Cuyan had done some research before this task, but it wasn't a lot of research and his sources were questionable. The first hit against the factory was easy. They got some parts to sell and would be able to get about half of their goal just with those. Next phase would be getting the rest of the credits to pay for some new gear. High tech, illegal goods would be sure to make the Imperials squirm. The credits to get them were inside an office building on Taris. A few blocks away from the factory they hit earlier that week was the main office for the company running it. After the hit they ordered extra security and would have to authorize payments.

Whenever a company gets robbed, they always up security for a month or two. But they also store tons of extra credits to pay said security.

The local scum had good ideas and Cuyan believed him. It was great because the security would be hired for the factory, not for the office building. That meant the Mandalorians could hit it hard, hit it fast, and get some serious credits before fleeing the planet. By the time authorities, Imperials, and those guards caught on they'd be long gone. That was the plan at least.

Driving the Technical back into town felt like a victory lap from earlier victories. This time it would not really be needed to haul things so Cuyan hid it better. No one would be using it against them at least but it would be a bit further to flee to it. He had everything planned for the perfect heist. Until he spotted the guards through the windows and in the alleys.

"There must be about a dozen guards around this place." He uttered in disbelief to his partners. "My source is going to get a boot up his..."

Cuyan stopped for a moment as a guard passed nearby on a patrol. This was not going to be quite as easy as he had told everyone. Glory or death would be a real possibility with this kind of firepower. The Ordo clansman knew that backing out would be shameful so they had to still hit this.

"No backing out now, we are Mandalorians, they are Imperial. We will have victory." He uttered to his new friends just before moving around the corner to sneak attack the patrolling guard with a sword.

Blood dripped onto the sidewalk and coated the vibrosword as it pierced the guard's neck. It was a quiet kill and one of mercy. Cuyan would shove the body out of sight behind a dumpster before moving closer to the office. There were many more guards to face and once they started firing, it would be chaotic. He at least wanted to get inside the building before setting off the alarms.

Stealth was not exactly Leandros’ natural state of operating. Actually, he could likely count on his hands the number of times he had actually opted to do anything stealthily. Even the operation in which they stole a corvette, he and Tanx simply walked through the middle of the shipyard without opposition, accomplished their task, and walked away. So, when the time came for stealth, he was not exactly the most qualified of the Badgers. That, of course, did not mean that he was completely inept; he simply preferred going loud. It kept things fresh.

The trio moved through the city, riding off the high of the previously-successful heist. They knew they could complete this next one. There was absolutely no chance of failure. So, when they realized that the amount of guards here at the office building were more than double that at the factory, Leandros was in no way worried. They had the gods on their side! Cuyan, the Ordo bastard with whom Leandros was working solely because it benefitted him, tried to inspire the group with his speech. This worked flawlessly. Something about “We will have victory,” or whatever – Leandros was not actually paying attention – had such a profound impact that Leandros shouted to the heavens, "DIR MALYASA’YR NANU’A MHI NUHAATYC AT CUUN BU’YRAOETR!”

Belief was all that he needed. His faith was powerful enough that if he simply believed he was stealthy, then Kad Ha’rangir and Hod Ha’ran would work in tandem to make him so. He would be a force to be reckoned with!

Unfortunately, that was not the reality. While Cuyan dispatched his guard quietly, another nearby very clearly heard and saw Leandros. The man raised his rifle and shouted, but it was too late. Leandros fell upon him, bringing his vibrosword overhead in a scything motion before crashing downwards diagonally and taking his head and right arm off at the shoulder. He slumped to the ground in three pieces, blood spurting out like a fountain. ”GAR ENTEYOR URMANKALAR IBAC GAR VA SUBAY CUYIR HAA’TAYLIR!” he shouted to his comrades, his armor already coated in blood. Mind you, this was in broad daylight on a sidewalk in front of their target office building.

Stealth was optional for this mission.

