Star Base was finally online, and its accompanying squadron (and namesake) was about to be the same. "Star Squadron," as they were now called, had officially been formed on missions elsewhere in the galaxy, but this was to be the squadron's first official meeting as a complete group. Greybok's Starbird was parked in base's hangar adjacent to eight Malla-class starfighters, which were to serve as the group's signature vessel-of-choice—one for each member of the newly-formed starfighter squadron.

Greybok himself was standing in the adjacent chamber, the command center, next to a fully refurbished 2B-83. It felt weird having the protocol be full-bodied again, but the higher-ups had demanded it. They insisted the squadron would need a military liaison protocol droid and Twobee was well-acquainted with Greybok. The droid was delighted to have a body back. Greybok was disgusted, but an order was an order, and, at least this way, they could spend some time apart every now and then (even though he still required her for a translator).

The briefing material was prepared and he had just been informed that Leah Reach, from Alliance Command, had arrived to begin the briefing. Once the Squadron was assembled, and Leah arrived in the command center, the briefing could begin and Star Squadron would be officially activated as an Alliance starfighter squadron. Greybok had every intention of making it the Alliance's most elite despite its reputation for being... well, a little eccentric.

OOC Note - Let's all try to post within 48-72 hours, please. Dev can step in with Leah whenever he sees an opportunity, but the rest of us need to keep to a tight posting schedule with this thread. Open to members of Star Squadron only.

The scholar ran a hand over the hull of his untried and untested snubfighter. He’d worked away at the ship on and off ever since receiving the Malla-Class Starfighter with the assistance of Star Base personnel. First off he’d re-sprayed the entire ship with some help; he couldn’t stand the original green, and had stripped the original paint scheme off. The majority of the craft was painted a relatively light tone of haze grey; the main body of the ship had been given a red outline along the sides and one part way down the centre originating at the nose. He had chosen to outline the ship’s engines with a dull yellow and finished it off with a small pale blue on each wing pointing outwards.

More than a few of the base personnel had laughed at the man doing the cosmetic changes but Aurelian didn’t pay them much heed, he hadn’t owned his own personal ship before. He’d borrowed ships; worked on other people’s ships but never his own and he had decided he would take a bit of pride with his personal fighter. He’d also, with the help of a skilled mechanic who worked in the hanger, managed to fit a XXX Sublight Booster that he’d scrounged up a little while back. So far the ship had been on one test flight, before the booster had been worked into it's engines when Aurelian had visited Kashyyyk. So at least at that point the ship had functioned well although it had yet to even take part in any form of dogfight exercise.

A beep drew the scholar’s attention downwards as a B-Series astromech rolled up to him. The rustic and well worn looking little droid had been assigned to him along with the ship. B-F55, who Aurelian had began calling Fives, was an eccentric little bot. The quartermaster had offered to wipe it’s memory but Aurelian had requested he leave it be, after spending a year with Ner’Giza’s droid Ninety-Nine he’d come to appreciate a little independence from astromechs.

“What is it buddy? Wait already? Whoops!” he replied with a laugh and shook his head, he’d almost forgotten about the meeting. Already it looked like the Astromech was going to save his skin. “Time to meet our squadron buddies.” he announced.

Aurelian strode across the hanger into the adjacent chamber with Fives following closely behind. Stepping into the room he only saw one member of the Squadron he recognised immediately, although they’d never spoken, it was the Wookie Greybok who would be leading Star Squadron. Appropriately called Star Leader.

Stepping up to the Wookie he give a polite nod and smile. “Star Leader?” he began, he was fairly sure he was right. “Nice to meet you at last. Star Six, Aurelian Keth reporting in.” he said in a vaguely military sense. It was the Squadrons eccentricity that had drew Aurelian in, he wasn’t a soldier and he never would be but he could be a comrade.

Silently he waited for the briefing to start, only moving to give a respectful nod to Leah Reach once she arrived.

Alysanne let out a deep breath as she waited outside the briefing room, staring at the helmet she held in her hand, gently rubbing her thumb over the rebel insignia she had painted onto its sides. She was a little apprehensive about meeting the other members of the squadron. She wasn't really as terrified of revealing who she was as she had been when first meeting Aurora and Valentine, having worked with some of these men and women over the course of the past few months had put her at ease. But still, it was a big step. Closing her eyes for a second, she let out another deep breath and pushed open the door, stepping into the briefing chamber, where Grey and Aurelian waited.

