Ruined Jedi Temple---Ossus---0900 Standard Hours

Kane stood by the boarding ramp of the small shuttle he had requisitioned for himself and Tynian as it touched down near the ruined temple on Ossus, he had not been to this temple since long before it had been destroyed by the Exile attack that had ruined it. The shuttle landed smoothly and the ramp lowered with a soft hydraulic hiss, Kane exited the ship as soon as the ramp was down and looked around to be sure that there were no hidden enemies. He didn't see anyone but he could feel...something.

He wore his Jedi robes and under the sleeves of the brown outer cloak he wore his vibro claws, just in case something went wrong and he lost his lightsaber.

After his quick inspection he headed back into the shuttle to find Tynian.
"We have arrived Tynian. I know this isn't the most exciting of missions, we are here to do a quick patrol of the temple and see if any artifacts were missed by our people or by the vultures that picked it over after we left. Shouldn't be too dangerous but be on your guard, I sense something. Some small disturbance in the force."

The old Sentinel hoped nothing would go wrong for Tynian's first mission, but in his experience what you hoped for was usually the farthest from what you got. The location of this mission was also something of a test for the boy. Kane knew his apprentices family was here, and he wanted to see how Tynian would react to being so close. technically a Jedi was to sever ties to his family, however Kane saw no harm in letting the boy have a visit when they were done. "So Tynian, are you ready to conduct your first official Jedi business?" he asked with a grin.

Remember kids, no killing or maiming (unless someone wants to be maimed i suppose, then it's okay.)

Tynian had sat in quiet anticipation as they traveled to Ossus for his first “official” mission. He knew being home would be different and he had hoped that he could visit his family, but he couldn’t let that distract him from what he and his master were there for.
As the ship landed and the ramp opened the Ysanna stood and headed to join his master.

Zane explained the mission, but also instructed Tynian to be careful. He knew the Jedi well enough not to take that warning lightly, so he put away his thoughts of home and focused on the task ahead of them.
“So Tynian, are you ready to conduct your first official Jedi business?”
Zane asked him.

Jedi business” went through his mind... he hadn’t even considered himself an actual Jedi yet... “maybe when this mission is done I’ll feel more like a Jedi” He put that thought away quickly as well, he didn’t need that kind of distraction either. So he checked his belt making sure his lightsaber was securely fastened to his belt, and then let the force calm him.
“Yes Master, I believe I am ready.”

Serie paused as she was scaling the rather large cliff she was forced to climb to get to the back entrance of the old Jedi temple here on Ossus. She took a moment to wipe some of the swest off her forehead with the back of her hand before putting her gloves back on and continuing the climb. She could see the top of the cliff already. She found a good place for her feet again and ascended as quickly as she could.

Finally she managed to get up to the top. She let of a few deep sighs and sat down, enjoying the landscape for a few minutes. She had her lightsaber as always clipped on her belt, along with the three others she had taken from Jedi she had killed. She had finished making the sheath for the vibrosword she had taken from the pirate captain zoon, although she had left that on her ship, not wanting to have something that big on her while she had to climb such a steep cliff. After a few more minutes of looking at the landscape and drinking some water she got to her feet and started making her way into the temple, using the force to open the rear entrance stone door. She casually looked behind her, making sure no one else was in sight, then made her way into the ruined temple. There had to be something the Jedi had left behind. She wasn't hoping for a holocron or anything like that. No, she merely needed more Jedi scripts to finish decoding her books. Perhaps here she could find some, and with some luck, not find any Jedi.

"I don't know if you ever saw the temple here before it's destruction, it was a very long time ago that I was here but I remember it being magnificent." Kane told Tynian as they made their way into the ruins of the Ossus temple.

The place was a wreck, rubble everywhere, the odd half destroyed book strewn about, toppled statues. A mere shadow of the grandure the Jedi once enjoyed.

Kane still had a bad feeling, sonething was wrong here. Weather it was a person, an animal or even just residual dark energy from the Exile attack he could not say yet. All he knew was that they needed to be very careful. He hoped Tynian felt it too, the boy was quickly becoming stronger and stronger in the force and the old Sentinel was sure that his apprentice would feel the bad vibe as well.

Tynian was in awe of the old ruins. He had never seen anything like this before. The ceilings had fallen down in sections which allowed the sun's light to come in, which also cast eerie shadows in the places where the sun couldn't touch. Debris lay strewn everywhere and for some reason a strange breeze blew through the place.
As they walked, Tynian felt a slight chill in the air. "Master, I'm not sure why, but I feel oddly cold. Which shouldn't happen since it's so hot outside. I feel the force is trying to reveal something that wants to remain hidden."
The Ysanna used the force to stretch out a bit just to see if anything was really out there or if it was just his imagination playing games with his thoughts..."I can't shake the feeling that something or someone else is in the temple." He looked at Zane knowing the Jedi would use this to teach him, so he took the initiative and asked the question that had formed in his mind. "How do I use the force to see if I'm right or not... what would I be looking for exactly?"

