staring into Minion's eyes for any signs of disappointment of satisfaction. Now that his inexperience with the Jedi wasn't as obvious as he feared, he moved on to the other question, which was also difficult, but also a field of knowledge. His parents had thought much to him about it.

"The Force is all around us, it binds everything together, an energy field without an end, surronding and within all living things. It is located inside everyone, greater in some from the others. It is Force what holds as all together, this entire galaxy and all life within it, penetrates us and fuels the life. It is an energy which commands an enormous importance for both the Sith, and the Jedi. The practicers of the Dark Side and the Light Side. Though there is no firm line in the Force which seperates the two sides, and the use of Force powers cannot drive a Force-sensitive to neither side, it is our choices and our emotions which controls that, not the Force itself. As such, how and why you used is what matters, not the which one you use... I hope this much is sufficient?"

He added finally with a soft voice, as he waited for answer, his hand going for the cup.

Minion nodded at his first response of what it was to be a Jedi. He took a drink out of his cup as the Padawan began talking of what the force was and setting Minion up for another question. One that was hard to distinguish to some but Parren seemed to understand a basic knowledge of what Minion was taught of it. "For someone who's only been in the Order for so little time you know of the Jedi and our ways as if you were raised inside of it. Very well answered." He took another drink out of his cup. "To add on to some things that you stated. We as the Jedi of this Generation should learn to not seek war. As you can see it has led each side to some parts of the Dark Side. Even if it is just a little for the Jedi, any power from the Dark Side is tempting to anyone. It's promises of power could lead anyone astray. Which as you stated before is why we must learn self control and be at peace with ourselves."

He poured some more tea into his cup. "You have answered some parts of what it is the difference of a Sith and a Jedi. Of what I will be teaching you of your duration as my Padawan. So I would like you to go into more detail in it." This question wasn't quite as simple as most saw them as people who used the Dark Side or the Light side. This was wrong on so many levels. There isn't a such thing as a dark side or the light side of the Force just the Force. The people who use it are either good or bad but the Force is a neutral entity in Minion's eyes. There also isn't really much difference between some Sith and some Jedi. Some Sith were actually good people born to the wrong side and some Jedi were just as corrupt as the Sith. But this was to be expected among such vast quantities of people.

The boy felt a certain relief upon seeing that his knowledge was quite enough to answer the question. Being a Jedi, was certainly knowned to him, as second-hand experience not first, yet he still hadn't manage to drive away the stranger feeling, a piece of past which still warned him that he was far from home and his efforts were to no avail, that he had to return as soon as possible to seek vengeance. Claiming that the Jedi and all these lessons dedicated on learning and eventually becoming one of them were all resourceless, being a Knight and a Jedi in the same time was theorically impossible due to occosinally clashing points of view. The boy tried to dismiss such dark thoughs, as they were pointless. Both titles were unabandonable at this point, as he was the last Knight alive and had to carry on the milleniums old legacy of his home, and he needed Jedi teaching and a master of the Force to be capable of returning one day to reclaim the planet from the fist of the Evil. Noticing after a pause that he was far from the situation at hand, Parren focused, leting his thoughts slip away.

"Thank you, Master Minion. I was given the basics of the Jedi in what little time I spent in Coruscant. Though I had to cover some of the missing parts myself, brainstorming onto them from my established pool of knowledge."

If his Jedi experiences were unsufficient, his studies on the Sith were even less satisfying. Again, the very basic information he was supplied with, but to answer this question, Parren had doubts that it stood enough. Again, he would probaly have to uncover thing himself.