Having heard Aurelian's introduction through the door, she stepped up to the two and did the same. "Aurelian, Grey." She nodded to both of them in turn, "Star One, Alysanne...Drast reporting for duty." It felt good, not having to hide who she was, having it out in the open. She had realized that she had to own who she was, and if losing a few friends was the cost to pay to figure out who her real friends were, then so be it. At least she would know, at least she would not be living a lie.

Besides, if they were headed out on their first assignments soon, there would not be a great deal of time for anyone to make much fuss about her name. But it was the knowing the truth that had driven her to do it, not the convenience of using deadly combat as a distraction. Yes, that's what she was.

Mig was not sure if he liked the cold planet. He had grown accustomed to more tropical words like Manaan. Even Kashyyyk had begun to feel like home and was certainly not like Hoth. The Gotal Engineer still loved meeting his friends though so he could look through the cold for now. Almost every member of the squadron was Mig's friend, but he still had to officially meet some of them to become friends. He hoped they would be nice. Their squadron leader, Greybok, was a good friend to Mig in the past so his people had to be good too.

"GREYBOK!" Mig screamed with joy as he entered the room behind Alysanne.

The Gotal ran to the Wookiee to give him a giant hug. For the moment he didn't introduce himself to anyone or say hello. First thing was a hug for their leader. It would likely be warm too which was a good break from the cold planet. He also would notice that Twobee seemed to not be attached as just a head anymore. Once Mig spotted her he would gasp and give her a hug too.

"Twobee!" He screamed as he changed to hugging the droid.

It had been Nine-nine that had insisted upon gilding the engines and lazers with gold to counterbalance the wash of blue Nera had painted her new starfighter. She had to admit it was rather cool and continued the droid’s choice to trim out the cockpit canopy as well. At first her astromech had thrown the biggest fit even disappearing on her for nearly a whole day being very disgruntled over being stuck here in the base rusting away with The Tempest Hunter. So working on the customization together had seemed to sooth his frayed circuits.

Dressed in her scout armour, her attire had taken on some additions due to the climate of Hoth. A flexible body suit, beneath her loose fitting blouse and trousers, and a huge parka with hood spacious enough to accommodate her species. Sturdy insulated boots completed her attire, along with a blaster secured at her waist. ”Come on Nine-nine, we don’t want to be late” she said heading for the big briefing. Shoving whatever nerves she might feel aside, the two trailed along the icy tunnels in silence.

She hadn’t actually planned on becoming a fighter pilot but it was not like the Alliance had an academy from which to draw so even her meager skills were put to use. At least she wouldn’t have to worry about risking The Tempest that was more of a home than anywhere else these days. Intimidating as it would be to get up to specs on the fighter she knew that her freighter couldn’t match the speed and fire power of such a craft and the availability of the Alliance to provide for the squadron gave her a sense that maybe they really could affect change.

Filled with hope, she and 99 entered the chamber seeing there were quite a few people assembled already. She smiled seeing Aly and Aurel were among their number and raised her hand in greeting before moving to join them. Her eyes went to the tall commander, who was being glomped by a Gotal, and though she had never spoken to the Commander before, the scene certainly eased some of her nerves. She had seen the Wookie on Anoat and as soon as he was free she would greet him. ”Commander Greybok, Star Seven reporting in”, she smiled and added for clarity’s sake bringing her hand to her chest, ”Ner’Giza”. The astromech extended his hydrospanner arm to poke her side causing her to hastily add, ”And KLT-99Z” She turned to smile at Aurelian and Alysanne, pleased to see them once again.

Coming up to the door, the fiery haired teen came to a halt in her steps as she looked at the closed threshold infront of her. A long sigh escaped her lips as she stared almost absent mindedly at the plasteel doors, there was a hesitance in the teen to step closer to the door to trigger it's proximity sensor. Not really knowing what was going to be said or how those gathered within would react to her arrival, over the past week or so the Rebels closest around her had seldom seen nor heard much from the junior rebel. Following the recieved Old Empire news network's graphic broad cast of her father and crews public execution that was displayed within the base's messhall, Eisa had been relatively withdrawn from the others within the base.

