The Mandalorian armada had swept through the peaceful Alsakan system, one of the most prominent worlds in the long history of the Old Republic and the Galactic Alliance, much like it had at Brentaal and Anaxes—but it had been stopped short at the planet Alsakan itself. The Galactic Alliance had dug in here, knowing that this was the last stand for Coruscant and the entire Core itself.

The Alliance blockade hugged tight to Alsakan, obscuring huge swaths of the planetary surface and blotting out entire continents. A number of defense platforms, bristling with flak and anti-capital weaponary, had been positioned between the orbiting battle groups, complementing their efforts and allowing the Alliance fleet to rearrange and reinforce at will. Beyond the stations and starships, tactical mines were deployed by the hundreds of thousands, making any approach to the planet costly.

Just beyond turbolaser range, the Mandalorian armada had formed their own blockade. The rest of the fleet continued onward, securing the far end of the system to ensure that any reinforcements from Coruscant would not make it to the planet. The Mandalorian armada that had reached the planet’s orbit had made little progress.

The battle was little more than a stalemate, two sides staring each other down as each waited for the other to make the first misstep.

Finally, Mandalore grew impatient. He sent six of his super carriers towards the planet, and each fell behind massive asteroids that were towed into the system. Together, they pushed the giant rocks forward, keeping behind them so the asteroids took the brunt of the damage. They cut through the mines and the asteroids began to chip away at the blockade, finally clearing a path.

With the way through to the surface cleared, the Mandalorians were ready to make their last strike to control the skies of Alsakan. They launched thousands of assault pods and war droids towards the Alliance capital ships that served as the lynchpins of the blockade, as the asteroids themselves continued forward. Forced to concentrate their batteries on the fast approaching asteroids, the Alliance warships relied on their starfighter escorts to repel the assault pod attack—but that was nowhere near enough. The war droids swarmed ahead, overwhelming the Alliance fighters, as the assault pods found their targets and latched onto the capital ships, drilling straight through their hulls.

The battle for superiority had begun. If the Alliance forces repelled the invaders, preventing them from destroying the ships and completely clearing the near-impregnable Alliance blockade, the invasion would be stopped in its tracks. But, if the Mandalorians were successful, and the Alliance could not repel the boarding parties, the blockade would be finished—and Alsakan would fall. All that would remain for the Alliance was glory, the glory to fight to the last man and hold off the Mandalorian forces long enough to let the surface prepare its defenses.

Many would die, but this was the last stand of the Core. No one would forget the men and women of the Alliance who fought and died here.
Mandalorians: You and your team of commandos are aboard one such assault pod. You are headed toward the Alliance flagship, a Legendary-class Star Dreadnought. Coordinate with the other commando teams to overwhelm the crew and take command of the ship.

Alliance: You and a Marine fireteam under your command have just received word over the ship intercom of a hostile boarding action on all decks. You must attempt to repel the assault by any means necessary. If a general retreat is sounded or the ship is compromised, secure transport to the surface and rendezvous with the planetary defense forces.
Please remember, this isn't a competition. It's collaborative story-telling, so collaborate! Work together to make it an epic tale about how the GA struggled valiantly to defend the ship against all odds and held their ground for longer than anyone could have imagined. The outcome may be predetermined, but you can make it a hard won victory for the Mandalorians and a heroic defeat for the GA. It doesn't have to be short. Be detailed, but most importantly, have fun!

"Taung sa rang broka Mando'ade ka'rta.
Dha Werda Verda a'den tratu,
Manda'yaim kandosii adu.
Duum motir ca'tra nau tracinya.
Gra'tua cuun hett su dralshy'a.
"

The words of an ancient song, performed by warriors of an equally ancient culture. One which long predated the Republic. An ancient song that was well known to the loudest among those that chanted during the dangerous voyage through the cold void of space. While it lost some meaning once transelated into basic, the name of the song was the Rage of the Shadow Warriors. It was a title used by the Taung, a long extinct species, which had originated upon the world that would eventually be known as Coruscant. But as the chant went, the ash of the Taung beats strong within the Mandalorians' heart. The descendants of the ancient Taung. They were returning to the place where it had all begun, so many millenia ago. And they weren't about to let something as trivial as the Jedi or the men and women of the corrupt Galactic Alliance stand in their way.