Serie was not too happy so far. She couldn't find anything admist the ruins, not one book seemed to be intact. She was thinking about going further down into the temple when she she thought she heard voices coming from further in the temple ahead of her. Mentally she cursed everything there was in the known universe to curse. She knew it had to be Jedi, who else could it be but her favorite buzzkills.

She stepped back into the shadows and began clouding herself with an aura of the dark side. It would mask her presence, as well as cloud things for the Jedi should they try sensing anything. While Serie fully realized that this might alert them to her presence as well, at the very least with this option, she would remain unseen and her location unknown until she decided to make the first move.

Being as cautious and careful as possible, she continued to sneak further into the shadows, scaling a bit of rubble till she was in the rafters. She contorted her body in a way that she was totally invisible from below as she laid on the beams and waited for the unknowing Jedi to pass underneath her. Once they did that she would probably be able to get the jump on them from behind. She hoped so anyways and she controlled her breathing so that she literally wouldn't make a sound as they went by.

"That is exactly what it is Tynian. I sense it too." kane answered his apprentice, the boy's sense confirmed that it was not just him who felt a presence. "Clear your mind and reach out, feel everything. But be wary, the Sith know tricks to cloud the force. The dark side corrupts everything my apprentice." he explained.

Kane took his lightsaber off his belt and reached out with his own senses, there was a cold darkness out there but he could not pinpoint it's source. All he knew was that it reeked of the dark side.

"Be on your guard my boy, this mission just got a hundred times more dangerous." he said to Tynian quietly.

Tynian followed his master's lead and took his lightsaber off his belt. His heart started beating faster, but he calmed himself as he was taught to do by Zane. Once he had his nerves under control he used the force to reach out to his surroundings. His senses heightened as he felt the floor, the walls around them, the air and the ceiling... He could feel a darkness somewhere, but he couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from.
"How can the dark side cloud the force?" Tynian asked.

Serie was right about her masking herself alerting the two Jedi. They became extra cautious as they continued on, totally unaware that she was lurking right above them. She slowly peaked her head out as she saw a older, bearded Jedi, obviously the master, and a teenage looking boy go past. She smirked just a bit. They probably weren't going to be the biggest threat in the world to her, but that didn't mean she would be careless. Just simply at the moment she didn't consider them a challenge.

After they had just made it past her, she quietly descended from the rafters like a nexu stalking it's prey. She would have to pick her target rather carefully, if she wanted to get the first strike in. She then paused for a brief moment. She thought to herself that she didn't really want to just jump down on them without first gauging out their abilities. She was thankful of her cautious nature, thinking she very well could have bitten off more than she could chew by getting dangerously close to the two Jedi males. Instead she simply dropped down from the rafters extremely gently and quietly and summoned her lightsaber to her hand telekinteicly. She then used the force to cause a bit of debris from above to crumble downwards, though they would have little time to react to it, they would still hear it start to fall and more than likely have enough time to get out of the way. Then she would activate her lightsaber and let her presence be known. She was all about theatrics and she knew the impact it would have for them to be ambushed like this then turn to see her standing right behind them, red blade in hand. She smiled and slightly tilted her head to the side. The names Serie Fond. It's a pleasure. She said quite pleasantly and softly, although the maliciousness could be seen in her yellow eyes.

For some reason his senses went wild... With the force already guiding him, Tynian dodged the falling debris and rolled to his right. In a fluid motion he came to his feet while igniting his white double-bladed lightsaber...
In front (now) of them stood a woman. She was pretty, except for her yellow eyes, which seemed to burn in hate and contempt for him. He didn't quite understand why this exile hated him so much (she didn't even know him) but he pushed the puzzle aside as he refocused the force around him...
Then she announced herself. He didn't expect that.
In fact, Tynian almost laughed despite the seriousness of the situation, but kept it under control. He figured he'd let his master do the talking for now...

Kane had been about to yell to Tynian to look out but the boy was already moving, the old Sentinel did a quick force-assisted jump back to avoid the debris -while flexing the muscle that would bring the grip on his left hand vibro claws into his palm (but keep them inactive and concealed for the time being)- and activated his yellow lightsaber as he turned to face their attacker.

"Knew I smelled Exile...oh right, you call yourselves 'sith' now dont you?" he growled in a tone he hadn't used since he was a crusader on the front lines.

He looked to Tynian, the boy seemed a touch nervous but determined. He knew his apprentice was a good fighter, so he wasn't all too worried about the boy. Even though this sith seemed very powerful.

"Feel free to kriff off darksider. This doesnt have to get ugly." he said in that same tone. And cursing, Kane never cursed. His soldier self was coming out now.

Serie smiled at the two Jedi, her eyes narrowing at the mention of exiles now being called Sith. Apparently the Jedi were aware already of the union of the Sith and exiles. She giggled for a few moments when the Jedi tried to say it didn't have to turn violent.

I suppose you'll just let me take whatever I want then? She asked sarcastically and rhetorically. She looked back and forth between the two of them, her eyes flickering constantly, before her free hand undid her cloak and she took her stance. One elbow high at shoulder level, the other drawn across her body holding her lightsaber loosely in her fingers. She knew this more than likely wouldn't be over quickly and prepared herself for a marathon fight. She would let them make the first move, while she continued to gather her power, the dark side emanating from her could be felt by the Jedi and they would feel as cold as she always did. She exhaled loudly and continued to channel the dark side of the force through her.

