Fall of Tiss’Sharl

toby-lewin-paint-351-iceland-02.jpg

The Tiss’Shar were a relatively peaceful reptilian people and some of the galaxies most savvy businessmen. Sadly, the Empire did not appreciate the business acumen of the Tiss’Shar. When forced to lower the prices of the best good and best services the Tiss’Shar refused. The Empire responded by enslaving the Tiss’Shar and turning Tiss’Sharl into a forced labor camp. The Tiss’Shar and all manner of Imperial enemies are forced to work in a bevy of camps for the good of the Empire. It is time to free the Tiss’Sharl. The Empire lords over Tiss’Sharl from a great dark citadel that overlooks mining pits. Within the citadel is a control station that houses the equipment for keeping the prisoners docile. Either storm the citadel and destroy the control station, or take your forces and free as many prisoners as possible. The slaves must be freed. The citadel must fall.

OOC Note: Skirmish PVP: NPCs are for flavor only.

Fingers drumming against the phrik bracer that covered the back of her forearm, Carys looked over the mining pits where the Tiss'Shar labored for the good of the Sith Empire. While she couldn't see them, she could feel their suffering and despair. Their cries of pain echoed through the force. The darkside was made stronger by their servitude. A cruel grin tugged at the corner of her mouth at the thought.

Standing at the entrance to the citadel, Carys waited. Scouts had confirmed that the Jedi had made landing and would swiftly be setting siege to the citadel. A buzz of excitement filled the Sith woman as she stood ready for battle, lightly armored with a mated pair of lightsabers riding her hips. Her eyes, flecked with gold, burned at the prospect of blood being spilt that day, though the other physical signs of her corruption in the force was covered well, pale makeup powdering her pallid face.

“Isn't it just delectable.” Speaking with a sigh of contentment into the commlink that graced her face, once again breathing in the suffering and despair that pervaded the slave pits. The darkside burned within her body as she pulled on it, drawing it into her and savoring the almost intoxicating surge of power that she felt as it swelled within her. Placing her hands on her hips, just above the hanging lightsabers, Carys extended her senses outwards, searching, seeking. Her presence within the force reeked of darkness and corruption, tinged with madness. "Today is going to be fun." A slight catch of excitement in her words.

Jakkar sighed frustratedly for what felt like the hundredth time, the little canvas he was using to draw on cast aside and gathering dust on the ground as his eyes fixated in the distance, trying to hide his frustration and keep a hold of his temper that threatened to flare up every once in a while with the lack of action that plagued his post.

He looked to his right, noting the sight of his fellow Sith stuck with him on this task. She was certainly a sight, with her burning eyes focused in the distance and her stance radiating excitement. He could feel it emanating off of her in waves, how she delighted in the suffering of the slaves, fed off their fear and despair they endured in this place. He felt it too, but he didn't understand how what she felt made her so ecstatic. When he had extended his senses and reached out for their feelings, it had only paid him back with the feeling of revulsion at their fear, cowards he had snarled to himself, only fate fit for them was death...

But he had kept quiet, up until this moment. She had spoken right as he had averted his gaze, “Isn't it just delectable.” He begged to differ, but he kept his mouth shut and listened. At least it would give him something other to focus on as opposed to his failure of a canvas with paint splotches and how good it would feel to just stomp the canvas into the dirt, or maybe how far he could throw the concussive grenades (3) he'd swiped off of one of the sleeping soldiers.

"Today is going to be fun." She said, that he could agree on-

"If only our guests could arrive on time," He said, some amount of frustration leaking into his voice as his hand itched to grasp at the Lightsabers hanging loosely from the each sides of his hip.

Suffering of innocent souls beckoned for her help and they would have it. Soon hope would replace despair to stifle the darkness that oozed from this wretched place.

The heat of the day stirred in a stiff breeze, disturbing the typical Sith cloak that Claire wore. With the hood pulled up, it covered her Jedi Guardian armor and made for a perfect disguise. Claire had arrived early and encountered no trouble infiltrating the citadel, easily fooling the simple men that drifted restlessly through these lands like ghosts. And, of course, she took special care to suppress her aura in order to avoid attracting attention from the Sith.

Still at quite the distance, far enough that it shouldn't give her away, Claire sneaked towards the pair of Sith from behind. Fixating her eyes on the male one—the one that felt like a beacon of anger.