"Kom'rk tsad droten troch nyn ures adenn.
Dha Werda Verda a'den tratu,
Manda'yaim kandosii adu.
Duum motir ca'tra nau tracinya.
Gra'tua cuun hett su dralshy'a."

The gauntlet of Mandalore strikes without mercy. And that gauntlet took the shape of thousands of assault pods impacting, and drilling into Alliance ships and orbital stations above the core world of Alsakan. As the pod, through a method of several powerful drills and industrial strenght cutting lasers breached the hull of the Alliance's flagship, it discorged it's cargo: Several well armed, highly trained, and highly motivated Mandalorian Warriors. All but three of them clad in armour distinctly similar to that of the ancient Neo-Crusaders, and all marked with the symbol of Clan Bralor.

The three that stood out within the group were clad in a specialized suit of Mandalorian armour, affectionally called the "Zakkeg". It made a single warrior into a mobile fortress, providing cover and protection for his or her brothers. And the warriors in these massive suits provided cover for the rest as they exited their assault pod. The last to exit, was by no means the least.

Carien Bralor. The War Master of the Mandalorian clans. Leader of Clan Bralor. A hunter of Jedi. As her feet stuck the durasteel deck of the Legendary-class dreadnought, a single word was spoken by her, and the rest of the Bralor warriors. A word that carried great weight and meaning for the Bralors, perhaps more than any of the Clans.

"Taung!"

Ben was stationed on the GA's Flagship. He had watched as the Mandalorians swept through the mine fields using the asteroids. Ben had stood, watched, surprised by the fact that the idea had been used. The next thing he saw was the assault pods. They had launched from the Mandalorian ships in the thousands. One such assault pod he had seen come for the ship he was on. A few minutes later he received a confirmation from a man monitoring the ships hull, an assault pod had drilled its way through.

Ben turned and exited the bridge, heading for the turbolifts. He entered them and they began descending to the deck that had been breached. The Mandalorians would pay for what they had done at Brentaal and Anaxes.

When the song ended there was a brief silence. Then, a Mandalorian began rhythmically began beating on his chestplate. His squadron began to do the same. Soon all of the Mandalorians in the pod joined in. The Mandalorian, Oyariyu, began the song with a long and bellowing, "Kote!". The silence returned. Then, from the same bellowing voice began the song to the beat of the chestplates. "Kandosii sa ka'rta, Vode an. Coruscanta a'den mhi, Vode an. Bal kote, darasuum kote, orso'ran kando a tome. Sa kyr'am nau tracyn kad, Vode an. Kandosii sa ka'rta, Vode an. Coruscanta a'den mhi, Vode an. Bal kote, darasuum kote, Jorso'ran kando a tome. Sa kyr'am nau tracyn kad, Vode an. Motir ca'tra nau tracinya. Gra'tua cuun hett su dralshy'a. Aruetyc runi cet slarycina solus cet o'r. Motir ca'tra nau tracinya. Gra'tua cuun hett su dralshy'a. Aruetyc cet slarycina runi trattok'o. Sa kyr'am nau tracyn kad, Vode an!" he sang. The voices of other individuals began in as he got further into it, eventually consuming the pod in melody. The song ended and one of the boys from the back let out a loud HAA-OOH! as they neared the ship they were about to board.

Oyariyu stood tall, with his weapons magnetized to his hips and back except for his main rifle, one of his family's creations, the JKR Combat Rifle. His squadmates carried weapons of various kinds, some of which, they may have even made themselves. But it mattered not what weapon they carried, for they were all warriors, all self-made weapons of Mandalore. Oyariyu stood over his men, with a wide grin. "If we die today, let us all take an Alliance hound down with us!"

TWO DAYS EARLIER...

"There you are boy. Come here." The sparsely gray haired Jedi Knight flicked his wrist with three quick waves for the young master-less Padawan to enter the personal chambers. Wearing a sorrowful disposition, the divine creature known as Lucifer Vapaelraizo stepped into the light amidst several other young men and women just like him. Those pale blue eyes of longing called through the portrait of Padawans like a ghost screaming from the distant moon as they were all told their role to play in the coming plans for defending Alsakan. Lucifer let most of the man's words slip past his notice, glazed over with events recently struck into memory. They were all so eager, as was Lucifer, but he just stared; eyes swollen as saucers and lips pursed unconsciously. The Knight went on and on about the Jedi's duty and the necessity for peace, instilling a sense of savior mentality in each and every last 'child' here. But Lucifer did not change. What were the Jedi to him but one savior of his own? She had cured his disease, but what of the rest of them. Who was he anymore? Who am I?, he asked himself. The Padawans cheered around him and before he realized it they were all filing around him towards the door. They were leaving already and Lucifer hadn't the slightest clue what was just said, in a trance unlike his usual state of chaotic abandon.

