In approximately one hour, the site will be down for a few hours so we can upgrade to the latest version of vBulletin. This has been a long time coming and I’m really excited that we’re finally going to be able to upgrade. It will bring a lot of great new features, including better protection against spambots.
The downtime is scheduled to begin at 8pm GMT/3pm EST/12pm PDT. It will be down for a few hours and it should be back up by 11pm GMT/6pm EST/3pm PDT.
Please DO NOT try to refresh the site during the upgrade process. I would have preferred to have given you more of a head’s up in order for more of you to see this, but it didn’t work out that way so I apologize. That said, do not refresh/F5/hammer the site during the upgrade process.
Also note that we won’t have a skin when the forum is back online, but we’ll be working to have one up ASAP.
The site will be backed up so there should be no issues in terms of losing posts. Visitor messages may be lost, but I am not sure yet.
In the end, we are moving to a new forum platform that will greatly benefit the site. Things will change. Trust us to deliver a better and superior product to what we all work with now. There might be some pain to start off with, as there is in any upgrade, but generally it is superior.
Thank you for your patience today!
