Assault on Al'doleem
Rebel base
There were battles raging across the tiny moon of Al'doleem, despite its overwhelming amount of water. For the better part of the past afternoon, aircraft had been screaming across its skies, carrying both Imperial and rebel troops, who did their best to shoot the other down and ensure they remained at the bottom of the sea. It was a beautiful backdrop for such a terrible thing, but Wes took solace in the fact that they were doing the Galaxy a favor by keeping the order and suppressing the Resistance before they could do it any more damage. It was likely his higher-ups would not see things that way; Wes, an Imperial agent, was cooperating with Old Empire troops in their wipe of the Jedi. Should he be caught or identified, he would likely be tried for treason. Which was why he had taken precautions, in masking his face and signature.
He'd met his companion earlier, on the ship that had taken them to the small island off some coast where a rebel base and Jedi temple rested. The structure they were targeting was small on the inside, but had likely been dug into the hill, and was likely full of underground chambers--it was hard to discern from the kilometer that separated them.
Wes and his companion, an Old Empire Zabrak Acolyte, were overseeing the installation of 2 anti-air cannon, each about 20 meters apart, which were hooked up to their own external generators and targeting computers, among other things. The vehicles that had transported the artillery were slightly farther away, stationed just in case the workers setting up the cannons needed any help. They'd set up camp on a more vegetated island luckily, which should provide decent cover. Trees were scattered here and there, and their weapons painted camo green. The sky above them was clear and visible.
The Imperial agent leaned against a tree for now, his eyes rested on the sky above, every once in a while glancing around the island. Should any attckers come, he would notice.
"It's a quiet day, all things considered." he remarked the Zabrak. Their job was boring. They might as well make conversation.