Before Wyatt knew what was happening as the Ordo skillfully gathered intel worth nothing but bantha droppings on what this second job was going to look like, as from the combined estimation there was a dozen men present when there should have been no more than four or five. But the recent attack on their manufacturing facilities was enough to cause some worry, and it was smart of them as Wyatt watched Cuyan sneak forward producing his vibroblade and dispatching the first guard that was near. Dropping him in the street before moving towards an entrance, it was smooth... Until it wasn't.

Leandros tripped over a garbage bag causing another nearby armed guard to become spooked, turning to face Leandros he raised his weapon far too late as the blood thirsty warrior was upon him and Wyatt was close behind as he relished in the blood of a fresh kill. But there was a much more pressing issue as Wyatt moved past the raving man he watched as a patrolling duo rounded the corned from the other side of the building and an armed duo sporting rifles at the ready exited the front presumably to investigate the carnage that happened only moments ago.
"Die fighting, in the air or on your feet..."
Wyatt growled to himself as he raced forward, opting to leave his bowcaster behind in this CQC situation armed only with his blaster pistols and lightsaber. Quickly pulling blaster from leather he quickly took aim at the duo clustered who had just rounded the corner of the building taking a minimalistic profile stance with his one blaster drawn he quickly fired three bolts in their direction. Catching on in the shoulder and then the back as he spun grabbing his shoulder, leaving his partner open as he began to ready his rifle too late it seemed as the third bolt caught him square in the chest. But now the fire came in his direction as three mandalorians boldly in armor stood on the sidewalk tearing through security like a child with ice cream, one of the two responding guards from inside the building took a knee and began firing while the other retreated. Closing the double glass door and running for an alarm or security measure leaving his partner to be dispatched, but under the fire Wyatt had to maneuver; taking a glancing shot that bounced off of his shoulder as he picked up speed.

The buildings security shutters began to activate as the man inside had gotten to the switch, the security guard outside still firing as he rose and began back peddling for the door was the opening Wyatt needed. While in a dead sprint he activated his jet pack and was around the mans waist in the blink of an eye, careening and then crashing through the barricade and double glass doors with a cacophonous sound as he tumbled across the floor letting go of the man he had used as a battering ram, tumbling until skidding to a halt in the lobby.

Cuyan watched in a mix of horror and amusement as Leandros tossed any semblance of stealth into the trash. It was time go hot and no turning back now. One of the guards had slipped inside and done some sort of lock down alarm. Cuyan had to get inside before that happened so he activated his jump boots to propel a leap at the end of a sprint. His armored shoulder smashed through a window and the Mandalorian rolled into the lobby as the gate crashed down behind him. Maybe this was good and would keep new guards from entering. Time would tell if this was a defense or a trap. Maybe a bit of both.

"Oya!" He shouted as he saw one of his partners was inside as well.

A guard was running away from them after hitting the alarm, likely heading upstairs to regroup with the other guards. They might as well shoot him in the back. It would bring him dishonor but that was what one earned for running. Cuyan pulled one of his pistols out of the holster and fired twice for center mass. The guard let out a yelp as he fell to the floor and died. Leandros should have been able to walk inside before the shutters, but Cuyan was not sure after giving the guard some chase. He would head back to where the others should be.

"Okay. We are inside. Those shutters might help now." He motioned to the security lock down on the outside. "A good amount of guards upstairs still, and hopefully no more able to get in for a bit. Let's move quick and take them out, grab the credits, and get off this world for good..."

Glorious slaughter! War! Blood for Kad Ha’rangir!

Leandros reveled in the slaughter. Blood still continued to spew from the wounds he cut into the man before him as Wyatt charged forth, providing covering fire. Three more guards dropped dead as he went crashing through the security barrier via jetpack, providing Leandros with an entrance. Simultaneously, Cuyan sprung forth and made his way inside the building as well, putting down the last remaining guard on the first floor. Leandros charged forward, vibrosword dripping with blood, and ran through the breach made by his comrade. Once inside, he realized the only way to go was up.

Still riding off the high of Cuyan’s little speech, Leandros did not think clearly about what going up the staircase into a room full of guards meant. Rather, he was so intent on killing something that he did not even swap his vibrosword for a blaster. Giving another scream, he stormed up the stairs with his vibroblade raised, stepping over the fallen corpse of the man Cuyan had shot. Not stopping to listen to what the Ordo man had to say, Leandros charged forth, screaming and laughing.

