BIOGRAPHY
Athei was born in 121 ABY on his homeworld of Corellia. His father worked in a docking bay of the spaceport as a ship mechanic, helping to service the ships that landed there when it was requested. When Athei was not working on his formal education, he would join his father at work to assist in any way that he could. Nothing fascinated Athei more than ships and the technology behind them. He wanted to know everything about them that there was to know. How to build them, how to work them, and how to fix them. Luckily, his father wasn't stingy with that knowledge. Athei would accompany him onto the ships he was allowed to be on in order to learn the tricks of the trade. It wasn't long before Athei was trusted with some of the more basic tasks with little supervision. Fixing doors, basic sensors, lighting issues, and anything else that wasn't super essential to the ships' functioning. That eventually lead to him officially becoming an apprentice of his father's so that he could learn to become proficient on his own.

Athei's father just thought that his son possessed nothing more than an aptitude for technology and mechanics, but there was something more to it than that. As Athei got older, he started to notice that he could do things that some of the other workers couldn't if he just focused on the task. It wasn't usually anything more than a plate or fixing being held in place if he seemingly just willed it to do so even if he had yet to fasten it. Other times a screw or bolt would come undone for him even when everyone else had used all their might to try to get it loosened but failed. Athei thought it was because he was just good at it and that maybe he just had that special touch for the work. He felt at peace doing the work because it was interesting to him. A problem didn't usually equal frustration and instead was a challenge to confront, a puzzle to be solved.

One day a transport landed in the hanger Athei found himself working in. Athei wasn't more than a teenager, but he had become so good at his job that he was no longer working on his father as an apprentice of the trade. The transport was seemingly normal, just a run of the mill passenger ship that brought with it a few people coming to Corellia for a galaxy full of reasons. A few of the compartments had reported some issues with not being able to access their quarters during the last leg of the journey just before landing on the planet. That task was assigned to Athei and he went right to work. Most of the passengers had already left to conduct their business, knowing they could come back to retrieve their things later as the ship was not due to depart for some time thanks to ongoing refitting to some of the critical systems. One decided to hang back though, even lurking in the area that Athei had started his work. Athei didn't think much of them. It appeared to be a Kel Dor male in simple robes. While the outfit was almost iconic for some, it was not something that stood out to Athei. He merely continued with his work as he usually did. For whatever reason, a few of the doors refused to respond to commands from the control panels even though everything seemed to be in working order. Power was flowing into the panels; the buttons were not stuck and made the audible chime to signal the door was being opened. The only issue was the doors stayed put. It was the kind of puzzle that Athei enjoyed the most. The ones where the solution was not placed right in front of him from the start.

Athei worked for hours in an attempt to get the doors to work but he could not figure it out. It was one of the few times that he actually started to grow annoyed and frustrated because things weren't going his way. Everything he knew to try, had already been done. Though, Athei usually found himself too stubborn to ask for help. He could have called over another worker to assist him but that just wasn't his "style". He wanted to solve it himself. The problem was that he couldn't work out his solution. It continued to anger him to the point where he just tried brute force to fix it. When he couldn't find out the proper way, he just tried hitting the panels a few times in hopes that would cause something to trip or trigger inside. Of course, it didn't work out that way. It may have even made things worse. It was at that point, the Kel Dor male decided to come over to him. At first it was just general interest in what the issue was. But then their conversation slowly turned into Kel Dor identifying himself and revealing why he had decided to stick around to watch Athei. He said he was Jedi Master Nolos Ralhera and that he could sense Athei was Force sensitive.

That eventually led to a conversation about who the Jedi were before eventually Athei and Master Ralhera spoke with his family about potentially going to train with the Order. At first, his family was reluctant to let Athei go. It was dangerous to leave your home planet for any reason. But especially so if he was going to go off with the Jedi so that he could train. It took some time and convincing but eventually they agreed to allow Athei to travel with Master Ralhera back to the Jedi homeworld for training.

Athei was made a Jedi Padawan learner and it was decided that his master would be the one who discovered him, Jedi Master Ralhera. Master Ralhera first focused on having Athei control his emotions. They had gotten the better of him on board the ship where he first met Master Ralhera. Athei felt proud to have been accepted as a member of the Order. He was also glad to have been able to stick with Master Ralhera. Master Ralhera would teach him that while all emotions did not have to be fully suppressed, he had to be careful of the ones that he fed. If he gave into the wrong ones, it could have led to a fall to the Dark Side. Athei followed his master's teachings faithfully. There was very little they disagreed on and the few times that did arise, it was something that were able to settle.

Now, in the year 148 ABY, Athei has since graduated to the rank of Jedi Knight. A position that he has held for the last five years. He has taken the path most commonly associated with Jedi Sentinels. Though, Athei is unsure of where he wishes to go next within the Order. He hopes that with time and meditation, the path before him will become clearer so that he can serve the Order and the Force in the best way possible.

Personality
Athei is a very focused young man. He finds himself at his best whenever he is confronting a problem. Especially a problem that has plagued others with no clear solution. As a result, Athei usually throws himself towards a challenge and allows it to consume his thoughts until he is certain of how to confront it. While he can work well with others, he generally feels he is best at handling things on his own. He thinks it is easier to work alone than explain his thoughts to someone else when that energy can be spent elsewhere. Athei finds himself alone more often than not, which is to his liking. Though, as he starts to mature, he is beginning to realize that the galaxy is full of issues that cannot be solved by one Jedi, no matter his determination or focus.