Even though she had continued to carry out her routine maintenance duties throughout the base, the teen had shied away from public interaction. Often disappearing straight into her assigned quarters as soon as her tasks were completed or as soon as she went off duty. The summons for the mission briefing issued by the base's commander - Greybok, had meant that for the first time the teen would actively seen out in the open, without having to make a sudden retreat and disappearance from sight.

Closing her eyes, the teen took one last deep breath and stepped forward. Slowly the automated doors slid open with a slight hissing sound from the pneumatic actuators, revealing a rather drained looking teen. Her bright yet distant emerald hued gaze panning over those who had already arrived before focusing in on Greybok and the recently repaired form of his droid, twobee. Stepping closer the teen cast a light but forced smile to the Wookie and the droid. "Star three, reporting in" Esia spoke out as she offered a nod towards the commander before proceeding towards one of the vacant seats in the briefing room and sitting down.

Whether the teen appeared if wasn't in the right frame of mind or not to be in attendance, she still knew that she had a job to do.

Leah had reviewed the operation Greybok had planned. Seizing the Moddell sector and the faraway world tucked in the middle: Endor. Home to a primitive species and covered in an endless forest, the rebel ambassador believed there was no real value to the world or its surrounding territories. While it was important of the Galactic Alliance to stretch across the Outer-Rim and establish as many individual outposts as possible, Endor was pushing it. On the verge of the Unknown Regions, she personally would have never supported the idea. At least, not without Greybok’s simple-minded charm and Commander Ion’s approval.

She marched into the briefing chambers, a datapad tucked under one arm. Her eyes wandered over the rebels gathered. Most were familiar faces: Ner Giza and Aurelian Keth, the mysterious girl from Kashyyyk, Eisa Swan. Her focus lingered on the girl a moment longer than the others. She was hurting, Leah could tell. The tragic turn of events, the death of her father and family, had left a hole in her chest. As a Jedi Master, she wanted Eisa to step away from several weeks. Mourn, recollect her thoughts, overcome. But as a rebel? She knew the Alliance couldn’t afford to lose her as their activity peaked. Even then, maybe it was better for her. Something to keep her mind away from the grief. After all, that was how Leah escaped hers.

With a single glance to Greybok, she cleared her throat. Behind her, a projection of Endor appeared. Skipping the pleasantries and introductions, Leah dived straight into business. “Star Squadron.” She began, an indication that the briefing had commenced. “Although little is known about the Moddell sector, we have reason to believe the systems there are strategically vital to the war effort. However, Rebel intelligence has uncovered strange activity by none other than the Czerka Corporation. Several reports indicate an ongoing slaughter and enslavement of the native inhabitants. It is important that we stop Czerka in their tracks and clear them from the sector to establish our own presence there. Well out of reach from the Empire.

With the wave of her hand a click, the projection shifted into the targets. “The first mission requires all of you. A landing platform must be taken from Czerka hunters on the forest moon of Endor, but it is heavily defended. Of course, I’m sure all of you already understand the risks.” She skipped to the others. “Afterward, several of you will be dispatched to scout the neighboring Monsua Nebula for a potential, future base of operations. Another pair will target a Czerka slaving freighter on Quina, and another will take down a Czerka communications array back on Endor.” The projector continued to shift until landing on an unusual astronomical object within the Endor system.

Last but not least, when remaining Czerka forces are alerted of our presence, Rebel Intelligence believes they will mass at their rendezvous, Endor’s Gate, to retreat and call for reinforcements. All of you will be dispatched to ensure they do not escape and ensure our arrival remains a secret.” By a final click, she winded down to the briefing’s conclusion. Tucking her datapad back under her arm, she stepped back to allow Greybok to speak. “Anything more to add, Commander Greybok?” She managed the tiniest smile. To be frank, she was not used to his new title, but she welcomed it.

Greybok nodded respectfully to Leah and stepped forward to address the briefing. His head was still spinning from Mig's earlier hug and he had heard Twobee squawk when she was similarly embraced. Usually, Grey would have retorted, but this was official business and he quickly fell into Commander-mode. Already he noted that there were several squadron members who were late to the briefing, but he could not hold up any longer. There was much to address and not much time to address it. He began to speak loudly in Shyriiwook and Twobee dutifully translated.

