A rogue human replica droid, the RUBI unit was intended to revolutionize the tracking and apprehension of Corellian fugitives and high-profile criminals. During its first mission, however, we lost all communications, and it was thus declared MIA in the record books. Its whereabouts are currently unknown, but if it is encountered, assume it is armed and dangerous, and do not hesitate in destroying it. Its capabilities are near-limitless in the wrong hands. Intent The Corellian Security Force's R&D department was commissioned to draft and design a Human Replica Droid, one that could engage criminals, avoid detection, and be easily externally reconfigured for new assignments. It was thus designed with stealth as its utmost priority, and also received various tools and weapons to assist it in this vocation. Of course, the road to the nine hells is paved with good intentions. Upon the advent of its first mission, it was lost and declared MIA, as was the accompanying Hunter-Killer series droid assigned to it for security reasons. Assume they are linked, and do not hesitate in destroying them both. Design Stealth was the primary concept that drove the design of the RUBI unit. Thus, its biofiber muscle mass was constructed to be as similar to a normal human's as possible, and so it cannot exert much force beyond that which a normal human female who engages in regular exercise could. Its duranium skeletal structure is alike in durability and power to its biofibers, and cannot sustain much more stress than a human female's could. Its height is variable, but requires extensive surgery and replacement parts to effectively change. Its weight is also difficult to alter. The entirety of the RUBI unit's synthskin is solar-energy absorbent, and so in an environment with sufficient sunlight, the unit could conceivably operate for an indefinite amount of time. The RUBI unit's weapon complement was designed to be as limited as possible, but still effective enough to protect itself and remove targets. Its retractable and thus easily-hidden duranium alloy claws, while potentially far more destructive than any organic human's, can nonetheless easily be misidentified as an organic being's. These claws can additionally, when combined with RUBI's magnetic feet, be utilized for both vertical and horizontal climbing. A monofilament wire is installed in her right arm, and can extend up to six meters. The wire can additionally be electrified to shock its target. RUBI's left hand was designed to carry more punch than her standard-power biofiber muscles could: a repulse-hand that utilizes miniature repulsor generators to create a repulsor field that allows it to parry weapons and deliver devastatingly destructive blows. It is, unlike the standard prosthetic, covered in synthskin, which is ripped apart when the repulse-hand is activated. In her right thigh is a compartment for storage of her MC-93 personal defense weapon. The RUBI unit's hair and eye colour can be altered on command. Her hair is constructed of incredibly lifelike strands of electrically-reactive synthetic hair, and its pigmentation can be changed rather easily: a variation in voltage reacts with the chemicals present in the hair, and as the shock travels down the strands, their colour modifies itself accordingly. Of course, the electrical emissions cannot be picked up on any but the most sensitive of instruments. Her photoreceptors are much simpler, and their colour can be changed simply by altering their surface pigmentation. The RUBI unit was installed with multiple close-quarters combat subroutines, including those for Teras Kasi, Broken Gate, and Echani. |