"The main difference Master, if you ask me, could be the passion and personality. As we have agreed upon, how the usage of the Force was performed does not decide the alignment of a Force user, it is why he uses it, and eventually, what drives him to use it. Going deeper into the given person, it could be learned that if it was the passion, lust for power, fear, anger or simply evil motives. A Sith, may be driven forward by said evil motives or over passion, or could have been misled, corrupted. As the key to Dark Side lays in these aggressive and dominant emotions, it's continuity may also be found here, as such, the Sith draw from these, mainly the anger and power hunger, maybe together with hatred, fuel the Sith and fill them. Experiencing these luring emotions at their fullest, it may eventually lead them to deem these stronger and create an impression, causing them to see those as the real source of power which could allow them to bind the Force according to their will. While a Jedi, on the other hand, strongly opposes these offensive and war-encouraging feelings, and is neutral and views the Force as a companion more likely."

When he finished at last, he quickly grabbed the cup and made it half-empty, worring if their ware things wrong in his words. As he was forced to heavily draw from Worshippers of the Dark One and add to the Sith, he wasn't sure if some of the things he said existed at all. He been noticing some very obvious similarities between the two seemingly evil-willed factions, one being bound to the Dark Empire deep within the outskirts of the galaxy where he was from, he even dared to think what was taught to him in Knighthood Trials could be an unknown pratice of the Force, and he was learning the same thing that is known as the 'Force' in the rest of the galaxy, but under a different name, 'The Origin'.

Minion nodded at the Padawan's vast understanding of everything already. He seemed to be capable of great success in the future. He not only remembered what he was taught but took it a step further and continued learning by himself. He looked at the Padawan and could tell he was willing to go the distance."Another well put answer. Another thing to add to it though, the Sith also want power. The thing that makes them want to learn more to become stronger and stronger. Atleast most that I have encountered."

He looked at the Padawan and got up. "Now that we have gone over the Force I will continue on teaching you in it." He walked towards the door and stepped out. Walking down the hallway he went into a large room with a wooden wall in the middle of the room and other targets and dummies. In front of him was a weight easily over 200 lbs. Not waiting to see if his Padawan had followed him he lifted the object with the Force. "This is one side of the Force. Telekinesis which is a general term for force lift, pull, push and other things. The key on mastering telekinesis is getting rid of the size and the weight of the object. I as a Master of it envision a smaller object that I'm using telekinesis on. Once you get rid of the physical size of the object, you'll also be able to Master it."

He carefully put the object down and motioned for his Padawan. "Now you try." This was a test of sorts to see if the Padawan could do as he said without frustration or any other emotion and without giving up. A test of will if you might say.

Again, it seemed that luck favored him. He was surprised that such notable similarities were there in between his two life-ruining factions. It was to his advantage. When he mastered the Sith, he would not have to take extra effort to study Worshippers. This new weapon that he was already coming to love, the Force, had already proved a worth companion, and Parran would seek the further their friendship. When he was done, he could leave the Jedi and save his home, at very last. After all, this wasn't his fight. But... no it wasn't.

"You flatter, Master. And of course, the power."

The boy watched as the Wookiee got up and left without saying anything. A confused Parren did the same, following Minion from a little back with slow steps, again, not sure if he was supposed to follow. When he heard him speak, his doubt vanished and he quickly appeared beside him, running the distance in between.

The padawan again fell in doubt. Passing to lifting heavy objects from drinking tea and discussing about the Jedi and Sith was a long jump. Nonetheless, the boy would try. He let his doubt go, emptiying his mind, letting away with all the unnecesarry thoughts. He focused, listening to Wookiee's advice, envisioning a smaller and lighter object, he tapped into the Force, drawing and manipulating the grand energy around him. His hands rose, his eyes firmly closed, he applied Force to the heavy object, he drew further from it, The Force was all there is, a perfectly covering darkness revealed only one thing; the object. In his mind, Force besieged it, closing on it and holding onto it from each direction, the heavy object was touched with the Force.

As his eyes were closed, the boy could not see how it went.

Minion looked at the object that Parren was slightly lifting off the ground. "Do not loose sight of your surroundings. Even if it is such a heavy object such as this you should not focus on the one thing but all of your surroundings. Or else..." He called a stick over to his hand and swung at the Padawan's hand and arm. "You die." He threw the stick back over to the wall.

