Admittedly, Ferrin had mixed feelings about being back in the field. It had only been a few weeks since the fiasco on Bercest - and sooner since the Pantoran was released from the hospital. It had earned him and the rest of Scrub Squad quite a bit of fame amongst the Order, and should have been a point of pride. Even still, he couldn’t help but dwell on everything that it had cost him. The laceration across his throat had healed into a thin, horizontal scar - but the damage to his vocal chords was less quick to heal.

It wasn’t entirely clear whether it would heal at all - and it was a loss that weighed heavily on Ferrin. Much of his personality revolved around his quips and smooth talking, and had successfully gotten him out of multiple different situations. It was a dramatic blow against the very core of who the Pantoran was, and it took all of his energy to prevent allowing his mind to slip into dark places.

The mission to Glavis offered a rather welcome escape from the looks of pity and ‘How are you feeling’ sentiments that he seemed to get at every corner.

According to their mission brief, there had been a sizable uptick in crime occurring across the Ring-world - most concentrated in the BG-8 segment of the station. The death of an IGBC magistrate at the hands of a local gang had been enough to warrant the attention of the Jedi Order, who had dispatched a Jedi and a pair of Padawan’s to investigate. Their job was, in theory, to locate the killers and disrupt the gang's activities.

While he had the option to travel directly from the Jedi Temple, Ferrin instead arrived at the Station a few hours ahead of schedule - owing to his usual routine of scoping out the area. He wanted to get a lay of the land, and more importantly to fuck around for the little bit of free time he had before things got serious.

For the moment, Ferrin was perched outside of a coffee shop - idly sipping from an iced caf in his hands. A quick glance at his chrono revealed that his two companions would be arriving soon, and prompted the Pantoran to down his beverage a bit quicker. For once, he was actually dressed in someone that vaguely resembled mission attire - albeit far more extra and exaggerated than most Jedi. His saberhilt was clipped discreetly to his hip, tugged just out of view to most people.
