Blue Aurora was an asteroid station located in the Outer Rim, tucked in between Hutt Space and ISC space, catering to guests from both and beyond for anyone who wanted a pretty good time. If they had a great time? Even better.

The establishment offered an escape for those wanting or needing; the rich and the bored wanting a ten-stage spa, a winning at Pazaak or Sabaac without actually needing to win; the nervous and the poor who needed to win or a place to lay low while the law chased them elsewhere.

For one Mandalorian it was a place to find one more. Bra’kan Trago was a self-proclaimed descendent of a stalwart line of Mandalorian Protectors all the way from Concord Dawn. If he was as honest as a Mandalorian ought to be then he would prove to be a valuable asset for both Kotii Solus and Srucayr Naskar and the Mandalorians overall.

Finding him would not be easy, however; he was more poor than nervous and all for laying low. Cas figured her best option was to hit up a local cantina that was as much a casino, and more or less of the former or latter depending on what you were here for.

The Crasagio sounded fancy enough and didn’t much care if you were wearing fancy clothes or not. As long as you could pay your way, either a slot machine or high stakes, low shelf or top shelf booze, well, you were a set bet and come on in.

Cas went straight for the bar, gauging her movements with a glass of vodka. It would be a miracle if someone singled her out for a Mandalorian. She was attired in green cargo pants and a grey vest, arms bared and with a red poncho and no helmet. It would take a vod to identify the golden sun brooch as the sigil of Clan Praxor. Trago, I hope...

Soma Stargazer was looking for a good place to wind back. She was chasing a story but seems to her the story got away. It happens sometimes and you just gotta bite the bullet and take the loss like a champ. The reporter found an asteroid station on her voyage and decided it would be a good place to rest. She landed in the hangar and left her T-6 Shuttle known as the Shooting Star and made her way to the bar.

When she arrived wearing a short dress she noticed that not everyone was dressed up. She didn't expect the lot of them to be dressed up but it would have been helpful. She ignored the cat-calling from some of the intoxicated men and arrived at the bar. Without skipping a beat she immediately asked for a Bailey's before sitting.

Then she noticed... there was woman sitting next to her dressed in.. well they were clothes. Soma then smiled as she extended her hand to introduce herself.

"Hello, I'm Soma, Soma Stargazer. And who might you be?"

The vodka tasted strong and smooth, nice and neat, cold and crisp, and each word proving the quality one sip after the other. Ah what the hell. Cas relented as she knocked back what was left and set the empty glass on the counter. She opened her mouth to speak when someone did so for her.

The other woman looked fancy enough, far fancier than the Mandalorian did who did not look like a Mandalorian and just looked like some random traveler. Soma Stargazer… The name wasn’t ringing any bells. More than likely this chick in a black dress was just some typical partygoer who was not shy about making new friends.

“Cas.”
Cas introduced herself simply. “Hey, bartender!” Fingers tap the counter. “Another vodka.” She turned back toward Soma to spot her drink and was glad that it wasn’t her own.

"Never been partial to cream liqueur. A little too...creamy...for my tastes.” She shrugged. “So, you here for the drinks or the cards?” Cas definitely wasn't here to make friends or small-talk but there was no harm in at least the latter.

"Well actually, just passing through. The drink is the bonus. I was chasing something for my career but lost it, no thanks to my piloting."

Soma was sitting at this point with a straw looping to her mouth from the glass presented to her. The gal she was speaking with looked a little rough around the edges, could definitely use a makeover. The young reporter would lean onto the bar as she smiled and asked the woman what she was here for.

"What about you? I don't see any cards so it must be the drinks am I right?" A giggle came out as she finished. Then she would continue,

"So are you like a construction worker, or do you do plumbing, like what's your whole shtick?"

Soma gave a look of sincere curiosity as the outfit this woman went with was just not a vibe at all. The colors didn't even blend together. She could use professional help for sure.

So, Black Dress wasn’t a great pilot? Who’d have put it past her… The other brunette sure seemed to be one of those gals who let someone else do the piloting for her but oh well whatever.

Con...struction...worker? Cas did a double-take of herself. Was whatever she was wearing particularly indicative of a construction worker or a plumber for that matter? True, no Mandalorian woman should sport any other build but a toned and muscled one, and she showed as much in her bare arms and then some, but… Construction worker? Plumber?

“I…” For a moment she had no idea what to respond with, totally taken off guard. Then she recalled what Soma had said about cards. Well, not what she had said so much as the giggle that had followed. So Cas followed suit.