Now try again! This time do not just put all your focus into the object. Put most inside of it and be aware of your surroundings. Multi tasking is key in the life of a Jedi in battle even though we should not engage in it unless truly necessary." He remembered how he learned this fighting a Sith on Tatooine. Minion was battling about four Imperials while at the same time trying to defend himself against the Sith's lightsaber attacks. He barely escaped with his life and only lost his cybernetic arm, thankfully.

The Force penetrated, he was close to success, but then a slightly painful hit in his arm ruined everything, he heard the sound of object harshly landing. It was acceptable to ask for perfection, but to ask from the very beginning, Parren had his doubts. Yet again, the Wookiee was right and being a Jedi would easily put you in constant danger situations. Training hard and fighting easy was perhaps the most resourceful way.

"I understand Master. I will try my best."

Allowing himself a short pause before giving it another shot, Parren tried to find how he could turn Minion's words into action. Focusing entirely on the object, was good enough for the beginning, but it required the softening of the defences. Also for a less known fact, it could also make it more difficult, as after a point you would give all your attention to the object, you could forget to draw from the Force around you, it would affect the connection. Advancing from his theory, Parren tried to open his mind, and feel. He felt the Force, the unending energy which flowed all around them, a companion, as real and thick as the air.

Then there was the object. The Force was endless, Parren filled himself with it, keeping his senses open and channeling the Force. It danced around him. He tapped into the reserves, drawing from the Force pool in the room, it formed a cloak beneath and around the object, slightly lifting it, not Parren, but the Force. There was no weight. There was the Force. No obstacles, only the Force. No thoughts, just the Force. In a moment of victory, all of the enegry in the room rushed to aid him in his quest, rallying under the object, contributing to cause. He could feel, and see everything around him, yet with the Force. Almost as if his ability to feel had found life in them, anything that went through the manipulated energy around him, would cause a disturbance, a strom in the calm oceans, a light in the darkness, a voice, in the void.

The Force was there, and he fealt that for the first time ever, he could truly feel it, and dive into the tides, not a distant gaze. Grand, he thought.

Minion could easily sense the Padawan's connection in the force. Becoming one with it was perhaps one of the most difficult thing a Padawan could do, but it seemed that Parren was heading down the right path. He looked at the object as it slowly began to rise he sensed that Parren was also viewing his surroudings. Just to make sure he'd a little test for the Padawan. Taking the stick into his hand again he broke it into three pieces and tossed them onto the Padawan. Hopefully the Padawan would also catch them and be able to keep the object rising or at the very least keep it in the same spot.

"Perfection can never be reached but when I chose you as my Padawan I did so because I knew you'd be willing to go the distance, willing to give it your all from day one. That's why it may seem like I'm asking much from you in such a short amount of time." He knew that he seemed difficult at times and his motives unclear but they all had a purpose. Asking Parren to not only lift the object but to mind his surroundings is something that may have seemed asking for a bit much. But the rise to greatness had to start somewhere and the sooner the better.

As if the roots around the tree, the Force covered the air around him, while slowly flowing towards the object. It rose higher, and all was well, just when Parren was about to think that the current height would be enough, a disturbance in the Force around him, a knife cut through the cloak and advanced towards the center where he was, three of them actually. Of course, yet another test.

It would be simple. Rathen than a single direction of flow which he had been doing, two ways were necessary now, one to keep the object as it is, the other one to redirect the new threat. One hand broke free from the object and stopped between sticks and Parren. A quick breeze put together by the Force around the palm crossed the distance in between, clashing and scattering the two of the sticks, one went on a little further and landed, while the other flew of towards the wall.

With the other hand, the flow towards the object declined in strength, and the cloak beneath it, which controlled the height, shattered for a short moment due to push being performed in the other front, but was quickly restored with a wave sent by the boy. It almost fell, but quickly appeared back in the same height as before, even rising a little higher.