She wrapped her lithe fingers around her phrik lightsaber hilts, removing them from her belt while simultaneously reaching out with the Force. Using it in an attempt to push male Sith's feet out from under him. Not only should it be by surprise, but it was simple therefore quick, so she assumed he'd fall swiftly backwards onto the ground for a good clunk to the head. It was somewhat childish, but she had no doubts about doing it. If it didn't agitate the man further, well she'd be shocked.

"You're mine!" her voice boomed out loudly with the sound of her twin lightsabers igniting. Though the light blue of the beams were muted by the yellowness of the background, it was still an odd sight to see and gave away her allegiance.

Blending in had been easy. It didn't take much to meld with Sith, just a poorly tailored, dull black cloak and a facial expression of teenage brooding. Those that moved with determination were rarely questioned, the Jedi and the Sith were the same that way. It was the dawdlers who got lectures with the Jedi, the meek who got their lashings from the Sith. Both tortures of equal measure if you asked Sena.

The strongest, or at least the most ethereally vocal of the Sith was easy to find. There was something vile about the woman even from a distance; and if she wasn't the leader here Sena would at least enjoy silencing the screaming madness the Sith exuded from her heart. Sena's force aura was pulled in and minute as possible, her positioning would bringing her just inside Carys' peripheral vision.

Sena's movements would be in tandem with her ally Claire, reaching down with her right hand and wrapping it around the hilt of her lightsaber. The force built up in her left hand as she ignited her blade, doing so at the same time Claire sent her force attack towards the Sith man. Her blade ignited in a violent yellow flash. Sena would react to the Carys' movements as they came, although she had already begun to move closer towards her at a determined pace. Her intentions would be clear.

The sound of gunfire rose in the distance, the Jedi troops had arrived and begun their siege. Though they did not know it, their fight was inconsequential. The fate of Tiss'Sharl would be decided here.

The Jedi would not fail.

Two things happened at once that grabbed at Carys attention. She felt the force flare behind her, a push that was targeted at her ally in the defense of the citadel and the slave pits. A shout declaring that the painting Sith was the Jedi's, for she could only assume a Jedi would be so foolish as to sneak into a Sith fortress, target. More pressing to her attention was the Jedi who, bedecked in Sith garb, ignited a blazing yellow saber and began to walk towards Carys with intent in her eyes.

The darkside already swelling inside her had Carys aflame with emotion, and a piercing laugh burst forth from her lips. "You will fail today Jedi!" Her right hand grasping and igniting one of the lightsabers on her hip as she faced the Jedi, it's crimson blade and guard crackling to life as the word Jedi left her lips. Even as her hand grasped the hilt from her waist, her left rose slightly, hand open with a beckoning twitch.

The power of the darkside flowing through her, her mind focused on the Jedi's off hand lightsaber as she spoke, the hilt still attached at the waist to the Jedi's belt. The hilt would rip from its fastening, pommel first to fly towards Carys. As a parting gift, the pressure of her telekinetic grasp on the hilt would ignite the yellow blade, sending it ripping up through the Jedi's thigh and into her abdomen with the stench of burnt flesh and plasma as the hilt rotated for the pommel to face Carys.

If it wasn't for years of conditioning, Jakkar would consider himself dead to rights...

As soon as he felt the force knocking him off of his feet, he used its momentum to swing his whole body around, outstretching his hands to make sure they'd hit the ground first and landing on his feet with little to no problem, rising to his feet immediately and extending his lightsabers shortly after doing so.

He barely heard the voices shouting and the battle as he broke into a dash toward the woman that had attacked him with a growl rising from his throat. She was a Jedi of course, he'd known there would be Jedi sent here, that's the reason for their being stationed here. He would snarl in disgust if he wasn't so focused on closing the distance between the two of them.

He barely noticed the other Jedi engaging with his comrade, instead outstretching his right hand and unleashing a force push that would be enough to knock her to the ground, or if not, just temporarily daze her enough that his first lightsaber would strike at her right hand in an effort to disarm her in the literal sense, while the other would be kept close to his left side to defend against any counter she might launch.

Claire smirked as the male swung to change his landing. He fell into a better position than she could ever ask for. Hands flat on the ground, further away from his hilts than they would have been if he had fallen backwards.

The very second he hit the ground, she went through with the next part of her plan.

