DESCRIPTION​

The atlatl is a traditional Gungan weapon, usable as a throwing weapon for boomas or as a club. A trained Gungan soldier is able to throw a booma up to 50 meters away with that, but the optimal range is around 30 meters, at which the weapon is very precise. If the situation calls for it, it can be used to hit an opponent at melee range. The isolating wood it's made of will allow the wielder to not get damaged once the booma has exploded. This weapon isn't lightsaber resistant, and the damage it does in melee is actually done by the booma attached to it, so it does medium damage with an EMP effect and some burning too.

LEGALITY​

Illegal outside of the Gungan armed forces, despite being considered a traditional weapon.

INTENT​

To give the Gungans their traditional weapons, so they can at least try to defend themselves against the invaders!

ADVANCED TECH​

YES. Being a traditional weapon of the Gungans, it cannot be found anywhere outside of Gungan settlements on Naboo, and in the possession of Gungan Warriors. Gungans may start with this tech, but other species will be required to complete a 2-3 thread tech plot to obtain one.

Hello again, and this looks good - nice to see Gungan getting the love they truly deserve. Could you add a bit more about this items usability in combat please - just for ease, as I can see it being used in melee easily. Is it lightsaber resistant, if so, how? How does it hold up against light, medium and heavy armour, and of course what sort of damage can it dish out?

Alright, so, as this seems to be the equivalent of a pistol, I'm afraid range will have to be reduced to at most 50 meters.

Makes sense, given that its bigger sister, the cesta, can throw up to 120 meters