While the breeze could not dismiss the third stick, it still slowed it down, enough for Parren to catch it in the air. After holding it for a moment, boy dropped it on the floor. Observing his success on the object had seemed more interesting, as now it was standing as high as himself. Slightly turning it around itself, Parren stared into the Wookiee's eyes with a hopeful smile, eager to know if he was impressed, or yet unsatisfied.

Minion held a blank expression as the Padawan successfully dismissed the 'attack'. He nodded showing his approvement but then quickly dismissed it as the boy showed his emotions. "I am not expecting you to act like a robot but please keep your emotions in check. Hope can lead to disappointment which can lead to numerous thing: anger, sadness, grief, etc. But you did do well. Set it down so we can begin our next lesson."

He paused to let the Padawan set it down and walked over to the wall. Jumping to the top with ease he demonstrated how to perform Force Jump. "Do as I just did and reach the top. Do not grab the ledge and pull yourself up actually jump onto it." It would take atleast 2 jumps. The first would probably only reach the top with his hands.

((Short post sorry in a hurry.))

Parren expecting a warmer reaction, was dissapointed, yet he kept it hidden. He knew that the more persistent emotions were supposed to be suprassed, but the simple and harmless ones, in his opinion, were a little too far. True, experiencing emotions at their height was dangerous, his studies were proof, both in the Jedi Order and the Knighthood, but not all were dangerous. When kept in check, of course. Knowing that it would be disrespect to share his opposing thoughts, the boy did not speak, only nodded.

He released the object which was still hanging in the air, slowly and with control. When he was done, he closed on the wall, halting before it and observing. It was no easy task for someone of his training level. His established experiences were morely based on the combat and the mind, simple out-of-fight tricks were not his strongest suit. Yet as always, he would try.

Takings a step back, the boy prepared himself, both mentally and physically, gathering the Force, trying to enchant his body somehow. And then he set himself free, rising through the air, his hands met with something solid. It was good for the first attemp, but not as good as the boy wanted. The little success, however, was enough to encourage Parren to try harder next time, he repeated the preparations as soon as he landed back on the ground.

This time he took several steps back, breathing loudly, as the Force flowed through him. The boy decided that he would not count on any established technqiues. There were to be no tricks, no hints. The Force was all there is, the unbreakable companion and friend. He simply had to surrounder to it, letting the Force gude his movements, swiming in it. The Force was all that is left for the boy, and he was determinated to hold onto it.

He ran towards the wall, departing his feet from the ground and once again rising towards his objective, his mind was clear, his movements were clear. As he had hoped, there was no treason. The Force carried the boy higher and higher, closer to his target, a direct result of Parren's trust.

This time, he landed, as the Wookiee asked.

Minion could feel the disappointment in the young Padawan. He to realized that he might have come off as harsh and strict but Minion was a person that didn't think of other people's feelings and how harsh he could sound at times. But in all reality it was more so meant to better that Padawan to make him as successful as possible.

He continued watching the Padawan as he attempted the first time he saw his fingertips graze the top of the wall. His second try he felt the force flow through him and guide his movements. As the Padawan attempted it he watched and saw his completion of it. Minion gave a slight nod if approval.

"Well done Parren I noticed you felt disappointed earlier, forgive me of that. I often come across as harsh and strict but all in all I mean the best." He took a breath as he continued. "That was well done. You let the force guide your movements and trusted in it. When you trust the force completely anything can be accomplished."

Minion jumped down from the wall using Telekinesis at the end to slow his fall down. "Next we will learn force speed. Imagine the force helping push you forward and trust in it and you will easily accomplish it." He sped off to the side of the room about 50 meters away and motioned for his Padawan to come towards him.

Smiling as he saw the nod, Parren roughly copied the Wookiee's telekinesis-enchanted jump, landing besides him on the ground. Thinking about it, Minion did not really had to be encouraging. It was his chose, and there was nothing anyone could do about it. Perhaps the way he was trained, constant support from his family, his mentors, gave a soft nature to him, always expecting to be recognized and celebrated. A weakness, this was.