Her fingers twitched against the phrink of her lightsabers hilts as she used the Force for another simple but perfectly time move; she pulled one of the males lightsabers—the on the side closest to the female Sith. It would swiftly and violently ripped it from his belt, and ignite as it plummeted straight for not the male Sith but the back of the female Sith, since she had turned to face Sena. Unless some miracle occurred, she would feel it's warmth pierce through her back just as she began to pull the lightsaber from Sena's belt.

Being deceptive wasn't just for the Sith... this was the perfect example of that.

Right after, Claire readied herself for however Jakkar would react to her deception.
But there was no fear, no doubt in her mind.

The Jedi would be victorious today.

The force swirling around and inside of her put everything into Sena's acute perspective. The force heightened all of her senses, the feeling of adrenaline due to impending battle pumping through her veins like battery acid. She saw the saber move from the male Sith, a wry smile curling her lips as Sena continued moving forward.

It was then she felt the hilt on her own lightsaber begin to lift ever so slightly, she had become very accustomed to the feeling of it resting and bouncing off her thigh, and her brain made two rapid-fire decisions. The instinctual part of Sena's brain knew that it wasn't her toying around with the spare saber, and the minute movements of Carys' registered shortly after.

Releasing the force she had been building up, Sena opened her hand towards Carys and unleashed a powerful push that would strike the fem-Sith directly in the chest - consequently, this would also send her careening even faster into the saber now poised to pierce her through the middle of her back. It would likely severe her spine and kill her instantly.

The second choice Sena made was to swipe her active saber quickly and with little effort, slicing her other saber's hilt clean in half. She would catch the saber just as it began to move off her belt, before the blade would have ignited. She may have lost her second weapon, but Sena was okay with the trade of - hopefully - the Sith woman's life. Both actions would occur almost concurrently; somewhat awkward motions when combined but entirely controlled and necessary.

She continued walking forward, all of her attention and focus still on the Siths in front of her. She made no attempts to suddenly sprint into the fire, determination and poise taking the place of potentially swelling pride in the face of apparent quick success. She knew better than to underestimate any opponent. Sith did not get to their position by playing fairly, they did so with cunning guile and aces up their sleeve. The force was drawing into Sena again; she would be ready for what came next, regardless of what it was.

Tiss'Sharl would be liberated from its bondage very shortly.

As Carys reached out with a fraction of her power, of her concentration, she felt the light side stir before her and behind. The Jedi's hand raised towards her, the sickening power of the light coalescing around it, reaching out to grasp at Carys, to push her back even as she sensed the lightside turned to lethal intent behind her.

But the darkside was with her.

Releasing her hold on the Jedi's saber as the woman's other blade began to slice through the metal hilt, Carys turned the darkside towards herself. As she felt the lightside close in around her, seeking to fling her back, Carys stood her ground, using the darkside as an anchor and a shield to resist the push. She was not still as she did this however, knowing that some threat lurked behind her, seeking to snuff the life from her body. As she concentrated on staying put, her left hand snaked down to grasp the hilt of her second lightsaber.

Ripping it free from its fastening, Carys leaned forwards and began to crouch as her feet slid backwards on the ground. Hilt held in reverse, she activated the blade and the dual-phase at the same moment, angling the full length blade across her back and thrusting upwards even as the knuckles of her right hand scraped the ground in a pose that might look like a runner's crouch. The tip of Jakkar's errant blade was tilted up in its flight path as the two blades met, the glowing plasma sword sliding along the length of her own, to catch near its base on the joint between Carys' blade and its crossguard, sending the stray lightsaber flying into the air, deadmans switch finally triggering, the blade deactivating as it flipped end over end.

Extending the first two fingers of her left hand from the hilt of her saber, she flicked them forward as she began to move, her mind grasping the lightsaber hilt that tumbled through the air, altering its trajectory slightly into a forward arc. Launching from her runners crouch in a careful charge, she covered the scant five meters between herself and her foe, moving into melee. Just outside of striking distance, she began a sequence of fluid movements to begin her attack. Her left hand raised parallel to her eyes, blade sticking out to the left away from her body and face. Her right hand blade was held in a low guard, angled slightly to the left. Slowing her steps just enough to properly execute her moves, she struck.