"Boy? Boy. Are you alright?" The Jedi Knight placed his hand onto Lucifer's shoulder and looked into his eyes with empathy, then gave a smile. He paused, just giving that look to instill even greater peace than words could. But Lucifer returned his own lost stare into the man's soul. "I... understand your friend's passing must have been hard for you", the Jedi revealed his knowledge of Lucifer's recent events. "But rejoice, for he has transformed into the..."

"He wasn't my friend", Lucifer quickly corrected. Slowly the shadows over his eyes lowered, his features finding their focus once more. His eyes became like sharp needles stretching into the Jedi Knight's pupils with the pricking of blood from their lenses. Lucifer almost frowned, finding himself in that very defiance. There he was. It cast a reflection in the man's eyes, frozen to the Padawan's emotion. The man was concerned, yet silent to his observation as his kindness was deflected so outright. Lucifer recalled the few words he had heard and where he was to go, the memory flinching into the twitch of his eye.

TODAY...

The memory flinched into the twitch of his eye, those pale blue eyes as cold as ice moons lost in their obits, those eyes reflected back at him in the glass. Slowly the scale of this massive scenery focused from the blur out beyond his own reflection, more to this moment than him alone. Out there were ships and platforms and droids and fighters and boarding parties. The sirens called, alarms rounding the roar of battle. The reflections of soldiers in their suited formations jogged past him in the reflection of the glass, passing behind where he stood; he just stood there. The fool.

The boarding party was coming. The Mandalorians were coming. The voice announced the timely awakening, as if from a dream. Lucifer noticed himself in the glass, dressed very much unlike him in the Alliance's orange and black plastic. Gloves and armor had been set over his clothes and he was appalled. He was only a Padawan, however, and needed to follow orders. He needed to show the Jedi that he was in control of his emotions and that he understood their tenets. But there in itself was his fatal flaw, seeing every aspect of the Jedi as 'their' qualities needing to be put on and worn like this armor.

Lucifer shook the thought from his head. No, he had made a promise. He had made two promises. He was to become the very image of perfection, and was to never kill a living soul no matter the case. He might have already broken his promises. But who else knew? Could he be cleansed more than once to become so perfected, or had the only chance been given forever forsaken? Lucifer's ambition would not allow even the slightest hesitation now, fists clenching life tighter into their grasp. He would hold it there in his fingers and never let go. The sparkle of silver at his side twinkled in Lucifer's eye in the reflection of the glass. His new lightsaber hung there beneath his right fist. Yes, he was a Jedi Padawan. He was a Jedi.

Lucifer spun around and stepped into a sprint through the current, all funneling towards the coming clash. Lucifer would be among them, leading if he had to. He was a survivor, he is a survivor. And he would ascend into the highest of heavens, the beauty of perfection still pale in his lips. With blaster and sword and lightsaber and armor, Lucifer was an agent of the Jedi still and he would see them survive!

The hull shook violently.

Assault Pods breached the ship.

No time to react.

The Mandalorian warriors had quickly broken through poorly trained security personel station to defend the ships interior. None would get by Samuel. Complete confusion and chaos reigned temporarily as Sergeant Samuel Illium of the Galactic Alliance Special Forces fought to regain control of the checkpoint outside the bridge. Mandalorians flooded in from down the hall and charged the barricades.

"Hold your position! Keep your aim steady and wait for them to get close!" He shouted to his subordinates defending the bridge. "All is lost if they get through us!" Sam layed down fire down the corridor and dropped the few foolish combatants who didnt take cover in the many rooms that lined the hallway. They could only temporarily keep the seemingly infinite amounts of enemies at bay, and they would need reinforcements soon enough. Lights flickered, allies fell, screams of the wounded covered the immense sound of blaster fire.

Not a single Jedi, whether padawan, knight or master, was there to help defend. They were occupied elsewhere. The Force would come in handy at a time like this. Samuel turned on his comm between shots, "Calling all avaliable Jedi and GA Security, we are taking heavy casualties defending the bridge. Requesting assistance!" Bursts of Taban Gas exploded on every surface. The Mandos got the idea to pop smokes to limit visibility. Samuel had thermal optics, but was one of the lucky few who did.

