NAME: Axim La’ruun
FACTION: Imperial Knights
RANK: Knight
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 48
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 2.1 meters
WEIGHT: 141 kg
EYES: Brown
HAIR: Black
SKIN: Dark
CREDITS: 1,000
Appearance: Strong features mark Axim’s face giving him a traditional masculine look which gives birth to a rather attractive facial shape. His eyes are a light brown color that almost appears the color of amber which contrasts his strong features with the soft, warming light they produce. His hair is long and black, often tied up into his head wrap but from time to time is worn down, showing its impressive length of flowing down a few centimeters past his shoulder blades. His face often sports a prominent beard, black in color but from time to time is shaved off, showing off a face that seems a decade younger than his actual age. However, with the beard, he most certainly looks his age and perhaps even older. His body is extremely broad which makes him appear even taller than his already substantial height. Axim’s body is packed with solid muscles which seem to be a combination of good genetics, healthy dieting, and intense training. His face is often seen with a kind, weathered, and fatherly-like smile.

FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes

STRENGTH: A man of immense stature when compared to most humans, it should come as no surprise that his strength is far greater than most of his species. His hulking form is composed of nothing but muscle and fortunately every fiber is unaffected by his growing age, and as such he's capable of producing massive amounts of power with relatively no bodily restrictions. His strength is to the point that he is more than capable of producing tremendous feats of strength that many other humans would be hard pressed to even come close to accomplishing. Larger opponents and more sturdy species have been beaten by him in feats of strength and have even complimented on his seemingly inhuman power, comparing it to a Rancor’s own. His body is capable of producing these insane bursts of energy for extensive periods of time without exhaustion, making his aim to dole out massive amounts of damage to utterly crush and eradicate his enemies through god-like strength.

DEXTERITY: Due to his tremendous size and unwavering strength, Axim never had to deal with being the most fleet of combatants nor was his body truly capable of producing such results anyways. As a result, his speed is average at best and only that good due to his dedication to constant training. His heavy muscles were obviously formed more to produce power and make a literal flesh shield of his body than as a quick footed warrior. To compensate for his less than average speed, he often uses wide, arcing slices in order to form a barrier around his body to enable him to take on multiple opponents as well as forming a barrier of sorts from faster opponents. The momentum from one wide arc to another enables his arms to move faster than average, making the barrier more effective than just one arcing slash.

CONSTITUTION: As already stated, his body was produced and forged to be an impenetrable shield made up of his own flesh. His solidly muscled body enables him to take mass amounts of damage from enemies as well as being naturally more resistant to most forms of weaponry (although this does not make him impervious, he just has a better natural resilience than most) due to his intense training and through genetic makeup as a whole. His amazing physical shape allows him to be able to constantly perform physically demanding actions with little exhaustion despite his age. An ongoing joke is that he could have a slugging match with a Rancor and win… frighteningly enough, with his immense strength and perfectly forged body, one could almost believe it.

INTELLIGENCE: Rather intelligent with a fair amount of academic knowledge, Axim is versed in the uses of science, mathematics, and other such subjects. However, academia is not really Axim’s favored regions of learning. Rather, he prefers to read fictional stories and philosophical novels despite not being an overly philosophical person himself. He enjoys reading of different perspectives and ideals as well as grandiose fables. Axim also has a wealth of knowledge from his time on Tatooine such as how to moisture farm, provide mechanical aid, and speak in different languages as used by the traders on Tatooine.

WISDOM: He has lived through heartbreak and lonely circumstances. As a result, one naturally becomes more attuned with the world and its workings. He has come to become the master of his emotions and in how to train others to master theirs as well. Years of laying low have taught him patience and as a result he is not quick to react on rash impulses but more on well thought out plans. This also translates to combat as he equally uses his calm and patient understandings to aid him in the best courses of action. Battle hardened in combat as well; it’s no surprise that he has a keen understanding of war and its intricacies which leads him to think of what he views as the best course of action. However, he understands his logic is fallible and is more than willing to take advice from his companions. He has also been known to impart fatherly advice when needed to the young.