Her fore and middle fingers pointed up on her left hand, lightsaber held in a pinch between her thumb and last two fingers, she exerted her control over the tumbling blade flicking her fingers and pushing forward with the hand to rest at chin level a foot and a half in front of her face, activating the blade as it began its descent and hastening its movement so that it would come down in a lazy slash to split the Jedi in half as it arced over Carys. As she did this, she also moved into a low lunge, left knee forward as her right hand blade stabbed forward to the right of Sena's knee, passing several inches past the limb before slashing across in a short left to right motion, in an attempt take the Jedi's leg off. The strikes were timed to land nearly simultaneously, and the Jedi would be hard pressed to defend against both attacks with only a single lightsaber.

He growled when the same lightsaber he'd lost when fighting the Selkath on Ord Mantell was lost, again.

Of course this put a hamper in his plans, but he saw no reason not to try. The first lightsaber was already on his hand and a very brief moment of glancing at the direction of where his fellow Sith was fighting confirmed that she had escaped from the harms way rather efficiently and his lightsaber had gotten off rather scot free from the whole ordeal.

He reached out with the force and pulled at her opponent's legs, Intent in ripping the Jedi's feet from under her as he regained his footing and charged at her, the lighstaber in his hand gleaming with ill intent as his left hand reached out immediately after he'd stood upright reaching out with the force once again and slamming her still aerial body downwards headfirst into the unforgiving stone ground below.

He'd kept the lightsaber away from his body, giving it a berth between his body while also keeping it in a reverse-grip pointing down in front of him if the Jedi was not able to resist his machinations with the intent of finishing her off with a stab once she was down.

Already waiting and prepared for the Sith to make a move, Claire resisted his hasty (comical) pull at her legs then charged forward herself. The Force gathered in her as she ran; it almost felt like it was pumping through her veins like adrenaline. Perhaps she enjoyed combat more than a Jedi should, but she was still young and eager to gain experince.

The gap between them closed quickly since they both dashed forward close to the same time, long before the Sith could get off a second now pointless pull.

Knowing her opponent was down to only his right lightsaber, she moved instantly and with confidence. Swinging her left lightsaber from her right to left on a slight angle. If left to make contact, it'd slice neatly through Jakker's completely unguarded mid torso, effectively cutting him in half. And when she came into range, she pivoted to put herself on Jakker's unarmed side—his left side. Her right lightsaber just floated by her side, arm partially extended, ready to react depending on the action he'd take.

The Sith's display of prowess would hardly qualify as impressive. The only thing about it that could even be mildly construed as such was that the insignificant mongrel didn't just accept her fate and lay down and die. Somewhat unfortunate, really. Sena wanted to end this engagement as quickly as possible. She didn't want her men to take any more causalities than necessary while they stormed the Citadel.

Fighting Sith was like fighting bulls. Most of them were too focused on plowing ahead to take in the scenery. Sena did not fear the power emanating from Carys. There was no sense fearing a child operating the body of an adult. She watched as Carys' lightsaber elongated, clearly a dual phase design. She noted that.

Sliding her feet back, Sena fell into what would appear to anyone else as a defensive stance. Her right hand, the one that held the lightsaber, was held back slightly so that her blade was angled across her chest. Her left arm was held outwards, palm open and facing Carys. Legs were slightly bent, a coiled spring tightening in her haunches.

She watched the Sith woman begin to charge. Step after step, gaining speed as she moved to cross the scant 5 meters between them. Sena's rebuttal would come when Carys was nearing the halfway point. Using the force she had built up within herself previously, Sena manifested barrier of force maybe a foot or so high and half as thick. It was almost like a small barrier you would put up to keep people off the grass, and it would serve a similar purpose.

Just as Carys would reach a full head of steam on her charge the barrier would solidify, although it was still nearly invisible. Sena figured that all of her opponents concentration would be centered on her and controlling the lofty saber, not the small application of force she used. Within her stance, outward facing palm, Sena didn't even have to move to complete what she was attempting.

The mini-force wall being at only shin-height would have several effects, she thought. Firstly, Carys would likely slam her leg into it during her gait, something that would be the equivalent of cracking your shin on duracrete. The sudden momentum loss coupled with the crippling pain would likely send her flying forward before causing her to skid on her belly. The small amount of conentration Sena required to manifest the barrier would be released as soon as Carys made contact and went flying.

