Skills: With power forced upon her at a young age, Athena was at first forced to read before she couldn’t stop reading several volumes on History, to discover what a good emperor or empress should be. As a result, she is a very quick reader with high comprehension, and with much knowledge of the past, especially Perelandrea’s past. Being the Commander-In-Chief of the Perelandrean military, she made it a point to learn as much as she could about military tactics, and especially about hand-to-hand combat, as, being empress, her life was constantly threatened. Though not an expert, she did have a grasp on diplomacy, though she was a warrior at heart. She was an excellent shot and a fairly skilled melee combatant. Being empress, she usually had to deal with a fairly steady stream of suitors, as she was not wedded, with whom she became annoyed, though the patience and grace it taught her were priceless.
Lightsaber Forms: N/A
Strengths and Weaknesses: Athena was an Equine of strong will and integrity, who would do anything to give honor to the Perelandrean Dynasty of Demos and the honor of the Perelandrean royalty. Though she always had to be aware of the good of the whole of Perelandrea and the Republic, she tried her best to make it a point not to lose touch with the individual, though at times she did become somewhat lofty. Though she had a sense of humor, it was somewhat weak, not being able to have a true childhood as an empress. She was a hard and devoted worker, sometimes not sleeping for days if the matter was pressing enough. If torn between siding with the Republic or Perelandrea, she would side with Perelandrea.
Gear: She always carries a small hand slugthrower for defensive purposes, along with several small cases of slugs, some of which contain either poison or tranquilizer.
Ships: Evander
Pets: None.
Personality:
Athena is a calm, collective type out of necessity, she might lose her mind if she was at all high strung. She has trained herself to keep her cool in many pressing situations and to keep a clear mind at all times. In the little spare time she has, she enjoys to keep herself active, usually sparring using various weapons or none at all, or on the firing range. In the short periods between appointments she commonly reads either history or, when she can sneak it in, historical fiction. Though at first she was somewhat disturbed by the constant guards, she became used to it and became good friends with her literally constant companions. Though not technologically adept she did learn some rudimentary slicing. She is a horrible cook, always having had her meals prepared for her, as well as a poor housekeeper. Athena was trained to be a fairly good pilot, as well.
History:
As High Empress of Perelandrea of the Warrior Dynasty of Demos, crowned at a fairly young age, thirteen, because of the deaths of her parents Emperor Epimetheus the Wise and his wife, Acantha, due to assassination. The perpetrators and their ilk were later found and executed. Athena was given the best education money could buy, and was a fairly good student of learning. Years later, Athena became ore interested in the Republic and sought to be more active in it. Being of a Warrior Dynasty, she had a fighting in her veins, and aimed for and earned the title as the Minister of War of the Republic, before her term was up and she did not run for a second. When the Perelandrean senator Odys died, her political enemies sought to place one of their bent in his place, and, in an effort to fill the slot she became that one of Perelandrea’s senators. As a pro-military advocate, she felt the Republic needed a stronger voice in that area, however, she felt her duties as Empress were being shirked, and her guilt began to lead her down the road of possibly resigning as senator to return to her homeplanet of Perelandrea.