CHARISMA: A man kind face, it’s no surprise that Axim emanates a fatherly vibe to the youth. Children often view him with awe due to his great height and kind face and as a result, many children have been known to quickly form a trust with him. Teenagers and young adults often feel the fatherly vibe the most, even more so than the children, especially if they themselves are lacking parents or have gone through difficult situations. His stern face will be a kindly one of pride when surprised or impressed with their skills and watching as they grow as a whole. Other adults often view him as a wizened warrior and staunch decision maker as well as a rather easy to get along with individual. To women, many have often described his face as being masculine and handsome, making him capable of seduction in some circumstances. This natural charismatic aura that Axim produces enables him to be a quick to trust individual and one people would often have no qualms helping out.

FORCE POWERS:
Telekinesis; Force Push, Pull, and Throw
Force Strength and Speed
Force Leap
Force Empathy
Force Sense
Farseeing

Axim is a fierce combatant, be it with or without a weapon. While not very proficient in the use of ranged weaponry such as a blaster, Axim makes up for this weakness due to his prowess in both unarmed and melee combat. His ability in unarmed combat is entirely untrained which is surprising given his age and skill in the arts. Relying more on natural instincts and his build, he focuses on using his immense strength to overwhelm his opponents and set the pace. However, this does not mean he falls prey to the ploy that he is the superior fighter due to his larger build and instead is constantly wary of more nimble fighters’ movements in wait for their inevitable attempt to counter. In melee combat, most often with a lightsaber, Axim attempts to use his weapons natural reach (as they are often longer than his opponents) as an advantage over his opponent in order to dictate the pace of the fight. His natural superiority in strength is also used in tandem, allowing him to create devastating offensive pressure to his opponent. However, this does not mean his defense is lacking as he attempts to form a type of offensive defense, performing wide, arcing swings with his usual longer weapon, enabling him to form a perpetually moving ‘wall’ of sorts made from the strikes of his weapon. This could be described as a more primitive form of the Saber Ward.

His time on Tatooine has also caused him to become a decent mechanic, capable of fixing average mechanical problems be it in a landspeeder or a starcraft alike. Farming became an extremely important form of self-sustaining himself, so as a result he knows how to moisture farm water and also plant and harvest crops. He also learned to speak a variety of languages due to the constant flow of traders even in his secluded area of the wasteland planet causing him to be able to understand a variety of languages, such as the ability to speak Huttese and Durese while being able to understand languages such as Rodese, Jawaese, and some Twi’leki.

LIGHTSABER/SWORD FORMS:
Form V Shien/Djem So: Form V has been renowned to be the least nimble form of the seven lightsaber combat forms and the one that supports the more power oriented fighters. Perhaps this is why Axim seems like such a perfect fit for the offensively poised battle form, preferring to utilize his immense strength rather than his average agility over his opponents. His ability over Shien enables him to be more than capable of deflecting blaster bolts with the utmost of ease while his proficiency over Djem So allows him to tackle other melee opponents with heavy, powerful strikes to annihilate his opponents. However, Axim has been known to utilize some pieces of Shii-Cho within his combat, preferring to utilize Shii-Cho’s wide, sweeping arc slashes in order to combat multiple enemies as well as preferring to disable his opponent rather than kill them.

A powerful and sturdy man, Axim is capable of taking and doling out tremendous amounts of damage without exhaustion or end in sight, making him a deadly combatant regardless of who the opponent may be. He is difficult to incite into rage, meaning a calm mind is something that he constantly has ahold of. As a result, this calmness allows him to plan out his next strikes rather than rush in like a brazen dolt and risk himself. His calm mind could also be attributed to his natural tactician mindset and perhaps why he is so open to criticism of his suggestions rather than becoming disgruntled if someone questions his ideas. Axim also has a natural charisma that allows him the ability to form bonds with virtually any person regardless of sex, age, or species. These traits make him a well-rounded individual for battle and for everyday occurrences.

His weak point would undoubtedly be his lack of pure speed. Although as fast as any man his size, it doesn’t equate to anything particularly staggering and as a result, allows more nimble opponents an advantage over him. As a result, Axim relies on his pure strength and incredibly hardy physique to cover his weakness with his strengths. Perhaps an indirect weakness would be exploiting the bonds he often makes with others.

