Personality

Baldr is sixteen years old now. He's an introverted boy, having been left to his own devices for much of his childhood and quite isolated since the execution of his mother. He doesn't share his feelings with strangers, though he was always open with his mother. It's never been difficult for him to find ways to entertain himself. He was extremely close with his mother - for the first seven years of his life, it was always just him and her against the galaxy. Since her death, Baldr has become quite withdrawn and anti-social - making few friends and never joining social events.

He's deeply passionate about the religious aspect of the Dark Side of the Force. He showed great power in the Force even as a squirming baby, so Eir began teaching him very early on. Before he could even talk she was meditating with him and manipulating the Force to calm him and teach him of his own powers. As he grew, she taught him to use his powers and of the source of the Dark Side. Even as young as a young boy he would spend many hours pouring over old books, data files, and any other source of information he can find.

Baldr had never met his father, but before her death, Eir never hid information about Vash from him. He always absorbed all the facts he could about his father and treasured each story about him that his mother ever told him. Baldr wanted to meet his father and to have a relationship with him, but was afraid that Vash might be different than he expected. Eir also made it no secret why Baldr was growing up outside of the Sith Brotherhood. He doesn't know the specifics of his mother's experience with her Master, but he knows that there are plenty of Sith that are mean, evil even. He was afraid that perhaps his father is one of the evil people, since he didn't come with his mother when Baldr was going to be born.

Baldr doesn't know much about the situation surrounding his father's demise, but has heard whispers among the Academy's inhabitants that he had been foolish in chasing someone - asking for trouble. News of his last parent's death hit him hard, even though he had still never met Vash Condorro. The loss made him feel ultimately alone in the universe until he found out that he has family yet - a half brother and sister.

Skills

Baldr is still a teenager now, almost a fully grown man. His skills have been honed quite well over the years he has been training. His skills with the Dark Side have been growing exponentially since he was a baby. He's been at the Sith Academy on Korriban for seven years now and his technical skills have only grown and grown. Eir felt very strongly in a rounded approach to combat as a Sith Warrior and taught her son the importance of lightsaber skills in addition to Force skills. This is in accordance with the new Sith Empire's practice of training Sith Marauders - the area that Baldr was training for until recently.

Hand to hand and ranged combat skills are about average for Baldr, he has no particular talent in either. He has zero interest in ever learning any slicing skills, and his knowledge in explosives and medical techniques are basic at best. He's not a very good pilot, but having lived for so many years aboard a small ship he picked up a few tricks of the trade. He's actually fairly interested in learning more, when he might have a chance to.

Hand to Hand Combat: XXXXXXXXXX
Melee Combat: XXXXXXXXXX
Ranged Combat: XXXXXXXXXX
Force Abilities: XXXXXXXXXX
Slicing: XXXXXXXXXX
Explosives: XXXXXXXXXX
Piloting: XXXXXXXXXX
Medical Expertise: XXXXXXXXXX

Strength: As a teenager Baldr has grown into a tall, strong young man. He now has muscle to support his frame and trains to ensure he can stand his ground against any enemy. That said, he is no juggernaut and relies more on agility than stronger men.

Constitution: Healthy as a growing boy can be, Baldr doesn't get sick often and his endurance during training is average.

Dexterity: Baldr uses quick feet and hand movements to stay ahead of his enemies. As his frame isn't built for brute strength he relies on agility and cleverness to outwit his opponents.

Intelligence: An intellectual through and through, Baldr has a higher than average intelligence. He soaks up knowledge from anywhere he can find it.

Wisdom: Baldr's still a boy. He might think he's wise, having lost both of his parents and experienced life around the galaxy, but he's really not. Not yet, anyway. As a teenager he has become more brash and overly confident in his abilities.

Charisma: He used to be a very sweet boy, but since his mother was executed Baldr withdrew into himself. He no longer has fun hanging out with others his age, instead preferring his own company to anyone else's. He can be sweet at times, but usually when he's interacting with others his mind is elsewhere and he doesn't bother to hide the fact from anyone. He likely comes off as a daydreamer or rude to most people.

Background

Baldr's mother, Eir, felt very strongly about allowing her son to make his own decisions about his life. She didn't want him to grow up in the Brotherhood with the expectations that went along with that life - she didn't want him to end up in a terrible Apprenticeship like she did. Thus, Eir left the Brotherhood and Vash, Baldr's father, without any notice. She had been intending to become a freelance mercenary, but was soon approached by Corvo Vis who was the Dark Lord of the Sith at the time. He asked her to secretly work for the Brotherhood, so that is what she did.

Baldr grew up in a small ship, moving from place to place frequently with only a nanny droid to keep him company most of the time. His mother was out on important missions quite often, but he usually understood that she was working to support him. His entire life, Baldr was left to his own devices a lot of the time, so he learned to entertain himself early on. His love of learning blossomed and he spent hours studying even as a young child.

When Corvo chose to step down from the mantle of Supreme Leader of the Sith Brotherhood, he personally asked Baldr's mother to take his place. Eir first had a conversation with her son, asking him what he wanted for his life - if he might want to join the Brotherhood. Baldr eagerly told her that he wanted to join the Sith and learn all they could teach him. Eir thought that if she was the leader of the entire faction that she would be able to protect her son and ensure he had his choice of Apprenticeships. So she accepted, only to be captured and executed by the Republic very shortly after.

Baldr learned of his mother's death aboard her Star Destroyer and immediately spiraled into despair. His mother had been the only person in his life! What would he ever do without her? There was Vash, his father, but Baldr hadn't ever met him and didn't know him. There was no one for him, no friends or family or guardians. He had no way to dispel his grief other than to throw himself into his studies, so that's what he did. He became aggressive in the Academy training program, not only with combat training but also with other studies.

Four years Baldr spent training as an Acolyte before he heard the news of his father's demise. He didn't know much about how it had happened, but this news sent him into another bout of depression as he believed he was now completely alone in the universe. Around the same time, he unexpectedly learned that Vash Condorro had fathered other children - Baldr had a half brother and a half sister. During the next five years, Baldr did his best not to annoy his brother while also trying to be with him at every possible moment. Virion was often away finding glory for himself and the Empire, leaving young Baldr wishing he was older.

Long has the religious side of the Dark Side of the Force appealed to the young Morrigan, much as it did to his mother. Baldr was taught to believe not in the faction that supported the Dark Side - be it the Sith Brotherhood, Empire, or whatever else - but instead to rely on the Force itself. Now that he has nearly completed his training to become a Sith Marauder, Baldr has made the decision to join the Inquisition instead. He believes he will learn more under the Templars, Inquisitors, and Priests of the Inquisition than he would under the power hungry Marauders and Lords of the Empire.

Brothers in the Shadows || Pre-Time Skip || I can't believe I met my brother! I mean, he's my half brother - Vash was his father too. And I guess I have a sister too! I was just getting to feel so terrible, like I was all alone in the universe without Mother and then after I found out that Vash died too. The Force must have guided us to each other. We had a little bit of a disagreement, but what can one expect? It's not like we were raised together with the same ideals or anything. I think our ideas about the Force are the same, which is the most important thing when it comes right down to the future.
