Alright, soldiers. I don't want to be doing all the talking all the time. I want some input from my troops on the ground. Any suggestions or thoughts on current missions are much appreciated, clear?

This may just be because I had a Senate character who got killed, but I would really really really like to do something to pay the Hutts back for the ridiculous Senate assassination mega speaker death ray fiasco. Specific ideas elude me as of right now, but something on a grand scale that inflicts major casualties should try to be worked out I think.

I'm game for Care Package, that sounds like great fun, and the jungly one is also right down Spectre's street.

Gar has no astrogation/piloting experience aside from what could reasonably be expected to have learned during various military training camps, so I'm not sure if that rules me out of the slavery op, but I would like to find a way to do it if possible.

Ditto for care package and the new recon mission; close quarters silent killing is definitely on of Gar's strong suits.

Also, it strikes me that since Gar is foul mouthed and covered in tattooes- hence making him on of the few members to not look like a Republic recruiters wet dream- he could be a good pick if we ever need face time with any Hutt forces. After all, I doubt the first assumption when laying eyes on a seven foot tall green brute covered in gang tattoos would be that he is a Republic soldier.

Is That an Army in Your Pocket looks like great fun. And a question. If the Republic is going through the trouble to drop S.O.L.A.G operatives on a Hutt controlled planet, why not have some sabotage?

Alright, before we jump into combat, I figured it would be fun to do a bit of an introductory thread; I know a few of you have already roleplayed together previously, but for those who haven't (including myself), it would be great to get to know each others' writing styles and perhaps set up a few side-plots for later (e.g. which character is allergic to what, who has a fear of what).

Also, if you've read the Q&A thread and noticed that it says the Apostasy holds 700 Commandos, that's a small white lie; it has the capacity, but there aren't currently 700 of you. More like 60 or so (mostly roleplayed, of course). Feel free to roleplay an NPC commando if you'd like, but don't worry about creating too deep of a backstory unless you'd really like to.

Just a quick note: due to upcoming unforseen events, we won't be staging any published missions quite yet. A couple of us have a surprise cooking up for the forums, and I'm proud to say that the Commandos are involved. I'll let you guys in on it when the plan is more concrete, but only if you promise to sit tight for a bit and not get bored! :P

I also might end Overture prematurely as a result. But trust me, we'll see some serious action soon.