"Thank you Master Minion. And there is nothing to forgive. I was merely surprised, as encouragement is widely used in training in where I come from."

Force Speed. He already knew it, so this was probaly going to be easier than the two previous tricks. As before, he had to trust the Force. He always had to trust the Force. He knew the importance of trust in the Force, how it effected the strength of one's abilities, how it greatened the connection to Force. In this unknown land, far from home, Force was all Parren could trust, his only friend and future, he performed it betten than most. He knew what it was like to be desperate.

The Force surrounded him, flowing through his body, gathering behind him, and he started running. In the very first steps that the difference was felt, Parren was faster, and with every further step, he was far faster. The Force guided his movements, as he gave himself to it, a total and unbreakable trust, the Force gathered to aid him as he went on.

He reached to Wookiee in a short while, a little less better than his time.

Minion heeded the Padawan and would remember that but he would probably not use it. He didn't see the point in congratulating someone for completing something all the time, now if it were a great feat as Parren would possibly do in the future he would. He watched the Padawan as he gathered the force around him and sprinted toward Minion. A very quick time for a beginner but it could still be improved. "Well done. We now move on to Force Telepathy."

He reached into the Padawan's mind using the Force letting it connect between the two of them. "This part of the Force can either be used by force, making someone get rid of their barriers and tear them down. Or through willingness sharing a mutual bond of the mind." This was an easier done than said type of deal. Most of the time he pictured himself talking into the mind of the other. But that had only worked for himself and no one else that he knew of. Though it could work for the Padawan. "Picture talking into my mind."

He realized how bland and undetailed it was, but it was the best advice he could give to the Padawan. Hopefully though he could figure a way out to do it. His teaching in this would have to be improved on in the future if he ever wanted to help better his Padawan's.

Do it, as if you were talking into his mind. There would be no words. No movement. Yet message was to be delivered somehow. First, the young padawan started by opening himself to Force, manipulating it. Filling himself with, in his mind, he spoke; Master Minion. The whispers were given to the Force, a courier which would never fail. The unspoken words flowed through the Force, gently travelling in borderline reality, softly passing a path forged through the endless energy.

Master Minion, can you hear me? The Force could be trusted. He could feel it all around. It was as a cloud, a cover which was cast above the entire Galaxy. Now, Parren had unleashed his silent words into it, they would travel towards the Wookiee, attached to Force, carried forward by it. His senses had sharpened, now that he was able to see the grand picture. It was, amazing.

Minion nodded as the Padawan spoke into his mind. He had easily learned what he could not tell how to do. To him teaching telepathy was like asking what water tasted like, something he could only do but not tell. "Very well done Parren. You easily learned this and better yet with hardly any of my guidance. We now move onto my favorite part." Minion smirked as he took five steps backwards.

His favorite part was the Blade and what better way to see where the Padawan was at then dueling him first? Minion always enjoyed teaching others his skills of the Blade and especially in Djem So, his choice Form. Combine that with his secondary choice, Ataru, he proved to be a very dangerous opponent in lightsaber combat. The power and defense that Djem So gave him was enough to make anyone scared but matched with Ataru's nimbleness he was never outmatched, atleast against anyone he had trained with or had trained. Their was others out there that were equally as good as him or better and he would be the first to admit he was no Master compared to some of the people who trained to in the blade, but he was still good.

"The Blade. I will show you basic moves of Djem So and we will have a friendly duel to see how much you learned from it, hopefully all I'll teach you."

Opening posture:
"The opening stance for Djem-so was a high guard position, with the hilt held in a two-handed grip above the user's head, and the blade angled upwards and behind the user. The dominant leg would be back, enabling powerful step-through strikes to be utilized.
For Djem-So the opening stance would be either the same as the Shien opening stance or a balanced stance much like Soresu.