”WAAAGH- kriff!”

That was all he shouted before he immediately slammed back against a wall. Bolts whizzed by his head, pinning him behind cover. Since he very clearly telegraphed his presence, the five men in the next room knew he was coming up the stairs. They prepared their counterattack and sent a volley of bolts in his direction. Leandros, high off of holy rage, kept behind cover entirely out of instinct, not wanting to die just yet. Shouting aloud, he warned his comrades, ”GOORAR A GOORE O’R IBAC YAMIKA!”Since his foes did not speak Mando’a, he did not feel the need to disguise what he needed his comrades to do.

Getting up from his theatrical entrance with a groan he realized there was still one guard in the room with him, but as he found his target he was half way up the stairs and suddenly caught a bolt in the back. Cuyan had made his way through a window in the fashion Wyatt made his way through the front doors and may have even saved his life but that was a thought for later. Leandros barreled past with sword in hand, thirsty for blood that one always is making his way up the stairs for the next fight; only to yell for help over the din of a lot of blaster fire.

Now on his feet and coherent Wyatt knew they would need something better than a grenade if there were that many enemies present that even Leandros needed help. Quickly scrambling up the stairs and towards the doorway Leandros was stacked against with sword in hand, it was time Wyatt used his own as he began undoing the buckle on his bandoleer that was cylindrical and lighsaber sized. Locking eyes with Leandros under his helmet he shouted over the din as it began to lessen, the men seemed to be waiting for an entrance or may be forming a counter attack.

Thwwwwwuuuuuuuuummmm

The ominous and unmistakable sound of a lightsaber igniting cut the moment of silence like a knife as Wyatt held the crimson bladed silvered hilt backhanded in his right hand, strill blaster in his left.

"FOLLOW ME!"

Wyatt screamed in an attempt to reinvigorate his comrades and pump himself up for either certain death or whatever may face him in the next room as he rolled himself around the corner of the doorway with blaster pointed and saber in a defensive stance. But that was when the fire started again at least partially started as one of the now five men he could see stood wide eyed at the saber wielding mandalorian, who Wyatt immediately acquired for a shot but was only able to squeeze the trigger once hitting him in the hand causing his to drop his weapon and begin screaming. But his attention was taken by the four other men firing in varying degrees of inaccuracy allowing him to bat one of the bolts away and into the ceiling before he was forced to take cover behind one of the support beams in the room.

At least the word part was over. Cuyan had been certain of their death when the big brute screamed about being stealthy, only to ruin their quiet approach. The other two had gone upstairs in a rush for glory or something while Cuyan holstered his weapons and brought the Repeater out from behind his back. Based on the noises as he headed upstairs, he was going to need a lot of shots in a short amount of time. The other boys were in cover and did not seem to be making much in the way of progress. That had to change before they got flanked and killed.

"Oya!" He shouted yet again as he peaked the stairs and opened fire in a room covering spread. "Surrender and you might live!"

Bolts flew everywhere and the guards all ducked for cover. This would give his comrades a chance to get back out and flank so that the Mandalorians had the advantage. None of the guards were fatally injured by his cover fire but it at least did as was intended. Cuyan did pay the price for his action though as an early return fire seared the armor on his shoulder. It hurt like crazy but he couldn't stop putting out cover fire. As long as his partners did their job it wouldn't matter.

Leandros was, frankly, sick and tired of being shot at. The five men in the other room were laying down heavy fire against the three Mandalorians and it was becoming annoying. He did not expect this degree of resistance, especially after these men watched a good portion of their comrades die horrifically. Still, he admired their resolve. Even despite fighting better-trained enemies, they stood resolute in defending this office building. They must have been paid quite well. That meant that their payout at the end of this would be that much sweeter.

Leandros swapped out his vibrosword for his rifle, finding the melee weapon to be extremely impractical at this specific time. Unclipping a concussion grenade from his belt, he quickly threw it into the room, waiting the four seconds for the expected boom and silence as the men were stunned. Four seconds went by, then five… Nothing happened. Leandros swore loudly – he had forgotten to prime it! Instead of tossing a live concussion grenade, he simply unclipped and tossed the inert weapon into the room.