Sabercane – Cyan colored blade: After going into hiding on the desert wasteland of Tatooine, Axim had immediately sold his Imperial Knight armor and personal fighter and constructed new garments which resembled the desert robes of the common folk of Tatooine in order to blend in better. However, he could not give up his lightsaber, perhaps his last remaining friend, after hearing the news that his allies were all dead. As a result, he constructed the shaft of a cane via a bantha horn where he used his lightsaber as the hilt. This enabled him to keep his lightsaber while keeping it under the guise of a cane, allowing him a cleverly hidden weapon that could be utilized when needed.

Armor (visual aid at top): Desert Robes
Rating: Proof against low powered Kinetic and Energy rifles and shrapnel. It also poses resistance to lightsabers as well due to armorweave and ultrachrome
Construction: Formed from armorweave material instead of regular cloth. Leather and thin sheets of ultrachrome reside on the chest area.
Weight: Light
Coverage: Torso, arms, legs.

Overall Description:
Replacement vestments from Axim’s original heavy armor, these desert robes are reasonably common looking for the general populous of Tatooine. The only difference would be that rather than made up of the common cloth that made up most robes of the Tatooinian people, Axim preferred a more protective mesh. Crafting the majority of the garbs from armorweave cloth, the chest portion is undoubtedly the most protected area on the body with it having a layer of leather over the armorweave. However, the leather is simply there to conceal the ultrachrome which is pressed into the underside of the leather. This ultrachrome was put in place to give him at least some protection from both blasters and lightsabers alike should any Imperial agents or Sith come to the planet and discover him.

Slight Description: Bought soon after his arrival to Tatooine after selling his original ship and clothing, this ship was bought off of a retired smuggler who had it laying around in the Mos Espa spaceport. After finding the ship, Axim bought it for a reasonably cheap price for the sole purpose of an escape vehicle if ever discovered on the planet. Now, after fixing it up from the rust bucket it was in his spare time over the last four years, he has become extremely attached to the old ship; going so far as to jokingly call it his wife.

”PPH-4005”
The Personal Property Helper droid was a common droid on moisture farms in Tatooine. Renowned for their sturdiness and no need of repairs, the Personal Property Helper or PPH, became a staple for moisture farmers who had no other hands to help them on the farm. As a result, in order to keep up with the demanding work that moisture farming required, Axim purchased this droid in order to help him around the fields of his new home. However, with once again rejoining his order, Axim has attempted to make it a decent pilot and combatant, making him more useful on his new missions.

Axim, despite being a man of astounding size and power, is surprisingly to most people’s expectations, a man of patience and calm, preferring not to jump headlong into a situation when a more promising tactical route reveals itself. He understands that due to his large size that he is incapable of being a quick footed warrior and as a result, must tactically approach his situation to utilize his strength in the most productive mean possible for him to control the fight. His calm is hardly ever overtaken by rage and anger as he believes that an angry mind only makes your focus narrow and making you easy to exploit and to dominate. In his pastime, he often reads, preferring the extraordinary tales that are weaved throughout the stories which seem to calm him in the rare times that he is frustrated. As mentioned, Axim is easily described in a fatherly light. He is kind in his ways to the young, aiming to help them grow both as warriors and as people as a whole. He has no qualms of taking the role of a surrogate father to ones who need it most and is often known to imparting a bit fatherly wisdom when needed. However, this kind father-like figure is more than capable of becoming intense and serious in a moment’s notice if necessary.

Axim’s most important personality trait though would no doubt be his firm belief in his faith. Unlike some force users who view the force as an entity, Axim believes that the force is a tool that the gods impart upon mortals to help better the world. However, he believes that although the tool was placed in the universe to better the world, some people are misusing the tool (such as the Sith) who choose to corrupt and destroy everything rather than help the people with such a gift. As a result, Axim has a firm distaste for the Sith as he views them as a corruption which is decaying the force. Especially after the attack on Seoul V, he is staunch in his loyalty to the Imperial Knights and their goal to now band together to dismantle the Sith.