Sena would shift her own body to the left, the visual being that if she had been standing on a southern point when Carys' charge began, she would now be standing on the westward. If the woman went flying as Sena would hope, the young Jedi would reach out with the force once more to grasp the now flailing saber in the sky. Activating the switch with the pressure of her telekinesis - one would assume the loss of concentration from Carys would cause it to deactivate - Sena would plunge it straight down. It would catch Carys in the back of the skull the moment her body touched the ground. There would be little she could do.

As Carys charged, the Jedi reached a hand out towards her. Slowing her charge slightly, she was still too late to prevent her shin from contacting with the force barrier forming at her feet. Thankfully she always knew to protect her shins, and the greaves that covered them prevented the force barrier from causing any lasting harm or pain. With a mere two and a half meters between them, Carys fell forwards, extending her right arm and twisting so that her left shoulder faced upwards. Her rage and annoyance at the Jedi had reached a new height, and power surged through her body.

As she fell, her right saber lashed forward to stab the Jedi in the lower thigh as she had begun to reach upwards and grasp at the lightsaber hilt still flipping through the air, right above the knee, where it would penetrate several inches and then drag down the Jedi's shin and foot as Carys continued her fall. Her left hand held her underhanded saber aloft. Just before the blade would contact with the Jedi's thigh, Carys extended her fore and middle finger off the left hand hilt, pouring her anger out, channeling the force through the fingers in a crackling jolt of pure dark side energy. Lightning shot out at the Jedi's groin and pelvis. She would maintain the lightning until her concentration broke from the impact with the ground, or to defend herself with the offhand lightsaber.

The Jedi's concentration on the saber flying through the air would surely be interrupted, and even if it did begin its decent, Carys would be ready to defend herself from it and any other attacks with her off hand saber.

Everything seemly slowed down and narrowed into a line of clarity. In that moment, that ethereal stitch in time, Claire knew one thing with utter certainty. The Sith had made the wrong choice—a mistake—and he would pay for it with his life.

Her left lightsaber made contact. It seared through his tunic, slashing flesh and cutting him clean in half. For a handful of heartbeats her pale blue eyes followed the body and it's blackened bone and melted flesh while it fell. Without really thinking, almost out of instinct, her foot stopped his lightsaber hilt from rolling away and pinned it safely down to the ground.

Even as a young Jedi, she had been in her fair share of battles, but seldom dealt the death blow. His passing gave her no satisfaction... just like the others. Despite being one step closer to victory, or the eagerness she had felt to fight in the first place. No, instead she forced herself to not dwell on it, switching her focus almost instantly to the other battle after.

The other two were still dealing with the aftermath of her original plan. And the Force still intensely flowed through her body...

A few fingers left her lightsabers and with an emphatic motion upwards, the Force would wrap around the Sith's legs, then pull her up into the air. Pulling her up so that her face and hands would face away from Sena. Since the Sith was busy falling, attacking and overall trying not to die, Claire suspected this would work nicely and come somewhat as a surprise.

Sena simply followed through with her movements. She watched Carys trip and fall, Sena still moving westward based on her position. With Carys twisting to place her left shoulder in the air, a grave mistake on her part, Sena would be facing her back and not her front. It seems the Sith didn't teach their soldiers left from right. She saw the saber jut out and the lightning shoot, but it would find nothing but open air.

Moving swiftly, Sena took a step back during her movement from the flailing Carys to remove herself from even the extremity of the Sith's viable reach; it didn't take much. She called the aerial saber to her hand now, her concentration having not been broken but her plans changing.

Holding one saber in her left hand and one in her right, Sena closed the distance between her and Carys. Her left hand saber would be held loose but ready to act on the defensive if necessary, her right hand saber poised for the offense. Should Claire's force attack succeed and string Carys up by her ankles, the Jedi would swipe first at Carys' torso - if her lightsaber connected it would penetrate around six inches of her body - before bringing it back across through both of her knees. The slash through her torso would likely do great harm to the Sith as it would be slicing through her spinal cord.

Sena hoped there wouldn't be anything else necessary to finish the fight.

Carys had miscalculated it seemed. In the chaos of falling, her blade and lightning narrowly missed the irritating Jedi as she stepped to the side. But there was no flailing about for her, only action and aggression. As the Jedi stepped back out of saber reach, Carys flopped over onto her back, focusing on the force. As the flying saber flew towards the Jedi's hand, Carys extended both of her hands towards the distracted jedi, grasping at her with the force to send her flying backwards with a violent push, just as the saber hilt came within inches of her hand. With her attention focused on attempting to retrieve a second saber, there would be little she could do to quickly divert her power fast enough to defend against such a violent force assault, and she would surely be sent flying out and over the steps of the citadel entrance several meters before tumbling the rest of the way down the stairs.