The men in the room paused for a moment, still taking cover despite it not being armed. Leandros saw his opportunity and poked out of cover, taking a shot at one of the guards. The man hit the deck, the bolt from Leandros’ weapon sailing harmlessly overhead. Leandros threw himself back behind cover, swearing even harder now that he was such an inept kriffing idiot. How did he forget to arm the grenade first? He must have been so blinded by his earlier blood rage that he lost some degree of combat competency. This was an embarrassing series of missions, to say the least.

Wyatt hadn't left the room, still behind a support beam and out of range of whatever Leandros had just thrown in the room, he hoped. Because after Cuyan's attempt to suppress the room had kept the enemies heads down his clansmen had followed up with a solid plan until the grenade didn't go off, Wyatt cursed having missed the chance to close and kill at least one of the men; but then they popped back up and Leandros managed to miss again. Mustering his courage as not all of the men had revealed themselves again he figured his best bet was to go for the man he'd shot in the hand earlier.

Coming around from the support beam and dashing towards his location Wyatt was able to take poorly aimed shots in the direction of the other four men only some of whom were firing intermittently in the trios general direction, clearly still awaiting the detonation. Upon reaching the mans crouched position behind an overturned desk Wyatt promptly plunged the crimson blade into his chest as he began to stand in an effort to fight or flee, but that was the exact time the other four security personnel realized there would be no explosion.

The blaster fire began again, this time Wyatt had nowhere to totally hide as he was parallel to a guard and the three others were in the direction they needed to advance. So thinking quickly he grabbed the body of the man he'd just stabbed after shooting in the hand earlier, holding him loosely with each hand as he still had a weapon in each and began to take the brunt of the blaster fire both around him and into his dead human shield; over the din he screamed in basic.

"GET IN HERE!"

The Manda was laughing at them today. What sort of horrible Mandalorians were these three? Cuyan was starting to wonder if he was ready for these bigger missions. Maybe when he got home, if he got home, it was time to refine some skills. That or something was just horribly wrong with that day in the office. It started so... almost smoothly. Now he was in an office unable to kill hired guns without issue. It was as if the gods had turned their favor away for the moment. This only fueled the Ordo's anger. He needed this heist to get better equipment. It wasn't exactly super honorable but it was against an enemy, sort of.

"Give it up!" He shouted as he jumped towards Wyatt and tried to shoot the guard pinning his partner.

It did not really go too well. Cuyan showed up but the flanking of the other guards made it impossible for him to get a clear shot. Between ducking for his life, the Mandalorian never got to help his friend and instead took a glancing blow off his right elbow armor. It stung like hell and just added to his pains. Cuyan groaned in anger as he tried to recover quickly and make another shot to the other guards. Again, there was no luck. The moment he popped out from cover, one of the guards sprayed the spot with blaster fire which grazed the Ordo's thigh armor. He pressed himself back into armor and roared out in both annoyance and pain.

"Damnit! Kill them!" He shouted at himself as much as at the other two, dropping his repeater in order to draw the two pistols. "No more games."

Leandros remained behind the wall, pinned by enemy fire, as his comrades charged in. Today was a horrible day for the three, as Hod Ha’ran’s fickle gaze fell upon them. He seemed to toy with and adjust fate to his liking, much to the chagrin of the Mandalorians. They were putting up a horrible fight, something more akin to Imperial soldiers than Mandalorian raiders. Why were they being punished? Why was Kad Ha’rangir ignoring his chosen? Who trained these Imperials? Leandros asked all these questions and more as the situation continually got worse.

Wyatt charged in but found himself pinned by four guards, using one he killed as a bodyshield. In time, he would find his cover useless and himself entirely exposed. With a shout, Leandros swung around his cover, bringing his rifle to bear. He fired a shot that sailed harmlessly past one of the guards, smacking into the wall behind him. Having gotten the man’s attention, Leandros hesitated for a moment, preparing to send another bolt his way. This hesitation proved dangerous, however, as the guard fired a shot towards Leandros. The bolt smacked into his shoulder, rocking him back from the impact. There was moderate bleed-through, and his arm began to sting like hell. There was likely some minor burns, bruising, and bleeding going on, but his adrenaline helped him ignore it for now.