"Greybok wishes to add that he knows this mission is... controversial with the Alliance Council, however, the mission will serve as a sort of on-the-job training for all of you." The protocol droid explained. "Star Squadron was formed out of the Council's desire to form space-worthy combat squadrons capable of taking on the Sith Empire when the time comes to fully engage." Twobee could no longer resist adding her own flair to the translation and interjected. "Though, why they would send you miscreants is beyond me." Then she resumed translating for Greybok (after a few sharp and angry barks). "Some of you are pilots. Many of you are not. This mission will secure space—albeit virtually worthless space—for the Alliance to base itself and operate, but, the main goal of the mission is to train all of you as pilots and as teammates. To that end, you will fly several missions as a full squadron and you will also each have missions you will embark on as pairs to promote squadron cohesiveness."

Reluctantly, Greybok turned to Twobee and gestured to the droid, uttering only a few short barks. This, apparently, was indication for the droid to introduce herself. "Ah, yes," she continued. "I am 2B-83, formerly Imperial human-cyborg relations and formerly a head attached to this flea-trap." Greybok snapped at her with a sharp warning. "Alright, alright, fine. I'll stick to the briefing." She turned back to the group. "I was refurbished by the command of the Council to serve as your military protocol droid and quartermaster. It will be my job to handle assigning each of you one of the missions Mistress Leah has just outlined, as well as handle any requisitions and other administrative duties." The droid turned and tapped a button along the side of the holo-projector, which brought up the images of eight Malla-class starfighters. "I will also be assigning you your starfighters. Many of you also fly freighters. I have them logged, but they will only be used for missions that require their unique specifications. You will find that your starfighter assignments have already been transmitted to your datapads."

The images of the starfighters dissolved and Greybok again began to speak in his Wookiee tongue. Twobee translated, "Greybok asks that if there are any questions, concerns, or comments, they be made now." But, once again, she just couldn't stop herself. "Though, if I were any of you, the first question I would ask is how fast I could be transferred out of this flea-bag's command. Honestly, it's only a matter of time before his antics get all of you blown to smithereens."

Aurelian turned as he heard another enter the training facility. He turned to see Alys and smiled at the young woman as she arrived. When she introduced herself his smile slipped to be replaced with an expression shock. Alysanne, Alys, was a Drast? As in the Drasts? Rulers of the Sith Drasts? Those Drasts. He blinked a few times in disbelief before giving his head a slight shake. He wouldn’t mind asking her about just how a member of the infamous Drast Dynasty became a rebel but he knew she was one of them, their time on Eriadu was enough alone to convince him what kind of person she was. Her discovery of Naboo was proof of her commitment to the Alliance. His smile returned, with warmth, and he nodded. “Alys.” he greeted.

The next person to arrive was a Gotal, the same one he’d seen in the Cantina previous in this very base, at the time of that terrible Holonet broadcast. He give the new arrival a nod but he wasn’t sure if he even noticed so preoccupied he was with hugging their Commander and then the droid.

Then came his partner, his friend and practically his sibling. Aurelian grinned at Ner’Giza as she arrived. Once she fell into line beside them he leant over. “Hi Nera.” he said softly, they hadn’t hung out in a little while. Turning his expression to the Astromech he nodded. “How are you Ninety-Nine? This is Fives.” he told the droid with a wave to his new Astromech. The two began beeping at each other, Ninety-Nine with some initially jealous grouching which Fives responded to with a stream of curses and insults. The two blurped and bleeped before swiftly, seemingly, becoming friends. It seemed cantankerous droids got along with one another fairly swiftly.

The next person to arrive caused Aurelian’s smile to vanish altogether. Sympathy rippled through his chest, like a vice clamping at his heart and the Padawan watched as she arrived. He didn’t know Eisa very well but he had been their when the Holonet feed had shown what the Imperial did to her father. He didn’t believe she should be here, she should be given time to recover and get over what had happened. Surely the Alliance could spare a 16 year old girl in mourning a few months to herself. This was only reinforced by the small amount of Jedi Teachings he’d undergone so far, someone without sure emotional balance could be a danger to those around them but it was the danger the girl might be to herself that Aurelian feared.

