Armored Robes

AFFILIATION
Private Usage

OWNERSHIP
Ayindri Za'til
COMPOSITION
Nanoweave, Shell Spider Silk, Armorweave
TYPE
Sith Robes I guess?

INTENT

A pair of armored robes for personal use on my Sorcerer. As Sorcerers have a certain aesthetic, robes were chosen due to their disdain of heavier armor and armor plate.

RATING

One or two hits versus light to medium blaster pistols. One hit versus light blaster rifles with first degree burns. Glancing blows deflected from vibro-weapons.

DESCRIPTION

Created through the interweaving of several lightweight materials, these robes were manufactured to provide limited resistance versus small-arms blaster weaponry and vibroweapons. Appearing as a somewhat stiffer set of flowing robes, they are however luxurious looking thanks to the use of silk from the arthropod family known as Shell Spiders and inclusion of expensive Nanoweave. Dyed in Manganese Violet for personal taste. The sleeves are free flowing, somewhat longer than the arms of the wearer with the cuffs inlaid with silver thread. The robes themselves beyond the slight ornamentation along the cuffs appeared ribbed, and knotted the hood, lacking the silver work is of the same purple hue as the remainder of the outfit. Covering the throat, and part of the breastbone is a worked silver-clad, thin Ciridium segmented plate.

Please bear in mind this is my first submission on the tech board. As such I'd love it if some help could be had to get the most out of this submission. :)

i guess after reading this i'm wondering "what makes this different then generic armor/robes?"
you could probably have this in player workshop under generic tech and then just link to it from your bio/thread posts so people have an idea of what it is. especially since it's a personal design and not meant to be used by a multitude of other people.

I actually brought this up with Kiro earlier, and she said it was to be a submission. So that's pretty much why it is here. I didn't think if it could be a generic tech item at the time however. ;";

if kiro said so then she has her reasons. maybe because it's robes and lightweight but still has a fair amount of resistance for cloth that isn't super stiff. we'll see.

Yep, if you had any insights on what could be useful on this Dara, feel free to let me know. :) That's partly why I wanted it here as well as Kiro's mentions.

I haven't delved into anything like this before. The closest i've come is a bodyglove to a normal suit of armor but that's it.

I don't see any issues. Though, please, @Intratec - please be aware that blasters will also leave heavy bruises or broken bones. These things explode when they hit you, after all.