Confusion and chaos resumed.

The pod had been one of the last to hit the bridge, but many in the area could agree that it had hit the hardest. The pod joined itself to the wall by means of a drilling nose end, figuratively 'screwing' itself into the wall. Wasting no time at all, the Mandalorian threw himself into the fray with his JKR Combat rifle. The men who had the displeasure of standing in front of this man got 20 or more shots placed in them, peppering their body. Once into a wider hall, he brandished his greatsword, slicing through the enemies close enough to be caught in his circular swings. His men had dealt devestating damage, although not being invulnerable themselves taking minor losses. Combined with the other Mandalorians that had been sent to this area of the ship. Oyariyu turned to his men and lifted his helmet into the air, letting out a blood curdling war cry to initiate a further charge. Exclaiming words of encouragement in their native tongue he and his squad stormed after those that had fallen back. He then grabbed hold of his Scattergun and popped a couple shots at the retreating soldiers. "Pepper their arses!" one of his squadmates exclaimed. Grinning widely under his mask he held up his thumb and barrelled forward, as a mass of metal and flesh.

They were losing the fight. Samuel had an idea though.

"Sergeant Illium to bridge. Activate ray shields directly in the middle of corridor A1." He said into his comms. Corridor A1 was the hallway they were fighting in right now, and it would completely seperate the two opposing forces. Maybe this would buy his men enough time to recompose themselves and win the battle.

The ray shields almost immediately activated. The battle halted completely. And enemy forces stopped firing for the most part. Regular blasters could never penetrate the shield. "Everyone reload and ready thermal detonators! When the shields drop, catch 'em off guard and throw all you have at them!" Sam said as he rallied his men together. He still had no Jedi reinforcements, and would need help quick if they were to win. The enemy numbers were just too many. Maybe retreat would be an option to consider.

Just then, a shield had separated the two forces. While it gave the other side time to reload, it gave Oyariyu and his men time to find, or make, some cover. "Scattergunners! Be ready to aim for detonators! Something tells me they're gonna lay into us as hard as they can. Do NOT give them this opportunity!" He shouted back to his men and got behind an overturned crate. "Heavy gunners, get into a support position on the flanks! Be ready for a heavy firefight!" Oyariyu listened to the hasty footsteps of the men around him. He took a few steps out from behind his cover and looked directly at the enemy ranks on the other side and slid his thumb across his throat. Afterwards, he sauntered back to his cover and crouched behind it.

Oyariyu's Vorn Cat, Birala, climbed out of the pod and made its way to the corner of the hall, just out of sight of the GA soldiers. The Orange and Black of the armor the soldiers wore looked absolutely delicious to her. She licked her teeth in anticipation of the shield to come down. Then, the feast would begin for the felinoid. Birala had a thin armor made for her, to better protect her from blaster fire. Oh, how she so loved to come out and play.

The turbolift doors opened back on the bridge deck. Almost as soon as Ben had begun his descent, help had been requested, so Ben had made his way back up to Corridor A1. Ben stepped out and looked down the hallway. There, Ben saw Alliance troops stationed and a ray shield activated. Ben stooped down and picked up the blaster rifle of a fallen soldier. He ran down the hall, towards the Alliance soldiers. "Hello, Sergeant Illium, I here you needed a Jedi."

"Thanks for your assistance Padawan Losan" Samuel said "The Mandalorians are just on the other side of those ray shields and they are preparing for a massive final assault on the bridge. They outnumber us several to one, but with a Jedi it evens the odds a bit. I need you too rush them once the shields are down. We will immediately throw a volley of cooked thermal detonators, so the way should be partially cleared. You are to eliminate the heavy gunners to the rear of their position. Those are key to our victory. Are you up to the task Padawan?"

"I am up for it Sergeant." Ben slung the rifle over his back and unhooked his lightsaber. He brought it up so the Sergeant could see. "I will not fail." Ben turned his attention towards the other side of the ray shield. Ben observed the doorways and what Mandalorians weren't in cover. He formed a plan in his head.