‘Well if she is going to be here then the rest of us will just have to look out for her.’ he thought to himself. Giving her a small smile he nodded in her direction.

The last to arrive was Leah who Aurelian nodded respectfully to. He knew of the woman, he knew she stood high in the Galactic Alliance and on the Council which led them. Although the scholar didn’t know much about the Council except for Leah’s presence and the Commander’s. He wondered if his Master sat upon it as well. He would have to ask her at some point. With her arrival Aurelian took a seat near Eisa.

Aurelian sat quietly and listened as Leah began her briefing. The man frowned slightly having never heard of the Moddell Sector before. He had however heard of the Czerka Corporation. How a business that was so unethical and openly immoral could survive as long as it did was utterly unknowable to the man. Ridding a sector, any sector, of their presence was a worthy cause even without the consideration of how much the Alliance would benefit from the intervention.

As the briefing was handed over to the Commander Aurelian focused on the Wookie. It became obvious that the droid was going to be the translator. It also soon became obvious that the Droid was all too willing to take liberties while fulfilling her translations. This was why while he believed not wiping an astromechs memory could be useful the protocol droids should be kept to their factory settings. A grumpy profanity filled bleeping fit while conducting repairs could be far less disastrous than a translator deciding to put their own spin on its owners words.

Aurelian glanced away at the mention of their Starfighter assignments. Maybe he’d taken too many early liberties with his ship since getting his hands on it. Well at least he’d be familiar with the craft.

He did find it interesting that Leah was referred to as Mistress Leah. It hadn’t occurred to him before, probably due to his lack of a military mind-set, but the woman didn’t have a rank. He wondered why. There was one theory but, well, now wasn’t the place to ask about it.

Despite his nervousness over everything Aurelian couldn’t help but grin ”Thanks for the vote of confidence Twobee.” he joked before pausing and adding. ”Uhh... so the mission itself is our training?”

On the job training sounded a little drastic for starship combat in fighters that didn’t even have shield units. Still if that’s what it was to be then very well, as they said back on Orron III mamma didn’t raise no quitter. Well, at least, that's what others had said. Still the sentiment was close enough.

‘I'm really glad I stuck that booster on now.’

Alys wasn't really surprised by the initial shock she saw on Aurelian's face on hearing her name, she was used to that reaction, it was how he acted after that initial shock faded and he actually had time to actually process the information that really mattered. And the wamr smile he greeted her with was all she could have hoped for. Smiling back with a similarly warm smile, she nodded gratefully.

That was when others started showing up, good old Mig, Nera, Eisa, all who she had worked with or knew in one way or another. Grey had done one hell of a job gathering this group, and in that moment she felt a certain something that let her know that great things waited in their future. She wasn't sure if it was just a gut feeling, or the Force whispering to her, but it didn't really matter. She was going to give her all for this group and make sure they did reach the greatness they deserved. If for no other reason than the simple fact that they were nice people who would even accept someone like her.

As Master Leah arrived and the briefing began, she went and found an empty seat to slip into, taking note of Eisa and wondering if there was something that she or any of them could do to cheer her up. Or at the very least take her mind off of...recent events. But sometimes people just needed some space, and she didn't know the mechanic well enough to know what she really needed. So she decided to keep her distance for now, but that didn't mean she didn't want to help. So she reached into her pockets and pulled out a piece of candy and tapping oh so slightly into the Force, made it float gently along the floor till it reached the seat Eisa was sitting on and made it jump up to the seat before slowly and carefully slipping it into one of her pockets. She would eventually find it, maybe today, maybe tomorrow, maybe a month from now. But in her personal experience almost everyone liked candy, and unexpectedly finding some always put a smile on her face. Maybe it would cheer Eisa up as well, even if only for a brief moment.