Few other families on the Imperial capital of Bastion could claim to have the same credentials as the famed La’ruun family. The La’ruun line was renowned for their undying loyalty to the Empire and its vast collection of governmental officials and fierce Imperial soldiers. They practically commanded respect. Axim was one of them; however, his birth was not the most noble of them. Kaz La’ruun, Axim’s father, was already married and had three other sons before Axim and had even had Axim with another woman – his servant. Most would think that Kaz would have gone to great lengths in an attempt to cover up his unfaithfulness but such thinking would be incorrect. Rather, Kaz immediately confessed to his transgressions without any shame, claiming that his bastard son would eventually become the true heir to his estate rather than his other three sons. He made this boast because unlike his other three sons, Axim was gifted; he was blessed with a power that none of Kaz’s other children had inherited from him – the force.

Kaz openly favored Axim to his other children as he grew and even aided him in growing his gift in the force as he aged. He enrolled Axim into the same academy as his other children, determined to give him an exceptional education and even went so far as even devoting private one on one training sessions to ensure his productivity. Through these acts, a variety of things occurred. While Kaz and Axim formed an extremely strong bond, Axim’s half-brothers were intimidated by him, fearing that they would lose their chance at their portion of the estate. Kaz’s wife, Kara, however, was not going to allow Kaz’s bastard son to usurp her rightful sons rule and as such, was determined to go to any lengths to ensure that Axim wouldn’t.

Axim’s teen years were the years of blooming. Transforming from a spindly youth into a broad, tall, muscular individual whose physical presence dominated his peers and his brothers alike. Kaz was enthusiastic about his growth, claiming that along with his grasp of the force that his physical ability alone would be enough to rule Kaz’s portion of the La’ruuni land after his death. Kaz also felt the need to begin his son’s intense training by doing rigorous physical exercise to make him a relied fighter should the event ever arise. His wife, however, had now executed her attempts to eliminate the bastard son. After petitioning to the La’ruuni high council, claiming that should Axim take over Kaz’s estate that the La’ruun family name would be besmirched. As a result the council agreed to Kara’s plan to eliminate the bastard and ultimately destroy any chance for their righteous name to be tarnished.

The plan was long in coming. They wished to lull Axim and Kaz into a false sense of security and to do so; they kept the plan dormant for years, refusing to spring the trap too early. Axim, now close to his mid-twenties, had firmly established himself as the eventual ruler over the estate, dominating his half-brothers to any attempt for their succession. However, family politics are never so cut and dry. On his way to a La’ruuni council meeting Axim was attacked by two of his guards who unbeknownst to him were instructed by the La’ruun council to kill him. Fortunately, do to his ability in the force, Axim had sensed the impending danger and reacted, killing one of his attackers and crippling the other before interrogating him into information on who’s order he was following. After finding out that the La’ruuni council was responsible for his near death, Axim did the only thing he could think of. He ran off to find his father.

After finding his father and discussing the possibilities with him, Kaz came to a bitter conclusion. He understood that the La’ruuni council would never allow Axim the right to rule his estate, at least, not for now. As a result he only had one possibility for his son, to make him disappear. Using his influence and title, Kaz had arranged for the Imperial Knights to come take Axim into their ranks. Axim, easily passing the preliminary tests was accepted, albeit late into the Imperial Knights. His father only hoped that one day Axim would be able to return to Bastion in an attempt to reclaim what he viewed as his rightful title. For now though, he accepted that such a title would be claimed by one of his less deserving sons.

And so, the promising leader over a sum of the La’ruuni estate, Axim, was now out of the picture. The Imperial Knights took him in, kept him hidden and trained him in the ways of the Knight. This time could be considered a period where Axim changed from the arrogant, proud man into the entirely different man that he is today. This period took years, from his mid-twenties into his late thirties and during that course of training, Bastion forgot about Axim La’ruun and Axim, likewise, had forgot about Bastion. During this period of time with the Knights, Axim did a vast amount of missions for them in order to further their goals and the Imperial peoples as a whole. He had found his meaning.