“Nah…”
She chuckled. “Not a plumber or construction worker, nope.” Another sip. “Well...I guess I am a kind of mechanic, though.” Mandalorian bounty hunter? Sure, that had a kind of ‘mechanic’ ring to it. “I get paid to...fix things.” Another sip.

“So, what were you chasing?” Cas’ eyes sought Somas’.

Not a plumber, or construction worker? Weird Soma was usually good at guessing what jobs guys did, guess girls are a totally different spectrum. Well then what could she be? There's tons of jobs in the galaxy, then the woman answered saying 'mechanic' and Soma smiled at the thought. She has met mechanics before but never a woman. This was interesting.

"Fix things huh? If only you could've fixed my ability to fly through asteroids."

Then the woman asked what Soma was chasing. So of course the reporter would answer.

"Well I was chasing this guy that is supposedly linked to a story on a possible heist, but I lost him. I was going to follow to the place of which they hideout and snap some photos for The Galactic Gazette.. I'm a reporter and the story is everything in my profession."

Soma took a large slurp out of her straw, then letting out an alcohol induced hiccup she smiled and leaned her head on her palm with her elbow on the counter. Her eye's met with that of the woman who called herself Cas. The night was still young even though in space it's hard to tell when night is exactly. She figured there something fun to do here.

"So Cas, do know of any fun things that a mechanic and a reporter can do?"

Usually when women like Cas spoke the words “I was chasing this guy” that meant she was after his body, either to get frisky with it or to tie it up. That did not necessarily mean the same thing. What it further did not mean was that she was terribly interested in whatever story said guy would give her. That was a job for reporters.

Nice. Cas smiled. It wasn’t every day that she spoke to a journalist of any kind. She certainly had no story to offer this woman, possible heist or not, but this could prove amusing. More than amusing. The mechanic took a hearty swig and thought some more. Bet she has some resources that I don’t. The kind that can get me a guy and give her a story.

“Well…” She looked behind them both toward the casino. “Fancy a game of Pazaak or Sabaac? I know of a table that’s soon to open up and give me the lead I need. I’m...looking for someone. Someone like you might be all the help I need to find them and you’ll get a good story out of it. Interested?”

Sabaac, Pazaak? She hadn’t played these games. All she knew is that they usually led to gambles. Could be fun though. And the woman seemed nice enough. Hanging out playin some card games couldn’t hurt. So why not? There was nothing keeping her from playing and nobody saying not to, so she would agree,

“You know what? Why not? Yea, I really need something to do now that I don’t have my story. This new one sounds promising. Just hope it’s as juicy as you led on.”

A giggle came out from behind her smile as she finished her drink and left a couple credits to pay for it. Then looking to the woman named Cas and smiling. This woman had potential to be a really pretty girl, it just looks like she doesn’t try to even look presentable. Hair a mess, low class clothes. Then Soma had the greatest idea. At least to her it was the greatest, to Cas? Maybe not.

“I’ll learn how to play these games if you come with me for a makeover. Cause girl.. this isn’t it.”

A hand gesture came from Soma, gesturing... all.. of Cas.

Cas nodded in delight as her newfound friend elected to accompany her. “Oh it’s...juicy.” The comment came with a shot of vodka that was juicy in a whole other way. Feeling a healthy buzz by now, nothing inhibiting, she paid the tab beside Soma and moved to make a move toward the casino.

Then Soma caught her completely off guard with her own comment. “Uhhh…” Cas cleared her throat. This shouldn’t have been an awkward moment. It definitely wasn’t a touchy subject and being self-conscious of her appearance generally took a backseat to simply appearing conscious. “...It isn’t?”

The woman brushed hair behind an ear, straightened her poncho, stole a glimpse at her boots. I don’t get it. What’s wrong with what I’m wearing? Does she just mean my face? No but Soma had clearly gestured toward all of Cas. Kark what have I gotten myself into now?

“Eh…” Sighing, she relented. “Fine...but don’t get juicy with the makeup. I don’t wanna come out of...wherever...looking like a clown.” Where did people go for makeovers anyway? “Come to think of it, a change of gears in appearance might help us at the card table, so there’s that.” Makeover first, wasn't it?

Soma giggled at Cas' reaction of confusion. She clearly thought ponchos were cute. In some cases they can be. In this case though definitely not. It was an easy fix. Soma had the perfect dress and makeup supplies to make Cas stunning. This was going to be like a girls night, it was so exciting Soma clapped her hands in excitement with a bright smile.