By then the briefing had moved on by quite a bit, and Twobee was talking about their new ships and what their goals were going forward. Hearing Twobee's comments at the end, Alys couldn't help herself and spoke up almost at once. "Now why would we want you transferred out of Grey's command? Imagine all the time we will spend together, all the fun we will have." A perfectly innocent smile had creeped onto her face by then. "And you'll be of such help to us now that you have your body back, perfect for target practice." She glanced towards Grey as she continued speaking. "Remember Coruscant, all those droids moved around so much that I couldn't hit any of them, what I needed was a moving target to practice on. You really know just what the squadron needs." With that she would pull out another candy from her pocket and begin unwrapping it, ignoring everyone else, and specially Twobee, as she feigned interest in the candy.

It had been a while, and Hoth certainly wasn’t much like Naboo. Even so, she felt more at ease here in the subterranean ice base than she had beneath the waters of Lake Paonga. ”Hey Aurel”, she whispered back with a grin. Their ‘captivity’ by the Gungan seemed like a grand vacation to her now; the partner’s having been detained by the council after having made first contact until the conclusion of the negotiations. With a two guard escort they had the free run of Otah Gunga while those charged with diplomacy sealed the terms of agreement. So much had happened since that time and she was eager to catch up with him.

Her eyes went briefly to Aly with the light of warmth in her gaze. Having missed the reveal about her surname Nera’s opinion of the woman, whom she and Aurel had worked beside on Eriadu, was the same as ever. That is to say she found her to be remarkable for a variety of reasons, not least among those was a life that had moved her to become so dedicated at such a young age. The young woman’s history was unknown to her but she well remembered her own journey at that same age and knew how hard it was to find purpose. Looking around the room she knew that each of those gathered here shared that in common and it only added to her growing sense of hope in the rebellion.

While the two droids sorted out the pecking order in their new relationship, she noted the expression change upon his face. Miss Swan’s voice as she reported in drew her gaze to the teen and her heart went out to her. Only a Gotal could fail to empathize. It took remarkable strength to carry on after such a loss and it didn’t surprise her that Aurel moved to take up a seat next to her when the briefing was about to begin. Both she and this man she called family had lost their parents but whereas his heart was strong enough to give support by even such a small gesture as silent companionship, Nera was prone to hiding from the expression of such things behind humor and avoidance.

Silently she would drop down into a seat upon his other side just before Leah began to address the Squadron. Giving her full attention to the proceedings, performing her duty; that was about all she could manage. By no means a strategist, the outline of the plan seemed well thought out and she nodded her head as the major phases were laid out before her.

When Commander Greybok was given the floor she was introduced for the first time to the personality that was Twobee. The droid’s manner seemed to take a bit of the edge off of her nerves, though she had to wonder if every reject droid in the galaxy naturally found its way to the Alliance. From time to time she glanced down at her data pad following along by pulling up the specification on the new ship. Immediately she blinked seeing there was no astromech droid socket and glaced hurriedly to 99. He was going to be so ticked off! The Nameless Mother alone would know what shape the Tempest would be in with him left alone to scrawl out his droid-rage on the hull of her ship.

Remaining silent as the others asked their questions, Aly even taunting Twobee unmercifully, she thought it best to just stay quiet and not tick off the quartermaster. Already she had been the victim of faulty equipment on a couple of missions and she didn’t feel much like tempting Fate.

Silently, the fiery haired teen sat as the mission briefing commenced, almost a few moments after Commander Reach had entered the briefing chamber, cleared her throat and pretty much went straight into the objectives that the newly formed squadron were in turn to complete. Her thoughts lingering over the whole reason for the rebellions focus in and around the lesser known Modell system, as far as she could recall from her space faring days the system was a developing one at best. But as the woman continued to address the gathered members of the fighter wing, it became clearer as to the reason why.

Whilst the system was still a developing one of little galactic importance, it was being exploited by the Czerka coropation. Who sought to enslave and generally decimate the local populace for thier own gain and influence. He teens stomach turning in knots at the notion, as much as she now loathed the Empire an almost equal level of contempt was held towards those who benefited and often were sanctioned to carry out such acts.

Slowly the teen concentrated on her breathing, making sure to try and regain her composure. Having since became all too aware from the Jedi master infront of her, that in the wake of her witnessing the death of her father in such a horrendous and tragic way. Her emotional state had unknowingly sent shockwaves withing the Force that had been felt by Leah, despite having since had some brief training on how to keep her mind and emotions centered - Eisa still had a ways to go till she could reach that level of control that the Jedi master was soon to expect.