It was then that she felt a tug at her legs, pulling her into the air. Her right hand saber lashed out at the now fallen lightsaber hilt, sparks flying as the discarded weapon was cut in half. Her other saber held aloft in her hand behind her left hip, angled down across her back to protect her. It seemed that her fellow Sith had been a disappointment to the order, whom she saw laying bisected with his saber under the foot of the Jedi as she turned in the air to face her new foe. Her energy was starting to wane as she had already drawn deeply on the darkside. So she drew deeper. Her anger at the fallen ally. Her hatred of the Jedi before her. The pain of dying soldiers around her. The fear of the slaves emanating from their cages below. The swirling, festering miasma of darkness that consumed the fortress stoked her rage. Her eyes burned brightly with the corruption of the darkside as she locked eyes with the Jedi, while her other senses were kept alert, her body tense, ready to spring into action, given the opportunity.

Claire wasted no time once she pulled the Sith up. Since she had successfully wrapped the Force around the Sith's legs, she had the advantage. If the Sith could act quicker than her, she'd be surprised.

Curling her left hands fingers slightly, she tightened the Force around Cary's legs as much as she could. Crushing and mangling soft flesh without mercy, should it work. And she'd continue till Cary's bones succumbed to the unnatural pressure if allotted the time. Though Claire assumed she wouldn't need that much time; before she even started the Force was already wrapped around the Sith's legs tight enough to bring her up into the air.

Even though Claire wanted to inflict pain, it was mostly to take away Sith's ability to focus. The Sith not being able to walk after would only be a bonus. Plus if the blinding pain from the immense pressure was not distraction enough... then falling head first should briefly keep her busy. Claire wouldn't be trying to hold her up while she crushed her legs.

Simultaneously, with her other hand, she cut the end of the hilt under her foot with her lightsaber. Completely removing the threat now that she wasn't sure or focused on what her partner was doing. The motion was simple and wouldn't take much effort or time.

It would appear the young Jedi may have assumed victory too soon. Her focus had been on catching the saber and the movements she had planned for after; but just before her thoughts became action she felt a sharp pain in her chest as she lifted off her feet.

The force of the blast took her out over the threshold of the stairs that lead up to where she had been before, her left side slamming hard into stone as her body landed around halfway down. The force of the fall sent her back into the air slightly, at least letting her not hit any more stairs until she came to a hard, skin-scraping thud-slide at the bottom.

She was still alive, but her breathing was labored. The result of having the wind forcibly removed from her lungs most likely, would return to normal in time. Shaking the stars from her eyes and sitting up, Sena winced heavily when she tried to brace herself with her left hand to stand. That wasn't going to be happening any time soon. She could still move it, sort of, so probably not dislocated. Broken wrist perhaps, she would let the Jedi medics figure that out later. For now, she had a job to finish.

Moving as quickly as she could, which was admittiedly slower than she would have normally been, Sena went back up the stairs. She retrieved her lightsaber about half way up, she had dropped it when she hit the stairs, and held it in her right hand. Hopefully she wouldn't be too hindered. Sena would draw the force into herself as she moved up the last half of the stairs, although she wouldn't be able to see Carys until after Claire's attempt to crush her legs.

As her rage built, Carys felt the grip around her legs begin to constrict, tightening in an attempt to crush the skin and bones. She also felt herself begin to drop back down to the ground. Struggling through the pain, she deactivated her sabers, catching the majority of the fall on the back of her forearm, head cushioned by her arm. She had little time to act, and her mind was filled with pain and rage.

Screaming, she reached out at the Jedi blindly with the force. Thrusting her arm at the woman, she unleashed a push of raw, unfocused power, fueled by her agony and hatred, as the Jedi cut at the saber under foot. The Jedi would find herself struck by the raw power, a blanket push of force over her being. With her focus on crushing Carys' legs she would unlikely be able to defend herself completely, and would almost certainly find herself pushed backwards. More importantly, her lightsaber hand, which had been slashing perilously close to her foot and leg, would be pushed back as well. This would likely drive the burning plasma blade against her legs or feet.
