Weaponry
A beautifully crafted rapier bought from a merchant in Cinnagar. Though at first thought to be of little value due to its low cost, Daniels found that the sword was actually a remarkable piece of work in combat and has kept the sword by his side ever since.

A micro-pulse blaster smuggled illegally from Nar Shaddaa. It is built of durable thoranium, and capable of firing more intense pulses of energy than lesser pistols are capable of. This lends to the speculation that the micro-pulse blaster puts the power of an advanced blaster rifle in the convential handheld form of a blaster pistol.

An Arkanian sonic blaster looted off the corpse of an uncooperative victim. The victim himself was not Arkanian, though that is not surprising as these weapons have floated through the galaxy for some time now. This blaster fires sonic energy as opposed to the convential energy blasts most blasters fire.

A field survival pistol, a common type of hold out blaster his brother owned. He stole it from his footlocker many years ago and has since held onto it as a reminder of his family and as a valuable back up weapon, in case of emergencies.

Other Gear
The Echani Shield Suit Daniels often wears is a very efficient armor that exploits the Echani's strengths. It is a light armor that combines with their shield technology to form a very efficient and potent defense. Though not as light as many of their other armors and not as protective as many of their other shields, this suit is an excellent defense for the smuggler on the run.

Exchange Infiltrator Gloves are typically worn only by those higher ranking in the Exchange, but a pair were given to Daniels as a token of the Exchange's esteem. He'd done plenty of smuggling work for them, and it was only fair that he got something in return. These gloves are equipped with an artificial intelligence unit that the wearer can use to tap into nearby computer systems through cables or wireless transmission. The system also stabilizes the wearer's hands for fine detail work.

Avery's final piece of gear is a Tech Specialist's Belt. Practical and unassuming, belts like this one are prized by rogues and scoundrels of all types. It is a useful tool that not only affects his mental acuity, but also carries all the tricks of the trade he could possibly need. It was picked up by Daniels on a routine smuggling trip to Eriadu.

Main Enemies

Main Slaves
None as of yet.

Strengths
Avery talks a good game, and he plays pretty good, too. He can get himself out of the awkward situations that tend to come up more often than not. Avery's got experience with both computers and vehicles, which are good skills for any underworld freelancer to have. He's got plenty of credits as a smuggler, and he has connections to many in both the underworld and the government.

Weaknesses
Though competant enough with a sword and blaster, Avery is not a trained warrior. He's got plenty of friends, sure, but he's also pissed off plenty of Hutts and government officials on the job so he's got enemies, too. Avery can be rash at times, and likes to jump right into something as opposed to stopping and considering the consequences.

Appearance
Daniels' pitch black hair is cut fairly short and left fairly unkempt and ruffled. He's got two fairly big bright blue eyes perfectly almond-shaped on his face and a large, jutting chin. He does his best to keep his face clean shaven, but will occasionally grow a thin beard and cut his hair shorter to keep himself under cover from the authorities. His clothes are of the latest style, and he generally wears a longish brown coat to keep himself warm. A shirt and long pants cover his suit of light armor underneath fairly well, and he wears gloves a good portion of the time. His boots are large and in charge, but still light and comfortable enough to fight or flee in times of combat.

Personality
Avery's not quiet, not by a longshot. He likes to voice his opinion and he likes everyone to agree with it. Oftentimes, even when he doesn't have anything valuable to say, he'll pitch in with a comment on anything on his mind. He knows how to talk his way into situations that could be harmful, but luckily he can talk his way out of them too. He doesn't get angry much, staying calm most of the time. He's got a good imagination, but most of his ideas are too out there to be plausible. Avery enjoys and oftentime seeks out adventure, and considers himself a swashbuckler.

Ship
Daniels is the proud owner of The Luck of the Draw, so named after its previous owner because it was won in a high stakes pazaak game. However, the owner before him wasn't actually so lucky, as it was stolen about an hour standard's time by Daniels in one of his boldest thefts. The Luck of the Draw is an S40-K Phoenix Hawk vehicle produced by Kuat Systems Engineering. Though its conditions are a bit cramped for the crew, it can easily hold up to 20 tons of cargo and can be driven by a single person or a secondary co-pilot as well. Its weaponry includes two heavy blaster cannons and two ion cannons.

Bio
Avery Daniels started life with a single mother and four brothers on the grand city of Cinnagar. He was the youngest and final child of Ms. Daniels, and by far the most successful. However, growing up in a poor family such as his with five mouths to feed, Avery had to get a job at an early age. He worked doing odd jobs in the neighborhood, making credits wherever he could while his older brothers grew up and moved out. His mother demanded that, despite their need for credits, Avery attend school and become successful, and so he attended school in addition to his work. Though not a hard worker by any means, Avery was an intelligent lad and he excelled at his work without much effort. That wasn't what interested him, though. He wanted to please his mom, but he also didn't plan on staying on this trash heap of a planet for long, either. He wanted adventure, he wanted to see the galaxy. And so he would.

As he grew up, Avery took on an apprenticeship as a mechanic and soon engrossed himself in the world of vehicles and computers. It was something he enjoyed, something he could work on, and something he could earn a small bit of money for his family with. So he worked there for a time, learning all there was to learn and learning the tools of the trade he would use later on in life. Not the tools of a mechanic, however; the tools of a smuggler.

At the age of fifteen, however, things changed. He came to the garage one day to find a dark black landspeeder in the front, a vehicle he hadn't seen before. Thinking perhaps it was a new project of his master's, Avery approached without much fear. However, as he entered the garage, he found four Sith troopers, each larger than the last holding his beaten and bloodied teacher. Tears streamed down his face, but the Sith continued to beat him. Daniels was stunned, but even more stunned when the Sith turned on him immediately and fired their rifles at him.