He was 43 or 44; an esteemed knight who had devoted himself to the cause while Bastion seemed like little more than a dream… then the world came crashing down. The Battle of Seoul V had begun. He fought. He fought bravely alongside his fellow knights. He soared into battle in the space against the oncoming Chiss ships. He fought against the Empire’s soldiers and Sith warriors alike on the ground. But despite their valiant fighting, despite their determined efforts, winning is not always a possibility and this was one battle the Knights could not win. When the Sith began to kill his fellow Knights and the Chiss capturing them he had no choice but to flee; either that or die and in his mind it was his chance to fight for his fellow Knights another day. But first, he had to lie low, and where better to lie low than in the barren deserts of Tatooine?

His arrival to Tatooine was supposed to be a brief period but after hearing that he may have been the last Knight left, he decided to disappear. He sold his armor, his ship, everything that he had once connected to the knights, all but his lightsaber – the last thing he had that connected him to his fallen allies. With his newfound minor wealth from selling advanced armor and ship, Axim purchased a cheap freighter ship that he kept in the Mos Espa spacedock encase he needed a getaway from possibly prying Sith. For his living he purchased a small moisture farm and a droid out in the outskirts of civilization in the far out barrens of the Tatooine desert. He survived by growing and harvesting crops from the water he produced from his moisture vaporators and selling his leftover produce to traders that wandered by his small farm every couple of weeks in order to fund repairs for any damages that could have occurred on the farm as well as refurbishing his getaway ship.

Nearly four years were spent like that before a vision had struck him while he dreamt. He dreamed of a man even older than him who was in the midst of battle with another human, slashing and hacking at one another. Shouts of frustration and jeers accompanied every missed slash while screams of excitement and cheers bellowed with each one that was connected. An arena, this much he could tell. The man though, was what truly astounded him. He recognized the face for a comrade, a fellow knight. He had known of this man, a fabled commander whose great wit was only bested by his equally great strength. He saw the Knight cleave his opponent near in half before awaking. Axim could not stand idle. He could not sit still and work on his farm when he knew a fellow knight was in need of rescue. He was too restless to simply be contained with his farming life to not go and once more, have a companion, to once more have a purpose, to once more aid the true people of the Empire. Besides, the Sith needed to pay for their strikes against him and his kindred knights and he knew it would be all the easier to commit such an act with allies at his side. His farm was sold the next day and his ship which had not moved in four years had disappeared. It’s course? Dal’Hutta, the only open gladiatorial pit in the galaxy… and the only one with tales which claimed to house fighters that could be as powerful as a Knight Commander...

After arriving in Dal’Hutta, Axim had arrived late to the spectacle that Balthazar had wrought. Already he had begun an attempt to free himself, starting a riot which had sent thousands careening from the arena where gladiators, a krayt dragon, and other combatants who attempted to bring down the foul Hutt who enslaved them. And Axim was more than willing to aid in the slime’s downfall. After the compromise with Adipos and Balthazar’s confession to wanting to revive the Knights, Axim pledged his fealty to his cause. Now, the road before him lies uncertain but once more he is given the chance to pave his fate once more with his fellow Knights.

This character will actually fit in perfectly. Kudos on the writing --impressive and descriptive without being dry and overly expository. And his traits will make him a cool-headed counter-balance to our ICly younger knights. Glad to have you!

I'm glad you guys think it's acceptable considering it's only my third character profile and not to mention that I was strapped for a biography idea for the longest time. I'll join in on the enclave ASAP if everyone is fine with me joining in. Looking forward to rping with you guys, especially the older fellows like Gaspar and Balthazar!

It was a great profile man, much better than ****ty Gaspar's...but if you wanna rp with him and Bal then just hop in on Enclave. All you gotta do is sign your character up and have him approved, but that shouldn't stop you from posting in the Enclave thread anyway.

I'm gonna have to call BS on that, your biography was great! You actually get a real deep feel for the character and the mysterious Lana :CSly.

Already approved as a Knight so now it's just time to jump in :CHappy.

You find more about Lana in Balthazar's profile...she was in mine due to predetermined character development, but she's really his creation. She's much less mysterious in that profile.

Edited him to be a substantially older and tad bit taller, I wanted more of a old, powerful and kind giant vibe.