The attack caused Leandros to duck down behind a low desk. He shouldered his rifle and returned fire, sending two shots towards the guard who shot him. The bolts slammed into his leg and chest, sending him twitching to the ground. At least he killed somebody. They needed to hurry up and get this over with, because he now had an injury that needed to be seen to.

His human shield was quickly getting torn to pieces as thank the gods, his partners came to help... Ungracefully as the day they were born the duo took the attention of the guards in the form of their ire, Cuyan getting hit what sounded like twice as he shouted in anger. Followed by Leandros attempting to take out one of the guards, only to find an opening on one focused on Wyatt, that left three in the room with the three mandalorian raiders.

Feeling like he had an opening, Wyatt held the body by the collar and extended his arm with the blaster to fire at one of the distracted men only for his partner to take aim and hit Wyatt in his exposed left side; just above the rib cage. With a howl Wyatt dropped the meat shield and did his best to dive over the nearest piece of cover which put his front towards the enemies, effectively being behind them and with a peak of his head around the corner of the cover he eyed the undetonated ordnance on the floor by one of the mans feet. With a half roll bracing himself on hands and knees with his left arm extended he took a shot at the piece of hardware, closing his eyes as he prepared for his death if this was any heavy demolitions.

But instead of a heavy heat he found himself covered with a concussive blast that sent him backwards and against another overturned desk, smacking his head hard and his vision faded to black for a moment. The explosion while small and not carrying fragmentation still carried enough force to carry the legs of the guard whose feet it landed at off of his body and sent his upper half backwards in Wyatt's direction; the second guard in close proximity who had stepped out the advance on Leandros and Cuyan was immediately rocketed backwards and through the now shattered windows. Finding the ground two stories below most likely his death as well, and the last would be left with a horrid case of tinnitus as well as the mandalorians and if they had been looking the vision mode on their visors would be overloaded for a moment.

The blast came without warning. Cuyan had just been about to pop up to unload his pistols when his hearing got jammed by that concussive force. It seemed to even the playing field just enough as he was able to fill the one falling towards Wyatt full of holes. That guard would be dead which left one in the room. One miserable guard who would be feeling the pain as well. Cuyan pointed both blasters towards the remaining guard and tried to look intimidating. It seemed they now had him surrounded and outgunned. Now would be a good time to surrender. They had no reason to need to kill these guys. The Ordo man was a bit upset at all the senseless killing for the money. These were not Imperial troops or even related to it directly.

"Surrender.... you can leave." But he couldn't hear himself speak so he hoped that's what he said.

Apparently the guard did not really understand either. Instead of a peaceful surrender and leaving the man jumped out the window where his companion had been tossed. He might survive that fall and get away, but either way he wasn't directly a problem anymore. Seems his hearing was probably shot too. Or he did not trust the Mandalorian brutes who just caused this mess of death. Maybe a bit of both. Cuyan decided not to care and instead made his way to back office area. The money had to be nearby, probably in a safe or in a locked drawer. They'd have to do a quick search and see how much they could find before fleeing. It was likely the effects of the grenade, but the Ordo man was not finding anything at first. A few locked drawers maybe but no safes, nothing. He kicked the desk and it landed on his foot. Insult to injury really at that point. More guards would show up any moment if they didn't find the payload and get out. Cuyan's failure to find it ensured that.

"Search the office for the payload!"
He shouted, only half hearing himself even. "Before more guards get here please..."

Leandros remained ducked behind cover for a few seconds, allowing his comrades to do their share. Truthfully, his shoulder hurt. As he popped his head up, he watched Wyatt shoot and detonate the concussion grenade. Barely ducking down in time, Leandros’ hearing vanished and was replaced with a horrible ringing sensation. Poking his head back up, he was able to witness the aftermath of the assault. Cuyan sent the final guard flying out of the window, officially ending their siege. Holding his hand to his helmet, Leandros scrambled to his feet and made his way to the others. His shoulder really began to hurt, now.