The teens attention soon moved over towards Greybok and Twob's As they picked up on the remainder of the mission briefing. As to be expected from the pair, well mostly the droid at least, the Wookiees words were being embellished with the protocol droids... Colourful enhancements. Remaining focused on what was being displayed and conveyed to the assembled squadron, the teen reached down for her holopad, as soon as the restored droid made mention that the specifications of their ship's and details of their flight plans and missions had already been transmitted to each of the newly recruited pilots

Looking down at the holopad, the teen visually confirmed the claim that all necessary information had been received, before returning her gaze back to the commanders standing at the front of the chamber, as the floor was opened up for any clarifications or questions. "I have nothing to raise" Eisa spoke out, her voice stoic and lacking the usual cheerful tone that she had became known for. Slowly she raised up from her seat, she nodded to the commanders with a faint but somewhat forced smile, before moving to dismiss herself and leave the briefing room.

It seemed now that the briefing was complete, all the necessary information had been conveyed. And with that in mind the teen would return to her quarters, and continue to come to terms with her grief. Completely unaware that a small gesture had been concealed on her person by Alys. It won't likely be until she had later returned to her quarters and stripped out of her clothing, that she would discover the mysterious piece of candy. But until that point in day would come, the fiery haired teen would return to learning to control and center herself, whilst listening to tge whispered guidance of the still unknown disembodied voice that had first made itself known on Kashyyyk.

Mig listened closely to his Wookiee friend but would watch Twobee with curiosity. The droid had a body and seemed sassy, but at least was willing to help still. He wondered how that droid worked. Maybe he'd take it apart later. That sounded like a ton of fun to Mig. Twobee would hate it and try so hard to escape. Maybe that was more trouble than the Gotal needed at the moment.

The briefing was simple and Mig was excited to help. There was not a single concern he could come up with at that moment. The Gotal Engineer would happily maintain and fly whatever ship the Alliance had if it meant making friends. He had an eye on a special ship though and might try for that with time. These fighters looked nice though and Mig wondered which one was his. For now though as they seemed to be dismissed, he followed Eisa out of the room.

"See you soon, friend!"
He shouted to the red head as he went back to take a nap before the missions.

Omnis' appointment to Star Squadron had been very sudden, just as was the notification of the mission briefing for their first operation. He only barely managed to make the appointment on time, taking a seat at the back of the room and trying to not let his heavy breathing from the mad dash interrupt the flow of information. This was just what the young man hoped, to be part of one of the most active forces of the Galactic Alliance. His drive to help people had carried him through all the previous operations he'd been a part of, though he treasured all the friends he had made during those times. A few of them were even here, like Alysanne and Mig, and he was glad to be among them once again. He'd also just been given an upgraded ship, a HX5-Starlightning bomber. With how bombastic he knew he could be, he figured it was a good fit for him and his particular skillset.

As Leah went over the mission, Omnis paid as rapt attention as possible. As far as things went, it was a good way to test their skills while also learn to work together as a cohesive unit. And they'd be doing some good against a heinous company like Czerka. Looking over the data, he realized that his earning of a bomber would be very helpful to some of the objectives. As for any questions, he shook his head to show he didn't have any questions. He wondered who he would be working with, when it came time to divide and conquer. Maybe he'd be able to work with Alysanne or Mig again. They made such a great team last time, he foresaw only great and successful and only moderately explosive things in the future.

"Target practice? Me?" Twobee sounded at once offended and worried. Greybok just chuckled to himself. This squadron was likely not the well-ordered, military disciplined squadron that the Imperial Navy was used to operating, but they certainly did fit with him. They were crazy. Some of them were flat out dumb. But they had heart, and it was heart that the rebellion needed.

He barked a series of orders to Twobee who was still flustered by Alys's comments. The droid took a moment to regain her composure (if she had any to begin with), then reluctantly translated. "Without further ado, Greybok is calling this first meeting of Star Squadron to a close. I have assigned each of you your missions. Please review them on your datapads." Greybok howled a few more times and Twobee signed, clearly unhappy with her station in life, but resigned to her fate nonetheless. "We are adjourned."