An actual fight! Tynian thought. He brought his weapon up in a defensive position... he wasn’t sure just how good this Sith was and he was still only an apprentice.
The aura the woman was surrounded by was cold, but not unnerving. In fact something within his very soul held fast to the light side giving him a quiet confidence. He had trained for this...so he let the force flow through him uninhibited.

As the two sides faced each other Tynian still waited for Zane to make the first move...

"There is nothing for you here Sith,[/color=yellow]" Kane spat, "This is a Jedi place, not for dark side mongrels like you.,

As he spoke Kane simultaneously sent a message to Tynian telepathically Follow my lead and don't try anything too flashy. he hadn't taught Tynian how to do that yet but he hoped the boy wouldn't be too distracted by it.

The Sith woman took a very defensive stance, so Kane decided to lead with Makashi. He rushed in, using the force to speed and strengthen his movements. He began first with a high feint towards her head, using a tight circular motion to turn it into an upwards strike at her left hip at the last second.

There are things that I want here. She said in response to the Jedis remark. And let me tell you, I'm getting what I want today, and you're not going to stop me! She said, her voice going from cool and calm to quite angry towards the end. She really was tired of these Jedi always trying to stop her.

Series eyes lite up as the Jedi came charging at her. For an older guy he seemed to move pretty quick she thought to herself. She was also thankful that she had been training with Vincent recently as the Jedis style was very similar if not the same. Serie didn't fall for the front and instead twirled her lightsaber to build some momentum as his true strike came at her left hip. The end of her blade caught his just at the hilt and redirected it away from her easily.

Serie used the spare second she had bought herself to deliver a swift side kick to the Jedis chin. It wouldn't take him out of the fight by any means, but it would give her a bit if space to deal with the other Jedi. The other Jedi was obviously an apprentice and was just following his master, wouldn't be able to get close enough to her to interfere with the kick, as she had reacted a bit too quickly. Once the kick was delivered she would side step and take her defensive stance again.

Tynian came in after Zane, twin blades twirling... then he used a feint to try to bait the Sith into blocking high as he switched the attack at the last minute toward her legs.

His style was a lot like the Jedi’s but with several differences stemming from his being trained with a staff by the warriors of his tribe... and he liked to use his own style mixed with others instead of being stuck to just one...

In the midst of his attack he used the force to try to plant one of her feet to the ground to keep her from moving as easily. He had used it against his master with success... he figured he’d see how it worked in this situation.

Kane hadn't been expecting the kick, he reeled back as Tynian went in. He shook his head to recover and darted back into the fray.

As Tynian made his feint Kane jumped -still channeling the force- over the Sith, doing a somersault mid-air and swinging at her left bicep. As he landed he turned to face her and sent a force push at her back.

Serie watched as the older Jedi went reeling backwards, and then as his apprentice came charging in. She wished she could have told him that doing the exact same move as his master, just at her right side instead of her left was pretty foolish, but she didn't have time for that now. She caught his blade long before it came near her and held it at bay. As the boy tried to summon the force to use on her she quickly summoned a force shield around herself. Given the fact that she excelled primarily in force abilities stopping the attack was like child's play to her. Which was fitting she thought as she was basically fighting a child.

As her master came running back in he did a quick jump and sumersaults into the air over series head. She angled her body to the side and tucked her arm ever further into herself, safe and away from his yellow blade passing by. As he landed behind her she felt another ripple in the force and maintained her force shield. While his push was much stronger than the boys, it was still not that hard to defend against. She twirled away and brought her lightsaber back up in her usual position. The fact that the old man was using ataru now would prove to be his downfall. She thought to herself. Given his age, and the fact that he's fighting at a sprint pace already, he's not going to see the later rounds of this fight. She continued 9n in her own head. She would continue to play things smart and gauge out their skill sets before letting loose. They on the other hand would be free to continue their all out assault, but they would fund themselves extremely tired, while she kept up her stamina by pacing herself very well.

Tynian felt he was being played with... like a cat with a mouse.
It didn’t deter him, but it made him think. One of his strong suits was that he was a quick learner, so he would use that to his advantage.
Instead of pressing the attack “all out” he lessened it slightly and kept the basics attack moves of lightsaber combat going, just to gage just how good this Sith really was... and maybe he would learn a bit about her style and how to counter it. And it may keep her guessing and busy enough for Zane to do what he needed to do...

Kane realised this blitz style assault was not going to end any way but with his own exhaustion, so he decided to change it up. He flicked the length adjuster on his saber, extending it by an extra foot.

Then he stepped in towards the Sith, brimging his saber in a wide strike toward her left arm and then around in a more precise strike toward her right. Next he would twirl to his right and duck, sweeping his saber low to swipe at her right shin. While sending a force push up at her chest. He knew she had a force sheild up but was resolved to try and break her concentration.

With the added length of his saber he could move more precisely without expe ding as much energy, but as he rose from his strike at her shin he took up his Makashi stance again. Switching to that stance to conserve energy.