General Posture:
Once again Djem-So duelists usually maintain their high guard position. At any break in the duel they will likely return to this position because it allows them some advantages to range and a powerful opening.
Since Djem-So emphasizes power and Kinetic energy attack 1 is used powerfully from a forward stance, and attacks 2 and 3 are done in a forward stance as well (usually while advancing and pressing the attack). Attacks 4 and 5 are used as well, but mostly to defend in this form.
Though Anakin Skywalker eventually developed a one-handed varient of Djem-So this Form usually uses two hands.
Djem-So uses all of the moves from Shii-Cho. There are few differences in posture. It does not always use the high guarding stance either. That is only used by those who prefer it and is not standard but personal preference.
The difference is on the guard and attack strategy as well as footing.
The attacks are powerful and meant to unbalance opponents, while the defense is also a classic soresu, using the slightest deviation of blocking aggressively. Added are the steps of Makashi and the distance. Djem-So is careful to keep track of distances because this affects the power of the attacks and allows a practitioner to stay safer by using distance. That way when using powerful blows they have a better chance to pull out of a mistake.

Tactics:
Djem-So:
Djem-So stylists are Duelists. Their form is designed to dominate and batter opponents with raw kinetic force throwing them off balance and (like Makashi) taking command of the situation. The form is very aggressive, however it is also somewhat limited when it comes to mobility. Each blow should accomplish several things.

-The heavy blows demand the opponent's attention. If they do not block they risk getting cut cleanly in half from head to foot. This allows the Djem-so stylist to take command because the opponent's first priority is to save their own skin.
-Each blow takes ground and pushes the opponent where you want them.
-Each blow tires the opponent out and saps their strength.
-Each blow must also be aimed to unbalance the opponent. If they can be knocked off of their feet or trip backwards the duel can end.

When a Djem-So stylist is in Combat they can handle as many as four good melee opponents fairly easily or many weak opponents. Usually the tactic is to decimate one at a time while pushing the others back. A Djem-So stylist will likely crush one opponent (likely killing or knocking them over) and then make a sweep at another with turn-around force.

Djem-So stylists are also fond of turns. Since their blows usually rattle their opponents they are much safer bashing one opponent and using that momentum to whirl onto the next until they have all fallen.

Last of all Djem-So stylists have not Forgotten their Makashi roots. Djem-So stylists aim each powerful blow just as precisely as a Makashi stab. Right where the opponent is weak so that each powerful blow usually cripples or destroys the opponent. This is accomplished by striking the parts of the blade or the areas of the body that are physically difficult for the arms to counter. Each and every blow should be wisely directed so that it costs the opponent dearly to survive it.
To do this Djem-So students study the weak points of defense. The parts of the sword where it is hard for an opponent to block a lot of power. In addition there are spots that are hard to block from so much power just because of how awkward our arms can be sometimes.

Attack
Djem So focuses alot on attack, so the attack techniques are often very simple yet powerful.

Vertical Slash - Attack 1

Puting the lightsaber over your head, in line with your spine, bring the saber down, slicing vertically and end with your hands at waist height with the blade in front of your face. This move is quite powerful but does leave your body vulnerable for a short while.

Attack 2/3 Combo

This is a rushing attack where the lightsaber is swung from one shoulder to the opposite hip, brought back up behind the back, and swung down from the opposite shoulder to hip. This X-shaped attack is useful for keeping an enemy busy blocking and unable to counterattack.

Horizontal Slash - Attack 2

Bring the saber behind your back, keeping the blade horizontal. The handle should be just below shoulder height. Bring the saber round quickly slashing at your opponents right arm.

Diagonal Hit - Attack 2

With the handle at chin height and the blade vertical infront of your face, bring the blade down at your opponents right arm.

Horizontal Slash - Attack 3

Bring the saber behind your back, keeping the blade horizontal. The handle should be just below shoulder height. Bring the saber round quickly slashing at your opponents arm.