When he came to, he found himself in a room. It was dark and stale and musty and there were no windows, merely cold, hard durasteel on all sides. Avery panicked and thrust his fists against the purple force field in front of him, and the impact from the resulting shock knocked him on his feet. His heart quickened further, and his head spun like a top, trying to find any possible way out. But there was none. He was trapped. He was a prisoner.

Eventually Daniels succumbed to life as an inmate. He'd done nothing wrong, of course, but that didn't stop the Sith from taking hold of him. At first, he'd tried to talk with them, pleading that he was innocent and that there had to be some mistake. They merely laughed at him, and Daniels stopped trying once they stopped finding it amusing and started finding it annoying. He couldn't take too many more beatings.

Days passed, then weeks, then months, then years. His hair grew long and his beard soon matched, but there was nothing he could do except rot. The memory of his family was gone, the memory of fresh air gone, the memory of hope gone. He was doomed to be their prisoner for his life, and there were no two ways around it.

But that, of course, was not the case. As he sat on his bunk staring blankly at the ceiling one night, a sudden crash interrupted him. He ignored it, as such noises were common at the prison as the Sith beat their prisoners. But as it turns out, this was a different sort of crash. Three minutes later, the door to his prison opened, along with the other inmates. Pandamonium ensued. Creatures of all manner scurried about, running into each other in their frantic escape. Avery joined them, wondering what had happened. He followed the throng outside to the cold, fresh night air and passed through the open gates into the streets. Freedom, at long last, had been granted to him.

It was more instinct than anything else that carried Avery back through the streets of Cinnagar. His heart was pounding ferociously and his mind was racing too fast to think clearly. His legs carried him back through familiar territory, however, and he found himself in front of his house once more. Entering the passcode and walking inside, Daniels found his dear old mother asleep. Patting her once on the head, Avery knew he'd have to leave; the Sith would be tracking him down and surely check his old house, and he didn't want his mother to be found with him. He reached his brother's old room, grabbed a hold out blaster and fled.

Avery slept on the streets that night and when morning came, he wandered aimlessly. Where to go, what to do? He saw a vendor selling holoprints of the news, but he had no credits. Deciding he wanted to figure out all he could about what had happened at the prison last night, Avery grabbed a print and shoved it into his coat without the vendor knowing. After finding out that it had been part of a coup on the Sith presence on Cinnagar, Avery started worrying. What would he do? What could he do? How could he survive here if war was going to break out? Fortunately that wasn't a problem. It hit Avery then that all he had to do was steal what he needed, just like that newspaper. And so he did. He stole whatever he wanted, whatever he needed and got caught more than once. However, that did not seem to deter him and he continued his life as a thief.

Finally while chasing a mark in the cantina, Avery made his big break. An unusually large crowd had gathered around the pazaak table, and many people were cheering and hollering. Deciding to see what had happened, Avery abandoned his mark and fought his way through the crowds to the table. An overweight Corellian with a big grin plastered on his face sat at one side, and a disgusted looking Duros sat at the other. People clapped the Corellian on the back while the Duros had walked away. Obviously the Corellian had won.

Daniels glanced at the table and saw both the cards and the winnings. Ah yes, it had been a close game. But more importantly, he saw the winnings. And in the winnings, among the credits, was the key to a starship along with the deed and pertinent information. Just a few papers and a small little bundle of metal, and the Corellian was too busy celebrating to have grabbed it. That's when Avery made the boldest move of his short life. Pushing a Devoronian out of his way, Daniels jumped on the table, grabbed the papers and the key, and jumped off over a few heads in the crowd to the ground. Everyone looked around at each other, a bit unsure at what had just happened. That didn't last long, however, and Daniels bolted out the door followed by a mob of bar patrons of all sizes and species.

Surprised at himself and panicked at what to do next, Avery dodged and weaved his way through the familiar alleyways, trying to shake loose from the crowd. He scanned the papers as he went, and found the lot where the ship was located at. Perfect. Now all he had to do was get there. Adrenaline kept him going as he ran and ran and ran, getting closer and closer to his destination. But the crowd behind him drew closer, and now a few blaster bolts scattered over his head, narrowly missing him.

But that certainly would not be the end of Avery Daniels! No sir! He ran straight through the gate to the shipyard and the remaining crowd followed him. He passed ship after ship after ship until finding the one located at Lot 51A3, the same one as the paper listed. He pressed a button on the key and the ramp lowered as Avery clambored aboard. He wasn't even completely on the ramp before he pressed the button again, trying to close the door. He pulled his foot through just in time as two hands grabbed his ankles. One let go in time, while the other lost his hand as the ramp crushed it. Avery had made it.

Blaster bolts pinged off the side of his ship, but they couldn't penetrate the thick durasteel. Daniels found his way to the cockpit, started the engine, and left Cinnagar behind, the proud owner of The Luck of the Draw. Now he had a ship. And that would be all he needed.

It didn't take long until the name Avery Daniels soon became synonymous with smuggling. He started small, but after pulling job after job, he soon earned quite a reputation in the underworld. The authorities could chase him, but they never could find him. Preferring to keep himself neutral, Daniels took jobs with anyone who paid him the most, be it the Hutts, the Exchange, or even the Republic. It didn't matter as long as the credits were enough. This is the life he'd envisioned, one of a bit more adventure than a mechanic on Cinnagar. Now all his skills were realized and he could reap the rewards as a professional smuggler.</span>

That's a really cool profile. I like the fact the history is long, but not boring, and it's just good in general!
