The raging darkness is an offense intolerable to disciples of the light.
The Order stands as the vanguard of all that remains good in this galaxy, the ideal city set on a hill. Its flame in the night, however, is threatened, able to be snuffed out in but a moment while the disorganized knighthood scrambles to defend itself and the republic it is sworn to protect.
The Jedi have served as generals, diplomats, warriors, peacekeepers, but now the time for contemplation, for negotiation has passed; with the Alliance's sovereignty being further encroached upon with each passing day if we do not rally to the call of our leaders we will be extinguished from history as our ancestors were before us.
Vigilance has left our hearts, but it is not a permanent ailment; we can restore ourselves to the course if but a few will rise with the courage of their convictions to pioneer the way to freedom and stamp out the Sith's insurrection. In the absence of a rallying cry from our leaders the masters of our brotherhood must step up to the plate and stand, unafraid, and brave the horrors of war.
Yes, the time for pacifism has passed, and war has snuck onto our front doorstep. The time is now to arise, united, to beat back this growing tide of malevolence. Fear and caution has plagued our order for long enough.

Appearance: Of slightly above average height but with a large build, Barnabas' heavy suit of armor was constructed specifically for his strong frame. His beard is a mainstay, and he only trims it when the situation demands him to do so. As a younger Knight he put together his own personal set of combat gear, including Bantha leather gauntlets, a customized utility belt, and a royal purple cloak that covers his ultrachrome coated durasteel plate armor. Barnabas has come to favor the increased defense against blaster bolts and bladed weapons in lieu of his slightly hindered movement.