While Cuyan searched drawers and desks to no avail. With a scoff, Leandros walked over to the nicest-looking desk and opened the drawers. Inside, he found a scrap sheet of paper with the numbers “563205” written on it. Figuring it had to be some kind of code, he began looking around for the device the code was for. Having done this once on Onderon, he knew what to look for. Behind him, some kind of… art hung up on a wall. Seeing as how he no other form of lead, the Mandalorian reached up and pulled it down, revealing a wall safe hidden behind it.

He punched in the code and, Kad bless him, it worked. The heavy door swung open and revealed a fat stash of credits and bank notes. ”Here!” he said, reaching up to grab as much as he could. Realizing that his comrades likely had hearing loss, he turned and gestured wildly, pointing to the safe he found.

With the fighting all but over Wyatt sat back for a moment after rotating on the ground, looking down to make sure he hadn't taken any shrapnel but quickly realizing his ears were ringing without any ability to clearly hear. By Kad it was a concussion grenade! He counted his blessing as he watched the last combatant dive out the window and he scrambled to his feet following his comrades into the room they began turning over looking for the take, watching Cuyan come up empty Wyatt began scrounging around.

Coming up to a four drawer filing cabinet he tried the drawers but they were locked, probably a good sign as this was a more than standardly sturdy piece of equipment. Walking over to the desk and picking up a letter opener he pressed it in the lock as far as he could and then walked back out to the place they'd done battle with the guards, picking up a rifle and returning. Winding up like swinging a bat, Wyatt drove the side of the rifle into the letter opener thus slamming it into the lock on the highest cabinet and when he tried it again the unit slid open. With a moment of rummaging and reading Wyatt found a pair of certificates of deposit, only a couple thousand credits total but it would do.

Turning to see Leandros had removed a wall art piece and found a safe he offered a thumbs up and then received the motioning of it was time to go, to which he tapped Cuyan on the shoulder to indicate they were ready to get out of dodge. @Cazar @Painus

While Cuyan came up empty handed on his first search, the others found the loot in question. These were some nice pickings for sure. Now it was time to escape. Law enforcement and guard reinforcements had to be coming for them soon. The best bet was to jump out the window and book it for their ride. It was only a second story window and they had plenty of ways to jump with boots or other technology. It should be an easy enough escape route now that one window was already busted out. Cuyan took to a full sprint after acknowledging it was time to leave. He leaped through the window and activated his jump boots to get some good distance from the building when he landed.

"Oya!" He shouted in victory as he did so, which caused him to forget to land gracefully.

Rather than roll smoothly into a run, it became more of a tumble. Cuyan had also forgotten his injuries which screamed at him when he touched the pavement. He tumbled and stopped on the ground awkwardly for a moment before standing up. These wounds would need some time but it was nothing that would permanently scar or inhibit the Ordo warrior. He would live to complain another day, unfortunately. The technical was parked about a block away hidden under a tarp so he started booking it in hopes the others would follow.

Leandros gathered up all of the loot into a sack he brought with him, just like on Onderon. Having gotten a sizeable quantity of credits and other valuable goods, he turned to his comrades. His hearing was still damaged, but it was a dull ringing now more than total loss. Cuyan lead the way out of the window, leaping with his jump boots and, well, falling. The man lacked grace, that was for certain.

While Cuyan was busy tumbling, Leandros leaped out of the window, activating his jetpack as he controlled his descent downward, bag leaden with loot. He landed gently, coming into a slow jog as he did so. Cuyan was just ahead of him and heading towards the technical, so he followed suit. By now, his shoulder had begun to hurt even more. The bleed through of the direct bolt was more than he expected, and he knew there would at least be some pretty significant bruising there. Still, he was glad to be leaving here with his life and this loot, so he had to thank Kad Ha’rangir for these particular blessings.

The distance to the technical was not far, but it was when you were armed, covered in blood, and running away from the scene of a crime. It was officially time to go.