Diagonal Hit - Attack 3

With the handle at chin height and the blade vertical infront of your face, bring the blade down at your opponents left arm.

Lightsaber Shield Attack - Attack 3

This technique is quite a show off technique, and both Obi Wan and Anakin used this during the Mustafar duel.

Step 1

Bring the saber up over your right shoulder

Step 2

Bring the saber vertically down, following through past the right leg. Follow through until the saber is near your right shoulder and vertical.

Step 3

Bring the saber across your body, until the blade is behind your left shoulder.

Step 4

Bring the saber back across your front and then continue the cycle from step 2.

The Attack

The attack can come whenever you are ready, but has to be during Step 3. Instead of bringing the saber back down, bring around your back to the right side, placing your second hand on the handle when it is going over your head. Then arc the blade round diagonally, finally executing a horizontal slash at your opponents arm.

Double Attack - Attack 2 +3

Step 1

Spin round from right to left, bringing the saber up low on the left hand side (See in the picture). This is a possible chance to strike your opponents right leg, but it isn't neccassary.

Step 2

Bring the saber up behind your head like in the picture below. Strike at your opponents left arm.

Step 3

Bring the saber back round behind your head like in the picture above, only when it gets there, begin to turn from right to left again.

Step 4

Bring the lightsaber up behing your head again, only over your left shoulder. Strike at your opponents right arm.

This move is tricky to get completely right, and is also over in seconds.

You can See this technique here, performed by Anakin (foreground)

Horizontal Slash - Attack 4

This attack is just Attack 2 or 3, but aimed at your opponents back, and should only be done if the back is open for such an attack.

Horizontal Spin - Attack Higher body

Spin around and bring the saber slashing round horizontally aiming for the higher torso.

Lunge Attack - Attack Body

Holding the saber in both hands, push it directly forward in a jabbing motion, aiming for your opponents chest.

Reverse Lunge - Attack Body

With your back to your opponent, bring your lightsaber round to the reverse grip, then place your weak hand firmly on the end of the saber handle. Then push the saber behind you into your opponents chest.

Single Handed Lunge Attack - Attack Body

Holding the saber in your strong hand, push it directly forward in a jabbing motion, aiming for your opponents chest.

Upper Slash - Attack Body

With the saber pointing down bring the blade from the bottom to the top, slicing vertically upwards. Can be done with one or two hands.

Upper-cut - Attack Body

Starting in the defensive neutral stance as described in Shii Cho, swing the blade back, round your arm swiping upwards across your body at your opponent. The blade should end up on the opposite side from which you started.

Spin Attack - Attack Body

Step 1

Holding the saber with one hand, bring the lightsaber slashing downwards from over your right shoulder (or left if your left handed). The blade should swing from the top right to bottom left (unless your left handed)

Step 2

Bring the saber back round from left to right.

Step 3

Bring the lightsaber over your right shoulder. Your arm should be at a right andgle to your body witht he elbow bent.

Step 4

Bring the blade slicing vertically downards until in the position of the picture. You should lean forward at this stage.

Step 5

Bring the blade vertical with the blade arcing from right to left near the back of your legs to end with the blade vertical, pointing upwards, with the handle near the base of the spine.

Step 6

Bring the blade horizontally across your front from right to left, with the handle leading the blade. Bring the blade around your head, keeping the blade vertical. Grab the handle with both hands and do a horizontal attack. This attack can be focused at any part of your opponents body.

Though it seems very difficult and takes along time to get right, this move is over in seconds! If you do it quickly and smoothly you will probably spin the blade around abit more naturally; this bit just provides the basis to work on.

You can See this Technique here, performed by Anakin

Double Strike Spin - Attack 1 + Body

Step 1

Bring the saber down low behind your back, and bring powerfully slicing upwards at your opponent.

Step 2

Follow through, bringing the lightsaber behind the right side of your head. Then quickly bring the lightsaber round behind your back, whilst rotating your body round so you result in the position in the pictures last picture for this step. This is the most difficult stage and took me the longest to get right.

