Skirmish of Lamaredd

It has been some time since the gathering on Endor which led to Former Grand Master Ebberla Daw stepping down and leaving the Jedi Order. This falling out caused the Jedi to abandon all of their current outpost and search for new ones out of concern that Ebberla would lead the Jedi's enemies to these outpost.

The Jedi have since settled into new bases, but before leaving Lamaredd the current Jedi Council at that time gave one of the residents of Bartyn's Landing a way to contact them if they ever came under Sith attack.

The Jedi Council has received word that several Sith have shown up in Bartyn's Landing, and have begun causing problems for the civilians. The previous Jedi presence on the planet is the only thing that could have drawn the Sith to the area. Selected Jedi will depart immediately and accompany Grand Master Orlaan Ghess to identify and deal with the Sith threat in the area. The main objective is protect the residents of Bartyn's Landing.


Skirmish Details

This skirmish will take place in two threads of which I will describe below. They will be limited to two weeks from the day the first post is made and will hold a strict 48 hour posting time frame. You are fully expected to have your threads done at the two week mark. Failing to keep up with the 48 posting pace could carry adverse consequences for your character and could hurt your chances of being allowed in further battles/events. Sign-ups will not be first come first serve.


Thread One: Town Square

The first thread will consist of a 1v1 duel that pits Grand Master Orlaan Ghess against Sith High Inquisitor Ebberla Daw. The duel will begin in small, but open town square of Bartyn's Landing.


Thread Two: The Docks and Market

2v2 Duel involving one Padawan/Acolyte and one Knight/Crusader from each side. The duel will take placed in the small open market and the network of docks that run along it. This is the thread we are opening up for sign ups and are looking for one Padawan and one Knight writer to represent the Jedi. Please use below format to sign up!

Disclaimer: While it is true that Clara and Khivas would make a good match up for this, if that were to happen I'd rather go by the "Death Enabled, but not required" bit to build up suspense and rivalries, and all that good shit. Also I'd really rather not kill Khivas in something so trivial, and same goes to killing anybody else unless they actually want to die.

But dismemberment or capture, that's doable =P

All battle threads are death enabled by default. That does not mean someone has to die only that is is a possibility. I have been in several battle threads and no one has died in any of them.

I would argue that this is not trivial either? A group of people are under attack solely because of their believed involvement with the Jedi Order. If your character would view that as trivial...

Well let me say that in a different way: It's a point for the Jedi to fight because it's what we do, the whole defending people thing, but ultimately it's semi-trivial for the most part unless the Sith take a wretched hit from this.

Also that's what I meant by the Death Enabled but Not Required thing lol I'd more than likely PM my opponent XD

*I'm still interested in this btw, I just tend to talk a lot and voice my opinion, even if it's a stupid one.

Hey Marf,