Lucifer, and a group of rushing soldiers, headed towards the turbo lifts, rounding a corner and filing into a large hangar where they were making ranks and preparing to reinforce several different areas; one of which was calling specifically for Jedi. Only a single officer stood barking at the head of three blocks of soldiers, pointing to rush in the sluggish and to order another group off. His headset blasted into his ear, a wonder how he managed to scream orders and listen to a dozen other calls from all over the ship. Lucifer himself jogged up along the side of the soldiers and to the front where he might figure out where he was best needed, not heading all the different calls for Jedi aid when more than one was being made.

"What the hell are you doin up here?! Jedi! Hey! What are you doing? They need you at the bridge!", the officer spat over the heads of turning soldiers. Lucifer looked up at him, confused as to where the bridge was located; a bit of an oversight on his part not to better learn the layout of the ship he now strolled. Lucifer opened his mouth to hesitantly ask which lift would take him there the quickest from here, but then the hangar shook as another pod drilled its way into the hull there. All the heads swiveled around, trying to find the source of the obvious penetration just there where they stood. Suddenly, with the sparks of hot lightning sounding the show of almost instantly carved metal, the side of the hull blew open and a hoard of Mandalorians charged out into the hangar screaming and raging for blood. In seconds, a whole column of soldiers were mowed down from the side as blaster fire and grenades tore through their uselessly tidy ranks.

Lucifer flinched to the initial booming sounds, then ducked to look through the scurrying bodies of wide open soldiers. The single officer nearly burst the vessels in his neck screaming to scatter and retaliate until a grenade explosion threw him across the hangar and chaos ensued. A soldier fell back onto Lucifer, almost forcing Lucifer to the ground beneath him, but he managed to shirk the man from his shoulder and turned to see the large charred hole in the mans chest. Lucifer stumbled back into a corner in the wall and picked up his comm link, blindly reporting to the wide network of Alliance communication.

"Reinforcements have been cut off on deck three! We're-" A blaster shot grazed past Lucifer's shoulder as he held his breath to duck. "This is Padawan Lucifer Vapaelraizo! We're being overrun!" Another soldier screamed to the pain of his final moments, falling over in Lucifer's line of sight and clearing his gaze to the body of their commanding officer. Lucifer gulped down his quickening breaths and reattached his comm link to his belt before drawing his blaster and rushing over towards the man through the hail-fire of death and all out war in this one room; blaster bolts as numerous as rain drops on the surface of Kamino and curses calling through it all from both sides like thunder.

"Ten seconds!" Samuel yelled to everyone. As soon as the shields would go down, Sam knew there would be massive loss of life on the enemies side as well as his. Those two words spoken may be some of the last words his men ever hear. Clicks and rings of thermal detonators rang throughout the corridor. The Jedi Padawan readied himself for the attack. A few injured soldiers to the rear cried out, as if they knew the horror that was to come.

The shields dropped.

Curiously, the resistance was rather light at the Warmaster's position, deeper down in the bowels of the Alliance flagship. From the comm-chatter, she knew that amongst the many pods that had struck the Legendary-class Dreadnought, at least one had hit the bridge, and that a firefight was occuring within the highly sensetive area. And that knowledge made her sigh within her helmet. The bridge would certainly be damaged, and quite heavily so, during the lightshow going on up there, and that damage would take several weeks, if not months to repair. And Carien of Clan Bralor wanted the Alliance's flagship as intact as possible. But, as with everything in life, nothing goes quite as you want them to be. And it would at least serve to distract the majority of the Alliance troops from the Mandalorians' main objective. But unfortunately, the shortest route to that objective, went through the hangar bay on deck three. Which happened to be the scene of a relatively large skirmish as it was. But then, honest toil had never been a stranger to Clan Bralor.

With the detonation of a liberal amount of detonite tape, the blast doors were persuaded to open the path for the Bralor raiding party, and first through the breach were the three Clan-Brothers in their massive Zakkeg suits, all of them painted a bright crimson. These heavily armoured warriors, with their massive blast shields, would take the first reprisal from the Alliance troops within the hangar, and from the small hole cut into the side of the interlocking shields, they were the first to open fire with their Big Rippers. These massive and potent weapons would tear straight through personal body armour and flesh alike, and not even the armour of the starfighters and transports resting within the hangar would be proof against the Mandalorian firepower.