"You will look great I promise, I have my ship docked right outside this place it's that T-6 over there, the Shooting Star isn't she a beauty?"

Soma pointed to her black and lavender colored ship. It had enough room to hold all the supplies she would need to look amazing on the fly. This wouldn't be a problem helping Cas. Maybe for the first time in... ever this woman would look like a WOMAN.

"Just have to trust me, and it'll totally help with getting the guys' attention."

She would let that statement go with a wink to Cas. Soma was assuming Cas was into men only due to it being common. She would then realize that LGBTQ is pretty big these days and then whip her around to make eye contact with Cas as she would quickly and clearly begin to tell the woman,

"OR WOMEN! Equal opportunity!"

Cas had her doubts about her counterpart’s promise but her ship sounded promising. It was aptly named; the T-6 looked like a shooting star with its curved wings and small profile. She knows how to name her boats, I’ll give her that much. The black and lavender reminded her of...someone else.

At the promise of opportunity for attracting the desired sex, Cas smiled back. She offered a look of confidence that did not rely on outfits or makeup to back it up. “Guys is the way I go, gal. And if your way helps me attract attention at the card table then I’m game.”

She rubbed her thumb between forefinger and middle finger, emoting the touch of credit chips and card chips both; though there was much more at stake than winning that game. “Lead the way. My makeover awaits.” By the stars I better not regret this or you will.

Giggling with a sigh of relief, Soma had felt a weight lift off of her chest as Cas would answer with her preferred attractions. Nothing was going to make Soma feel better other than the lighthearted answer she had received. Soma herself did prefer the male species in the sense they were easy to manipulate. Girls had they're benefits and she wasn't opposed, but there was just that extra somethin that men offered.

"Okay good! I got scarred for a second that you would be upset. Thankfully you're not."

The young woman then began walking to the Shooting Star for the makeover. She simply turned and smiled as Cas had told her to lead the way. It was finally time. When they arrived the ramp to enter had lowered and Soma led the way in.

"Well it's not a lot but I have the perfect clothes for you!" She began searching for the set as she would swipe through the racks, "No, no, no, no... maybe?.. no. Oh here we go!" Soma had the dress pulled out for Cas to see. "What do you think? Too fab? Not fab enough?"

Soma had excited but also slightly hopeful eyes set on Cas as she awaited the response.

Cas stood back, a bit taken aback, letting her would-be ward take over the wardrobe and holding her breath that whatever Soma picked would not lead to suicide. Dresses were so...so...in the way? Try to fight in a gown, see how long that lasts. Let a skirt ride up your legs and get a nasty gash to an exposed leg. Dresses are for amateurs...

Cas was no amateur. Pants played their part more than any woman would wager if they did not lead the kind of life that this Mandalorian did. Who had time for dresses and skirts when such a woman was busy riding her whipcord around the legs of di’kuts dumb enough to get caught?

“That’s…”
Cas winced as the dress came out. “...Not going on my body…" On a dead body, maybe, but not mine.

Next dress. Nope. Next dress? Nope. Next dress… No— “Wait wait wait lemme see that”

Cas looked up, looked down, nodded at the embroidery, mm’hmm’d at the color. “Okay what the hell I'll try it on and shut your mouth or I’m walking out.”

With that, the Mandalorian woman got changed behind closed doors and walked out. “Well?”

She pulled on the fringes of the dress. It looked better than it felt, all things considered. Clearly, Cas was not used to dressing in a dress. But the color...as red as my beskar…and the embellishment...just like the suns of my clan…

“What do you think?”

Soma was shocked at the response she had received. It was a great dress but okay. It took a few more tries before there was a stop. Soma stared at the choice and then turned to the woman as she put on a worried smile. Handing the woman the dress she would have said something but the snap from Cas had really said it all.

Looked like the woman was finally letting loose as she put on the dress that Soma rarely used. It was mostly just for hiding in plain sight but it worked for the woman. At least it wasn't a poncho. It fit her too. Actually it suited her. Soma was happy to get the woman into something more presentable. Now Cas asked how she looked.

"You look like you just went to a picnic with your husband of 6 years if I am honest. It suits you though! Like mama vibes."

Soma loved it! And after taking just a little time to touch up the woman's face with some makeup the reporter would then spin her around to face, what Soma called, 'the showcase mirror.'

"Don't you love it?"

Soma wouldn't care what the answer was as she would begin to grab Cas' hand and lead her out of the ship into the view of the public. It was a good feeling to be pretty at least to Soma, it would be an adjustment for Cas.

"Maybe now someone special will come along because you look a million times better!"
