Barack Obama... unable to run?

According to a radio station I heard, Obama might not be able to run for president because of his birth in Hawaii.

Apparently, your parents have to have lived in Hawaii for 5 years previous to the birth, and five years afterward. Barack's mother might not fit this stipulation. An a Canadian woman, said a little later, that if Barack can't run for president, he might have to resign from senate.

Barack won't turn over his birth certificate, either.

That makes absolutely no sense and I think whoever was talking about it has no idea what they're talking about. Barack Obama was born in 1961, two years after Hawaii became a state. There wouldn't be any restrictions on that.

Besides, there were questions about whether or not McCain could run because he was born on a military base or something. That was ruled fair game so there's no way they're going to rule any other way here, assuming this isn't totally made up.

And why would he have to resign from the Senate? You don't need to have been born in the United States to be a United States Senator. Seriously, these people have no idea what they're talking about sometimes.