"For the Core!" one soldier roared as he sat into the fighter, its engines flaming with the intention of driving straight into the Mandalorian hoard. Some took cover along the walls and exit to the hall, while others were trapped deep in the hangar behind docked ships and cargo. All scurrying in between were cut in half by the boarding party's destructive firepower. Yet a crossfire was returned in kind with the Mandalorians filing into open space, and a small group near the exit focused their fire on the cat walks and hangar apparatus above the Mandalorian made entrance. The smashing metal would rain onto the intruding bodies of the Mandalorians. One soldier on the opposite side, hidden behind a ship and two soldiers, shot covering fire with the aid of his under-side grenade launcher at the side of Mandalorians where they entered through the hull, while a grenadier finally threw a concussion grenade, with a four meter blast radius, behind the Mandalorians that would potentially cut off their numbers for a moment. The kinetic blast had the potential to kill most organic types within the radius and stun most just outside its radius, damaging equipment and hopefully breaking the Mandalorians' initial attack long enough for more soldiers to make for the exit.

Lucifer knelt down over the officer and tried to hear his last breaths. He whispered something into his hear, grabbing the lightsaber at his belt, before he seized and his head fell limp. Lucifer hadn't heard a thing over the noise, glaring at death with a new perspective. He'd taken life before. He'd even lived amidst disease and starvation, surrounded by murder and madness. But this was different. He'd never watched someone, whom he was charged with fighting along side, show such brass in the face of defeat. Two more men were shot down around him, most fire too high to notice Lucifer on the ground. He holstered his blaster, and cupped his palm around the officer's knuckles, still tightly clenching Lucifer's lightsaber hilt. It was difficult, but he managed to rip the hilt from the man's grip, pulling it also from his belt. Lucifer had no idea what his last orders were, or if they were in fact curses for failing the man so, but he surged with emotion; perhaps not the most Jedi-like approach, yet not the first time he'd felt so compelled either. He took up his Shien stance and instinctually ignited the blue beam into a stray shot that buzzed violently on contact, surprisingly stinging the side of his hip as he let out a yelp of pain. The slug would have missed him entirely if not for his intervention, now having grazed his hip and clearly cut right through the Alliance armor he wore. Lucifer quickly realized that the odds were not in his favor.

Thankfully, the Mandalorian assault team led by the War Master were equipped to deal with nearly any situation. As the damaged fighter began to move towards the war-party, two of the three warriors in the Zakkeg armour parted to expose a warrior in the more standard Aliit'gam armour. A warrior carrying a Dral'beviin cannon. With a loud crack like thunder, a lance of brilliant white light shot from the massive weapon and punched clean through the fighter, and whatever was behind it, until it dissipated against the ship's thick hull. The smouldering remains of the fighter skidded along the hangar deck until it came to a halt not far from the front of the Mandalorian formation. As soon as the Warrior with the Dral'beviin had discharged his weapon, his brothers in the Zakkeg suits closed ranks again, allowing their massive beskar shields deflect the grenade fire.

Most of the debris that rained down from the catwalks and support apparatus hanging above the boarding party bounced harmlessly off their heavy armour, but here the Mandalorians had their first casualties. A girder fell, and trapped two blue-armoured warriors under it's potent weight, crushing bone and organs alike. This, of course, enraged the Mandalorian warriors. Their brothers had fallen to the enemy.

"Alor?"

"'Lek?"

"Jetii."

"Ori'jate."

Now, it was the Mandalorians turn to use grenades. A volley of deadly little spheres came from behind cover of the heavy shields of the Zakkeg-clad warriors. Several of the spheres exploded in mid-air, spraying the Alliance soldiers with a lethal combo of thermite and white phosphorus. The incendiary metal would burn clean through armour without problems, and nevermind the soft flesh that would lurk beneath. It was a horrific, painful, and ugly weapon. It wasn't a quick death, nor a guaranteed death. Some may simply be crippled and disfigured. But war was never pretty.

Before the shock of the horrific grenade assault could disperse, the Zakkeg Warriors parted one last time, and allowed the other warriors surge forth. These blue and red clad Mandalorians were armed with a wide assortment of weapons. Several carried the Outcry-class automatic ripper shotguns, which roared to life as they charged the Alliance troopers. Others had more familiar Firestorm repeaters. But the War Master herself had not drawn her ranged weapon, a simple Ripper pistol strapped to her hip. Instead, she had drawn the heavy beskad which she held firmly in her right hand. And she was headed straight for the Jedi, with his glowing weapon marking him out. And along with her warriors, she gave a mighty cry, amplified by the speakers built into their helmets: "Gra'tua par cuun vode!" Vengeance for our bothers.