Step 3

Now bring the saber slicing round, attacking your opponents right side. Your back will be to your opponent at this point.

Swipe - Attack 5 and 6

Swipe the blade low from left to right attacking the shins.

Basic Attack - Attack 5

Bring the saber behind your back, keeping the blade horizontal. The handle should be just below shoulder height. Bring the saber round quickly slashing at your opponents leg.

Basic Attack - Attack 6

Bring the saber behind your back, keeping the blade horizontal. The handle should be just below shoulder height. Bring the saber round quickly slashing at your opponents leg.

Disarming #1

Start off with a Vertical Slash - Attack 1. Then push your opponents lightsaber down to the ground getting your lightsaber behind their lightsaber blade. Then bring your lightsaber up, making contact with your opponents hands. Anakin uses this move to disarm Count Dooku before killing him.

Disarming #2

Similar to Disarming technique #1. Begin with a Horizontal Attack 3 but keep contact with your opponents blade. push their blade down, then push your saber so the tip goes behind their blade then pull the saber up. If done right it should make contact with your opponents hands.

Defence
High Parry 1

Hold the handle with one hande above and infront of your head, arm stretched out. The blade should be horizontal. This will block any vertical slashes attacking the top of the head.

Diagonal Parry 1

Hold the saber high with the handle at shoulder height. The blade should be diagonal. This can be done to either the left or right side.

Basic Block - Parry 2

Start with the handle at chest height and the blade vertically upwards. Then swing the blade down so the blade swings to the left and ends up pointing down almost vertical in front of your right arm or side.

Vertical Parry 2

This simpy involves keeping the handle at waist height and moving the saber to defend your right arm.

Diagonal Parry - Parry 2

With the handle at chin height and the blade vertical infront of your face, bring the blade down right arm, defending your right side.

Basic Block - Parry 3

Start with the handle at chest height and the blade vertically upwards. Then swing the blade down so the blade swings to the left and ends up pointing down almost vertical in front of your left arm or side.

Vertical Parry 3

This simpy involves keeping the handle at waist height and moving the saber to defend your left arm.

Diagonal Parry - Parry 3

With the handle at chin height and the blade vertical infront of your face, bring the blade down left arm, defending your left side.

The Defence

You can continue the cycle as long as you wish, but the parry must come during Step 3. Instead of bringing the saber up behind your left shoulder, simply put the blade vertical, with the handle at the top and parry your opponents saber.

Overhead Parry 4

Bring the saber over your head with both hands so that the saber is vertical, with the blade parallel to your spine.

One Handed Back Defence - Defence 4

Bring your arm arcing behind your back so that your hand is near the base of the spine with the blade parallel to the spine. Then bring the lightsaber round to the front of your body and turn the defence into a horizontal slash attack at your opponent that is about chest height.

Agressive Defense 4

bring the saber up so the blade is next to the shoulder blade you need to defend, with the handle above your head. The handle should be vertical. The arm opposite to the side you are defending should arc over your head.

Defence 4 to Horizontal Attack

Bring the lightsaber up behind your back like in the picture.

Then bring the saber round to the front of your body and take it with both hands and attack horizontally.

Here, you can See this technique performed by Anakin (left)

Overhead Body Defence

This technique is similar to Agressive Defence 4, only the blade is placed infront of your body.

Basic Block - Defence 5

Start with the handle at chest height and the blade vertically upwards. Then swing the blade down so the blade swings to the left and ends up pointing down almost vertical in front of your right leg.

Basic Block - Defence 6

Start with the handle at chest height and the blade vertically upwards. Then swing the blade down so the blade swings to the right and ends up pointing down almost vertical in front of your left leg.

Kai Kan Drop Stance - Defence Body

Hold the blade horizontal with the handle to the left of your head at shoulder height. The blade should run just in front of and below your chin."