Carien charged straight into the Jedi, lowering her shoulders to ram them into his waist, hoping to bring the Jedi down onto the hard deck. Once there, she would chop her heavy beskad down into the arm holding the blue lightsaber, hoping to sever the grasping limb.

Oyariyu and the men and women around him were pounding away at the GA before them. It was obvious they were well-trained. Which of course was no surprise. The Jedi had been speaking to what looked like the commanding officer in that area. He, then, looked over at his Vorn Cat and nodded signaling to attack the force sensitive.

Birala watched as the Jedi talked to an officer. Snarling and letting out a low roar, she bounded toward him from the side. She moved quickly, toward him in an attempt to see him disabled. Her master always wanted to indulge in the joy of taking the life of the Jedi. She took down two soldiers on the way to the Jedi, gashing open their faces with heavy claw swipes. She moved in virtually undetected as she is hard to sense using the Force and went to pin the Jedi.

"Aaaaaah!!!", the soldier screamed with terror as the light consumed him and smacked into the personal ship with a splash of electrical parts, shattering the image of what once was a starfighter into a hunk of unidentifiable metal. The soldier's corpse could no longer be found in this existence. Following the projectile's blast came a shower of grenades, some popping in the air and spitting down the sparks of metal into the horrific cries of Alliance soldiers. Even more burst into the floor and ignited their boots. Some soldiers threw away their weapons and tried tearing off their melting armor, most not quick enough to free themselves from the digging drip of hot metal into their skins. Others collapsed from the white pain they experienced. Easily loosing at least a dozen soldiers, the frantic soldiers were even further scattered; though some kept to their cover and continued their rally of defense. Fear filled their hearts, while some, more experienced soldiers, welcomed their end in the service of the free peoples.

Lucifer witnessed the brilliant light across the hangar with disbelief, eyes aglow with the ending of life and the rain of fire that follow. He even saw some Alliance soldiers exploding at random, seemingly for no reason; but the incendiaries had reached some of their belts, which carried grenades that blasted further into their diminishing numbers. This was the battlefield he was to enter now. Truly the burden of the galaxy, he thought to himself, recalling his own words recently on Onderon. His jaw had fallen open in astonishment of the thundering might of the Mandalorians, his helmetless eyes trailing down to the dropping and squirming bodies of the Alliance on fire and through the parting ranks of the Mandalorians. Warriors in blue and red began pouring out and into the disbanded Alliance. And one, in her own unique armor, marked Luficer out between the crossing bodies. They raged with their war of meaningless death, and Lucifer rallied upon his own anger.

Lucifer stepped into a bounding twist, having jumped barely up over the charging Mandalorian just in time, and released a left-handed Force Push straight down onto the Mandalorian's upper spine as she had lowered her shoulders that would surely force her chest down hard but not necessarily her head and therefore restrict the possibility of a roll-out. Lucifer would land quickly out of the twist to face the Mandalorian's backside and duck down to a crouch to avoid the battle at large. Two sweeping strides led his low stature to rush the Mandalorian from behind and cross a slice through the Mandalorian's leg. Lucifer had not been prepared with knowledge of Mandalorian armor or weaponry. He was fighting in a mist of ignorance.

One soldier picked up a portable missile launcher, used to quickly destroy penetrating starships that might deploy the enemy, and took aim from the left of the Mandalorian hoard. He discharged the anti-armor projectile right into the side of the opened cluster of shields dispersing red and blue armored foes.

The soldier that had been providing cover fire with his grenade launcher had been taken down, but the grenadier took up his weapon and unleashed several shots to the other side of the hoard; bottle necking the unloading warriors until he ran empty. But the line between Alliance and Mandalorian had begun to mix, much more in favor of the Mandalorians. But the exit to the hall was held, being to the side corner away from the Mandalorian made entrance.

Most Alliance soldiers, that still remained, could only fire their blaster rifles and pistols in response to the rippers. Yet so many still scurried back and forth, most making way towards the exit through the few ships that remained as cover. Though the Alliance was fighting admirably, the Mandalorians were cutting through this ill-prepared line of defense.

As the shields dropped, Ben ignited his lightsaber and turned away from the the sergeant. He saw two soldiers fall to the ground and on top of them was a huge feline. Ben didn't recognize it and couldn't sense it in the Force. The feline charged at Ben and Ben jumped out of its way. As Ben jumped, he brought his lightsaber down, trying to cut the thing's tail off.
